But it had to be today. Julie had this crazy feeling in her stomach. Not nervous butterflies. More like fireflies that were trying to zap her (Do fireflies electrocute people? She should google that). It felt like that moment her parents spoke about all the time. The day they met. And when they first spoke to each other. Her mom always says that an intense zap went through her whole body.

Are you new or nervous? Julie has been waiting a (short)lifetime to hear those words be said to her.

She walked down a few more steps in the auditorium and found a spot. It was one of the few seats left in the room that wasn’t all the way up in the back. She sat down and settled into the uncomfortable, hard, plastic chair and took a deep shaky breath. The prof was nowhere to be seen. But there was a cute boy in the seat next to her. He had sort of long brown hair that was covered with a grey toque. And he was wearing a cut off t-shirt and you could see his very nice arms. Julie’s breathing was still shaky, and his attractiveness wasn’t helping the situation.

The Poetry of Fate (Fate is a Bad Poet)

Day Four (October 10th - Thursday): Mates That Klaus and Caroline were destined to be together, that much we knew for sure. But what if that was a truth they knew and had to acknowledge? How would they deal with knowing that the universe or fate or ancient magic determined that they were the best fit for each other? Be it as werewolves who traditionally have mates, be it in the canon universe where they have to deal with this revelation in the middle of all the Mystic Falls drama… Few AUs are as beloved or as fun!

This one will be short, and I’m going with the classic soulmate trope. I accidentally made it a bit angsty...oops

Every person is born with a tattoo on their body, a tattoo only they can see which spells out the first words their soulmate will say to them. From the moment Caroline first learned the purpose of her mark she was enamored. Someone who would be her perfect match? Who would love her best? Why wouldn’t she want such a thing?

So, she begged her mommy and daddy to teach her to read. Demanded bedtime stories every night as she eagerly followed along. Listened to their voices as they trailed their fingers across the words. Later, Caroline would recognize their expressions as indulgent amusement, neither unaware of the motive behind her drive.

But they were happy to encourage her learning, and so Caroline read the words on her arm at a precocious four.

If he doesn't feed, he'll die anyway, love. Consider this an experiment. It's okay.

She did have to check the dictionary several times to understand the word ex-per-i-ment (experiment!). And then several more times in puzzled confusion to try to make sense of the meaning of the words.

Eventually, she had to admit defeat and ask her parents for help. Under their concerned eyes, they told her not to worry about it. An answer she didn’t accept though an explanation wasn’t forth coming for several years.

That was how she learned her soulmate was likely a vampire.

More years slipped by, and her feelings about vampires changed with the seasons. As a child, despite her parents’ warnings and horror stories she didn’t care. Why would she, when surely they would love her regardless?

When she grew older and realized a soulmate didn’t necessarily equate to happiness, wariness set in. But even then, surely she should judge on an individual basis? After all, one didn’t have to be a literal monster to be monstrous.

And then the Salvatores came to town. Stefan with his quick dismissals and his brother, the murderous rapist. Caroline managed to get the better of Damon, but only just, only thanks to her father’s lessons. That was when honest concern about her soulmate entered her heart.

Of course, such concerns became distant once Katherine killed her. With the seemingly endless plots surrounding Elena. What did it matter if her soulmate was a vampire, when she now was one too? When Elena was on the chopping block to be sacrificed on a near literal altar?

Werewolves. The Lockwoods. Elijah. Klaus. The sacrifice. Elena’s death and resurrection. Stefan’s roadtrip from hell. It seemed her life had become one disaster after another and she had no time to dwell on her would-be soulmate.

It just figured that when she stopped looking he would show up. And that he would be her enemy. The scourge of the supernatural world even.

Poison burning in her veins, her body aching as it slowly rotted from the inside out, Caroline couldn’t help but laugh at the bitter irony. So long she had stared at her words and wondered who her soulmate would be, and she hadn’t even processed him saying them at first.

Tyler dying. Her classmates used as puppets. An ancient blonde bitch sparking her temper like no other had before her. Klaus’ condescending placation was just another buzzing voice to her racing mind.

Later she would recall what he had said. Later she would silently soak her pillow with tears for the death of a long held dream. Later she would decide it didn’t matter, she could find her own happiness.

And now the happiness she had chosen for herself has killed her. On the orders of her soulmate.

God, what a joke.

Even men such as Klaus were once boys with kernels of hope for a perfect love in their hearts. He had liked to imagine that his rather foreboding words could still be promising. Perhaps, she would be a shield-maiden that he defeats in battle? A strong, glorious woman he could prove his worth to.

It's summer break and everyone is enjoying crazy vacations and parties, but I'm stuck at home watching the same movie over and over again in my room. I truly think nothing exciting will happen, until my next door neighbor I haven't spoken to in years taps on my bedroom window and asks me to go on an adventure just like old times.

You’re my ex who’s (unfortunately) in the same friend group as I am and although we try to have the most minimal interaction ever since our pretty rough break-up, one beach party our annoying friends dragged us to makes me realize all of the things about you that I sometimes still miss. (Bonus: we both hate beaches)

Person A and Person B work at a summer camp every year where they grow closer with each experience. Living long distance for the remainder of the seasons proves to be difficult, but hey, who said a summer romance wouldn’t be a good idea? Especially when a rule of no dating is included in the policy. 

Person A is very bad at carnival games, but really wants to win the biggest prize. Person B thinks the games are a waste of money, but indulges Person A regardless. 

I’m visiting my grandparents for the summer and they live on this tiny island. I’m kinda forced to spend the summer here but the cute guy/girl makes it just a tad bit more bearable, and I somehow find myself not wanting to leave the island once summer is nearing its end.

Person A is going on a holiday to Australia. Person B works as a surfer instructor at the beach there. Person A thinks Person B is cute. Therefore Person A thinks taking surfing lessons is a great idea.

momo and todoroki’s families were friends so they actually know each other, and momo is constantly getting after bakugou for being a delinquent so they know each other, but baku and todo don’t know each other at all 

momo and baku are always going head to head and one day they’re in the hallways after class and one minute momo’s rambling something about a hall pass and bakugou’s rolling his eyes and the next second they’re making out

bakugou is just like, “well, i had to shut u up somehow”

from then on whenever she gets after him he kinda teases her about how she’s such a good girl but that’s not how he remembers her in the hallway, behind the football stadium, between the shelves of the library..

they sorta have a thing going on but it literally always starts w them bickering and turns into a makeout sesh

anyway one day, baku and momo are in the library and they start going at it again and todoroki peers around the corner and hey, he might be a loner and sort of quiet but that’s his close friend momo, no way this guy is gonna force himself on her- and todoroki isn’t scared of bakugou anyway so-

“don’t touch her”

both bakugou and momo turn at the sound of the voice, which came from todoroki whose peering around the corner

“who the fuck are you”

“i.. i’m momo’s friend. and i won’t let you put your hands on her like that-”

“the fuck? if you were really momo’s friend, you know she’s capable of handling herself”

“calm down katsuki,,” momo is like, whisper shouting because the boys didn’t bother lowering her voices and she really doesn’t wanna get kicked out of the library with bakugou’s bite marks on her neck

“todoroki, bakugou is my.. well we’re kind of-”

“we’re dating”

todoroki’s eyes are probably as big as they were in horikoshi’s last sketch of he and inasa by now LOL

he’s so fucking confused

but they leave the library and go to a nearby coffee shop to work it out

momo explains while bakugou does a lot more eyerolling until momo decides that these are the two most important guys in her life and they will get along

they have a lot of study dates that turn into movies and cuddling since all three of them have sort of an aptitude for school

none of them like sporting events but momo’s an alternate cheerleader so they boys go to some of her games and oops maybe they’re sharing a hot dog and holding hands

they eventually all have The Talk at momo’s house, in her bathroom no less,, it sort of all just spilled out when she said she was kind of in love with both of them, only for bakugou to fucking agree and shouto also 

pda usually involves people thinking bakugou is dating either todoroki OR momo but not both 

plenty of annoying cheating rumors

they all accidentally wear each other’s uniforms 

roadtrips for days

passing notes in certain classes

trading lunches every day because shouto likes momo’s dessert candies and bakugou likes to feed his boyfriend

momo being a princess at all times, so much so that todo and baku end up bickering even more than she and bakugou ever did LOL

Hi I show up every time you post which is haha, so funny, but I just wanna know if you've figured out that I'm a desperate bitch yet and if not, I'm a desperate bitch and I like your stuff. You're cool (also what're your thoughts on a road trip AU featuring young!Tony with a lot of trauma under his belt alongside honourably discharged Bucky who's forgotten how to live but they meet in the middle and it becomes a little easier to breathe)

-chokes-Oh manFirst off, i really would like to encourage people to just randomly describe themselves in my inbox.SECOND this is the first time I've replied to an ask with the mobile app and i don't understand why it's not automatically double spaced, it's really fucking with me, but I'm about as likely to do something about it as i am to tell my phone to auto-capitalize "i". I just Don't CareTHIRDLYROADTRIPokay first off I've had a very few good roadtrips and only one was "Long" (~18 hours) BUT i have great stories from those and now i am picturing not only a young Tony maybe on the run or just trying not to be home, and poor Bucky who got an honorable discharge but got fucked over because that's the American way, but all the avengers because the best roadtrip is when there's two cars and by about halfway through you're straight up enemiesSo like, car 1: Rhodey, Nat, Pepper, Bucky, and Tony. Car 2: Steve, Clint, Phil, and Sam. Because those are who i currently feel like giving a fuck about. Pepper had hugged him and said "Pretty please?" and Tony's no good at turning down requests, especially from his few, beloved friends))(((Nat took a different approach with Bucky, who didn't want to come either. Which is stupid and cliche but Phil manages to turn it into an actual conversation and in the backseat Sam's texting the whole thing to Bucky, who keeps sending back strings of emojis that aren't always sensible but like, Sam totally gets it. And then Sam gets a text of the top of a head of messy dark brown curls and a string of panicking emojis. There's a suspicious blushing emoji in there though and Sam snickers to himself. Steve wakes up with a little "hm?" which is too cute for words so Sam just passes him the phoneTony started off working on his tablet but he hasn't slept in...a while and he's been stressing about this but now he's in Rhodey's familiar car and Pepper's got classic rock going kinda quiet and Nat snuck her toes under his leg and he fights it for a while, but eventually he slumps over, and he doesn't even notice himself sliding towards the warmth that smells like machine oil and leather. Tony looks small and sweet and quiet and Bucky likes to watch him sometimes, when he can, even though he feels like a creep. It's just that Tony seems so alive in a way that Bucky can't really capture. Like he's so tired but so full of life and fire and maybe that's optimism he's not sure but he thinks it might be. Everyone always seems tired on campus, or young and stupid, or just so unrelatable. And it's not that he can relate to Tony so much as he wishes he could. Like watching the moon in the surface of a lake and being afraid of the ripples. Bucky slowly relaxes, lulled into it by Tony's quiet breathing, and Nat gives him a very obvious thumbs up, with a certain look in her eyes, and he catches Rhodey's eye in the rearview mirror, so he slides down a little, slowand quiet, tucks an arm around Tony and lets himself relax, puts down three phone and stares out the windowThey stop at an all-night walmart when Clint suddenly realizes they don't have SUPPLIESWATER SUPPLIES!!!Bucky and Tony go in, with Clint and Phil, to get Supplies, while everyone else stretches their legs or texts demands for snacks.They grab a bunch of stuff, everything that looks even mildly amusing, Tony sleep-fuzzy and relaxed from it, and in line him and Clint attack each other with pool noodles, earning a few glares from other shoppers, but they're laughing too!much to care. There's not really room in the cars for everything but they make it work and they're all wide awake then, everyone chattering for the last two hours before they realize they should've arrived by now and then Rhodey stops (he was the one leading) and there's dogs barking and they're in a trailer park andPhil calls him just to ask, "What the fuck Rhodes."They all get out their phones and they're yelling directions at Rhodey and they're lucky he loves them because seriously they deserve death at this point. i’ve always felt like zayn is the one for me, writing from his pov is the most enjoyable and the easiest for me. maybe because i like to think that we are kind of similar in some cases so i’m projecting myself on him sdajkhda except he’s much cooler and better and wonderful-er. but yeah, i’d say zayn.

i’ve read They Ask Me What’s My Best Side, I Step Back and Point At You and it was fucking amazing, i loved it. it’s an old one though but a great one. 

from the new ones, i loved Before We Burn, it made me finally read Fahrenheit 451 and fell in love with it even more ;’)
