This multi-year team project has finally come to a close. I wanted to get everything done by the anniversary that sorobochi wrote their last letter, so I'm really happy that everything came into place. (past the last chapter credit art)

Special thank you to the team: Rassicas, Trisloshr and Roachgore, who go above and beyond in the quality of their work. They've been extremely receptive to my demands and without them this translation could not have been possible. And of course a thank you to you, the readers, for your unending support.

Since we first decided to start translating this manga, there's so much I've learned and such cool people I've been able to meet because of it. It's been a wonderful, terrific ride.

We still intend on translating more Sorobochi stuff in the future - I'll be getting to older chapters to update its quality. There's a cool Agent 4 comic I'm intent on typesetting. So keep an eye out. And get your friends to read this comic now that it's finished.

During the 90's of the Mollusc Era, Abyss of Chains enraptured the youth of their day with their heavy, grungy, and rockin' sound. While this band hailing from the Deepsea broke up many years ago, their music is still enjoyed by those with a sense of nostalgia for a time long gone. Going from left to right...

Richard was the oldest member of the band, and the bassist and backing vocalist. This giant isopod usually has a short temper, but playing his trusty bass is one of the few things that soothes his soul. You can call him “Rich” for short, he doesn't take kindly to having his name shortened to "Dick." Maddox was the band's frontman and the youngest. This laidback bigfin squid was passionate about the lyrics he wrote and sang, and encouraged fans to find their own meanings in his songs rather than ask him about it. Abyss of Chains sadly disbanded following his death in M.E. 1999. Xackery was the band's electric guitarist and mixer. This cocky and self-absorbed viperfish would often clash with the others, especially Richard. However, he clearly showed a deep respect for his bandmate's talents. These days, he's a married man with a solo career. Barrett is quiet by nature and only utters simple sentences, but this barreleye loves to bang on his drums at any opportunity he can get. He didn't really care what direction the band went in, he was just there for the ride. He's still an active drummer to this day.

The album art was sketched by @roachgore and colored by me, using @GSunfoxes Splatoon brush! I designed Richard and roach designed Maddox, Xackery, and Barrett. The band’s logo was designed by roach and I colored and cleaned it up.

The band is mostly inspired by Alice in Chains, and I imagine in the Splatoon world they would have a similar level of popularity. Neither me or roach have any musical talent to make an actual sample of their music, so if you want a sense of how they would sound, just imagine this but with a gargle filter.

7. Show us at least one picture you drew or sketched recently that you did not put on a public site.

Here’s something I haven’t uploaded to discord yet. It’s Pact, @voidfulcrow‘s Rubato and @gohmamaracas‘s Allegro!

10. What do you like most about your art?

My sense of composition’s pretty great. However, I mostly upload doodles on this account, so I don’t have many pieces here that really showcase composition n’ stuff.

14. What do you like drawing the most?

It really depends on what I’m focusing on at the time. Right now it’s Octavo (specifically Pactavo), but the Masked Man (from Mother 3) and Shuichi Saihara (DRV3) are also some of my faves.

17. What would you absolutely refuse to draw?

Things like extreme kinks, p/dophilia, etc. (among fanart for certain fandoms). As for something more light-hearted, I’d say I never want to draw a padoru again, since my sister asked me to draw her one (and I did) and FROM THEN ON I HAVEN’T BEEN ABLE TO ESCAPE THE PADORUS?? THEY’RE EVERYWHERE ON DISCORD AND IT’S BEEN TWO MONTHS SINCE CHRISTMAS BUT I STILL SEE THEM SOMETIMES ON DISCORD-

22. List at least one of your “artspirations.”

I get style inspiration from steelix666_ (on twitter), slimyswampghost, and roachgore (also on twitter). They’re just the first artists I thought of from the top of my head! Traditional art’s also great, and it helps me out a LOT with my other stuff. (Check out Kai Lun Qu‘s art. It’s good. I had him as a teacher for a few years)
