The smile the butler gave him caused him to get shivers, but he chose not to show it as he got ready for the day. Looking through his phone, he texts Soojin.

TEXT: I'll be heading out to the location you sent me previously. my driver said it should take about 30 minutes.

After he checked over the message and finding it agreeable, he sent it. With that done, he got up from the table after he finished his breakfast, leaving the dish behind for a maid to pick up and clean. Walking into the garage attached to his house, he entered the BMW 7 Series car that was already warming up. His driver Han's and his bodyguard Choi Han at the front with him in the back, lazily around as the driver began to drive to pick up his friend? More like an acquaintance he just so happened to reconnect with a few weeks ago. With his rising fame in the influencer scene, he noticed a familiar face and decided to message her to find out it was his classmate. Now here he was outside the location she sent him after almost half an hour of driving, courtesy of morning traffic.

                      he’d grown more accustomed to his job at the manor, the incidents of broken artwork and dead flowers had become fewer - but sometimes his body still trembled with the effort of keeping his great strength contained. it was during such a moment, while he urged himself not to shatter the flower vase between his hands that he forgot his current task and found himself absently looking out the window at the gardens he tended. stood in the middle of the hallway, not a single thought other than keeping the vase in one piece. which unfortunately wasn’t in the cards for the cheery boy as his fingers pressed too tightly against the glass and it shattered, water spilling on his feet and flowers slipping to the floor.

               ‘ ah!! ‘ in a hurry he knelt to collect them, the sound of footsteps catching his attention. it was the woman who was hiding out in the young masters home ( with ciel’s permission of course ). ‘ oh, hello my lady. am i in your way? ‘

With clipped wings, and his glider rapidly descending in the sudden oncoming downpour, he had little choice but to all but crash on the roof of a rather odd looking building in the residential district- any alternatives weren’t looking much better.

Wincing as the metal frame screeches across the roof tile like nails on a chalkboard, metal snapping and twisting, he only just manages to prevent the entire contraption from sliding right off the edge- the splintered metal dangling from strips of torn fabric like some sort of bizarre marionette. 

Holding his breath, he hopes that no one inside had heard anything. There were lights on, but...

...

...

...That was close...

Gingerly getting up on one knee, he inspects the wreckage of the glider, now damaged far beyond possibly being flight-worthy.

Walking, then, was the last available option. But...

...Well, for now, he’d wait out this rainstorm. Pulling the twisted glider towards him, he props up the tattered frame and sits underneath it. It wasn’t really much shelter, but it was preferable to nothing.

It was common for Subaru to come over to Agasa’s residence with food. So, here he was, still wearing oven mitts and an apron, with what he’d just cooked. 

Since there had been no case, it was properly done instead of being undercooked. Whether or not it was overly sweet was another matter entirely, and that was a matter of personal taste.

It was midnight, but the city was still buzzing everywhere you looked, adults rushing home from work, teenagers out partying, and there were people like Kiara who just wanted to stroll through the area and just take it all in. She found the city noise soothing to her ears, especially after coming back from the latest job bruised and sore. Kiara was thinking about what she should order for dinner when she noticed a girl standing close to the railing of the bridge, too close. She doesn’t realize she’s walking quickly toward her until she’s reaching out to wrap her hand around the girl’s wrist, tugging her back from the railing.

“I,” Kiara stammers, letting go of her wrist. “Sorry about that, I don’t you if you realized, but you were real close to the drop we don’t want you falling now.” She smiles nervously.

「    THREAD DROP ( plus some rl insights ) :

It’s come ( rather late ) to my attention, I haven’t been able to do a proper job on replying to both threads and asks for the past... months or so, which means that I will have to drop some threads and asks again, even though it will pain me to do so.

Usually, it’ll mostly be those I’ve lost muse for, those that haven’t been responded to in a while, those that are event-based, or those considered basically finished, but this time, it’s a little bit more than that ; I haven’t been feeling well this summer due to some heavy and personal incidents, and I did the wrong thing to try and push myself to stay on the track, by ignoring what I should have been attentive to from the get-go. It led to falling behind with a lot of things, including roleplaying, and I’ve dropped into a state where I basically can’t do things effectively. I’d rather not make you guys wait and wonder when you’ll get my replies, especially when I’m not sure of when they will be posted, so this drop is more to alleviate the load and be less of an inconvenience to you guys, than me not wanting to continue the threads.

If anything, the possibility of picking them up again is odds-on ( probably not right now, of course ), and every thread that I have is listed on my threadtracker, even the dropped ones, as they are merely archived. So, if there are threads you still really like and want to pick up again ( even the very very old age ones ), you can very easily to poke at me, and we can talk about it together !

As per usual, threads from both this account and my other ones will be dropped.

And lastly, I am so deeply sorry for the inconvenience, everyone //bows head deeply.

adventure :
