Usually the first or second Wednesday in May, McDonald's donates proceeds from all the food sold to support Ronald McDonald Houses across Canada (possibly also the US, but it's definitely a thing here).

My family always enthusiastically participates because I was a preemie (I was ten weeks early), and my parents had to stay in the RMDH near the hospital where I was born.

People also thought he would get engaged to Ellie and I actually believed in that one more than this one. Seb and Ale is just fuckin weird / why? I mean, they didn't even last a year, he never acknowledged having a girlfriend during that era (I remember at least 2 occasions of him shaking the direct question off), he didn't defend her at any point (that post with RDJ's quote after their restaurant date was weak lol). It actually seemed a lot like Will and Alissa just really wanted to get themselves a couple to be besties with and found 2 single friends from their group, so Seb was like, ok, whatever. Imo, of course.

I can't explain it. It was just different. They seemed serious, and when Seb went MIA and did a huge 180 to the fandom after she got called out, it was just a huge impact on him. Instagram Seb Pre vs during/post Ellie was different. He became different to fans. It was obvious she meant enough to him for it to make literally almost everything change. His fandom was never like this to this degree. She was not a fling. May I add they also traveled together to various places, but it was never posted publicly (Ellie was private, but her friends always did Easter eggs) and, obviously, did not take place during a pandemic. Seb traveling with GF’s is nothing out of this world or new. It just felt more serious in that regard. Sebastian went to cons and RMDH events calling out fans about bullying, not that long after the whole thing. He kind of did defend her. Also, we don't know how long they lasted. Fans love to say they did, but people were speculating they were still together during quarantine and shacking up in his home. They can lie all they want but that's the truth.

I think mdceleste wanted her 2 minutes of fame for a good cause (fighting bullism) but she chose the wrong fandom. I don't know if she was talking about E (and I don't feel empathy for E being bullied!) or Net or in general or if she saw that pics of S&E with RACISM written on their faces (since RMDH was tagged) so asked him during his visit what happened, anyway it was not a good idea. It's never a good idea talking about something you know nothing about or that can cause dramas...

5 years ago today I was watching my mother cry, unable to speak clearly for her fatigue and grief, mumbling ‘I just don’t want you to have a childhood like mine.’

I spent the day in the visitors center, looking different types of chemo up on Wikipedia and drinking shitty cappuccinos from the free machine, because hey if you’re in the pediatric oncology inpatient ward you deserve free coffee.

My aunt canceled work to drive up and look after me and Audrey because Dad was still living half a country away and couldn’t come back because he couldn’t tell his new job that his son was on deaths doorway because he was still in his ‘trial´ period and there wasn’t room at RMDH and we couldn’t stay home alone.

Everyone was talking about how we didn’t need to talk about how he was maybe going to die.

And. I remember the statistics like. If you live 5 years past the onset of treatment your changes of dying go back to normal. your chances of getting a different kind of cancer is essentially normal. 5 years seemed so far away.

but we got here

this summer I’m going to go visit my grandmas ashes, and i didn’t have the childhood filled with doctors and drugs the way my mom did

I spent fucking $4 on a stupid mocha this morning because no one pities me anymore, no one even knows and when I look up medical shit on Wikipedia it’s because it’s interesting not because my brother is being wield of for a bone marrow tap and no one told us what that means.

My aunt is coming up, to watch Eric run in the conference meet because not only is he okay, he’s great, he can still run, he can still do anything and just-

I have had the number 5 years in my head and i honestly didn’t know what I would do when we got here. Go to the hospital for tests. Cry. fuck, visit his grave, for a while.

But we get to go and watch him win a race.

And just. we got here. And like yeah he’s got some shit, we all have some shit, and like even now we are finding out some of the shit that he has but-

Leaving Brazil separately instead of having the planned vacation, December separately, New Year's Eve separately, her practically coming back to live Australia soon. All the cons were in 2019, obviously after the split, and I find his vague "internet...fans hurting people in my life..." comments well, vague lol. The quarantine theories were peak comedy, good for Ellie she was clearly in Australia then (her friends posted smth, if I remember correctly). Sorry if I sound like I'm trying to get you to agree with me, I just wanted to clear out the timeline of events. Anyway, thanks for this response.

No one believed the narrative that they split after Brazil except for like two people lol. And they were seen on another trip even after Brazil in another country. Nah, don’t worry you’re not coming off that way lol, but I just find it so crazy that people seemed to have forgotten everything that happened up until late 2019, unless maybe there were only a few that knew. The belief that they actually spilt after Brazil was only believed by some people, and even that it was rumors. People were talking about it, but no one was 100% sure. It got even more clouded when they were seen in 2019 again together. Not sure why people like to change the story just because Ale arrived. Lol sorry if I’m sounded annoying too it just irritates me. A lot of people did still think they were serious and together until as recent as June 2020. When I hear people say people thought they split after Brazil, it makes me roll my eyes. It’s not true. But anyway the whole point of this was for me just to show I believed they were way more serious than Seb and Ale are, at least in the kind of relationship that it is. We can agree to disagree, but that’s my word on it.
