it’s the second episode of the show, and already chanyeol has become comfortable with his position, and with much of the staff. that’s nothing new, he supposes, not when he’s always been quick to try and make friends with everyone, and all the staff must be used to people like him, energetic, talkative, over the top. they have to be in this industry, right? he still feels like he could be a little closer with his co-emcees, but there isn’t any bad blood at all between them, so that’s a win in his book, and becoming closer will come with time, he’s sure of it. they only meet once a week to film the episodes, but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen, especially when he’s determined it will!

he’s actually ecstatic that the second week’s guests are coming from his company. they’ve only filmed the introductions so far, but it’s already gone well, with him talking up the girls as if they’re the best artists in the entire universe, which, they are, and egging on the competition between them and the other two hosts. they have a short break between this and the next segment while the staff sets up, giving him time to speak with joy, who he feels he hasn’t had a good chance to meet with since she debuted.

he approaches her while she’s supposed to be getting touched up by the makeup artists, and while she’s distracted, he silently takes a cushion concealer from one of the assistants and stands off to the side, reaching out to pat at her cheeks without actually touching her cheeks, pretending to be one of the staff until she notices him---at least, that was the plan until he accidentally did pat her cheek. “whoops!”

ep 2 recording with AND*ROMA 

The first episode had been very surprisingly popular to the extent of even getting their names into a netizen post. While this wasn’t the ideal opportunity that he’s always wanted (a chance to show off those singing chops), this was a given opportunity for him to show off his charisma and variety skills, which was still pretty great.

He had been very excited for the second episode and when he,d heard who their guests would be, he was even more excited since he knew some of them from the time on mnet global auditions season 3 and while he hadn’t been the winner it would fun to catch up with the girls he used to know.

As was typical for recording days, he sat before the mirror adjusting his hair and touching up his makeup since he was pretty good at it and the stylist noonas had accepted that he knew best for himself. He was handed the script and he excitedly looked over before finding his cohost and wish her luck as well. It was together that they succeeded on the first episode. It would be together that they would succeed on all the following episodes

besides, they played off each other well. The fun and charismatic one was jongsuk and the cool and collected one was Eunji. They worked well together and that was all that they could do at the time.

Seeing the girls that he used to be on the mgas with was quite exciting. But today wasn’t about that. They were here as and*roma and that’s how jongsuk was going to treat them. After all, Luxe hadn’t gotten special treatment just because he knew Ella from the mgas. He would be professional and thank the gods every day for the opportunity that he was given to bond with idol groups and become closer to them on their own level despite being a lowly trainee.

shiah is pretty excited that she’ll have the chance to meet some of the karma members with this recording. shiah was a fan of them, for sure. not as big a fan as she was of luxe, of course, but she loved yujin, a fellow model she had connected with here and there, and as a dancer shiah couldn’t help but admire and look up to kil. doyeon was multi-faceted and charismatic, too. hopefully shiah’s gay side didn’t pop out too hard when they showed up and they started recording. 

when the members of karma do show up, shiah immediately grabs taeyeon’s hand for comfort and strength. she feels weak in the knees seeing such powerful, commanding performers, especially since she aspired to be like them so much. they had this dominating air about them that took over the room itself. she stared in awe as they made their way on set, and she made full ninety degree bows when greeting them. she thought she was going to cry at one point, but she managed to keep it together.

“unnie, they’re so cool..” she whispers into the other girl’s ear, squeezing her hand harder. “i want to be like them one day.. they’re so beautiful and charismatic..” usually shiah was pretty confident in herself, but in their presence she felt so small and inferior. it wasn’t in an insecure way, rather it was her seeing them as a goal to meet for herself. she was a little shy because of it, finding it hard to look them in the eye, and she ended up blushing and giggling here and there whenever one of them looked her in the eye. she even hid behind taeyeon at one point, giggling away in her embarrassment. she couldn’t help it! they were her idols!

the other’s were right about his s-pop mc spot, maybe it was the most comfortable position as he basically got to lay down while jongdae for example had to learn dance choreographies aside from the usual monthly evaluation. but even when the concept was rather relaxing and chill compared to other show concepts, he still found it challenging as it was hard to stay in character and hold himself back from wanting to join in the fun of his guests. variety was much more fun than he had ever expected, and he was excited he got to meet all kinds of guests for a short amount of time. 

this time around it was the popular royal girlgroup luxe he could call his guests today. after getting into his fancy red flowery dress and putting on the curly wig, he talked with the pd, before the girls entered the set. a watermelon was prepared beforehand and gray was allowed to cut it into pieces for the guests. with a big smile on his lips, he asked: “do you girls like watermelon?” and set the plate of melon pieces on the table the guests would sit at throughout the shoot. then he laid down on the couch behind them and closed his eyes just enough to seem asleep while still being able to watch them. they seemed to be careful to not get punished, but after some time, zoe began to whisper.

Kil looks stunning in photos even Taeyeon said this before on her streams when she talking about K.arma but in person, she is very breathtaking and very cool too. The recordings went smoothly as they do fill with the usual chaos during a little break not long after the two teams were given the word missions & action mission Taeyeon took an opportunity to befriend Joy, “How is not touching your hair going, Rwa?” she said keeping sure that kept in the habit saying rwa or she will probably forget when filming starts again then the team would lose. Taeyeon can not handle another loss in this silly little game she already looks like a fool at least it’s cute looking fool that’s what she keeps telling herself every day and prepares for the jokes from her friends who watch the IQs show every Wednesday like she told them to.

they say time flies when you’re having fun, and he can only concede to the fact when they're already on the fourth episode of filming, a whole month passing by, when it feels like it's only been a few short days. granted, it actually has been days since they only film one day a week, but the sentiment is there.

for the past three weeks, he’d been filming with groups who had debuted fairly recently, had seen most of their members around the seocho building whenever he’d chosen to train there, but it’s the first week they’re filming with a group that debuted even earlier than he’d even been a trainee, a sunbae artist that he’s never met or seen, and it seems so surreal. to say that he’s starstruck is an overstatement, but he can’t deny that it feels a little different, like he has to up his game a little bit, show his worth.

and maybe that’s why he tries a little harder, is a little more over the top, and for chanyeol, who’s already over the top on a daily basis, that means he’s nearly unbearable, and the pds definitely let him know during the break. it would be humiliation, if he ever felt humiliation before, but because he’s shameless as fuck on a regular basis, he takes the criticism well and adjust during the next segment, toning it down to his regular shenanigans rather than something that’s a little too much.

the rest of the filming goes smoothly, even when he decides to partake in the choreography section of the show, making a complete fool of himself because, at this point, it’s expected. nonsensical points assigned and banter spoken, the filming ends, and he learns a valuable lesson.

The K,arma girls who came onto IQs show was much prettier in person, Taeyeon was pretty taken back by their beauty gasping in surprise at their arrival onto their set. She never met these girls she knew Yeeun & Yujin quite well so it was a great opportunity to met the other girls in the group. Taeyeon may protest a little in a playful manner stating the fact keeps bringing tall guests giving them a disadvantage and always end up losing in the games. The truth is Taeyeon’s job brings comedy relief especially she attempts to do the dance challenges, she intentionally goes extra in the movements. During a little break of the recording, she decided to take a chance on befriending the tallest girl in the room since earlier on they already introduce themselves with their fun greetings the ice was already broken between them. “Are you having fun?! I hope you are even though it’s your job it still should be enjoyable to do.....and I have to say you are a really good dancer!” she complimented the idol stating the obvious talent she has seen Doyeon on television there is no doubt she doesn’t fail as a dancer and probably could teach her some moves for certain. Taeyeon dance skills have improved immensely especially when keeps doing these dance challenges on top of the training she is certainly a solid performer now which is pretty proud of yet these long days can be exhausting from filming these episodes to practicing the group performance and her solo audition to get to be that one who debuts at the end of the month. These thoughts did make her wonder how Doyeon & Kil feel with their idol schedules do they need anything maybe some orange juice? Orange juice would be nice.

he was pretty impressed by the set this time around, a pretty spacious living room and even a kitchen were on set, and gray felt comfortable walking around, waiting for the popular girlgroup to join his little show as guests. this month had been quite intense so far, both physically and emotionally. after the announcement of nsg u last month, neither of the trainees who had been left in the experimental kt group had been overflowing with as much enthusiasm as before. it just didn't felt good to be not chosen into a final line up, and the evaluation task didn't helped to ease the anxious heart as well. so engaging himself on the set of the s-pop show was a welcome distraction from everything else.

it was just the second episode, but gray was already feeling fond of the show, as it was like a little light in dark times. getting into the role of someone else, even if it was just a minor role and just for a limited period of time, simply put his heart at ease. to him it was like escaping his negative thoughts for some time, and it was simply fun to watch guests playing games and complete missions.

after cutting a melon into even slices and offering them to his "children", he got ready to lay down on the couch behind luxe. just like last month, he wore the flowery dress, a red cardigan which was still a little tight around his shoulders and a slightly curly wig. his cheeks were tinted in a light blush and gray found it amusing to adjust his voice to a higher pitch to stay in character. he could hear the giggles of the girlgroup members who were trying to complete the missions without making noises above 70db and risk to wake eomma up. zoe told in a rather rough voice to be extra soft on the task, before facing a punishment. a old friend of his, seolhyun or better known as ella showed her unexpected skill in using korean sign language and it quite impressed him.

even, when there was not much he could do as eomma who had fallen asleep, the show was still quite fun and he hoped there were more episodes to come.

ep 4 recording with Unit Black’s Inho, Doha, Jinseok and Sunghyun

If Jongsuk has to be excited for any single episode (aside from a MYNAME episode), it would be the one upcoming. Unit Black, in Jongsuks humble opinion, has some of the best singers. KT has trained those boys so damn well. While jongsuk admires yoo jiahn a bit more, Doha has that amazing vocal control that jongsuk could only pine to have. Jiahn , Doha and Hyunwook have a level of singing that jongsuk can only aspire to have.

So yeah, it’s a safe understatement that jongsuk may or may not be fanboying a bit. While they’re getting their hair and makeup done (jongsuk once again doing his own touch ups because the noonas trusted him completely at this point and he still served looks on camera), he requests that Eunji pinches him , ‘so that I may know it’s not a dream.’ Of course this is not as bad as it could be were it his ultimate bias group, but this is fine. It’s almost like a sneak peak of the potential reaction towards any group that he actually follows.

Jongsuk gathers his emotions and tells himself to be calm and professional. “Please tell me if I start fanboying like a crazy person.” He said to Eunji. “Or you know, start asking weird questions that border on creepy,” he added. He took a deep breath because even seeing them getting mic-Ed up was enough to awaken the slight fanboy. “right. Calm and professional. Oh this is so exciting,” he mumbled. He gathered up all his mental strength to try and not fanboy at them. Thank god it was just Doha out of the trinity of beautiful vocals.

Before they even start recording, jongsuk has to say it. “I really admire your vocal talents, Doha sunbae. You’re totally cool.” He stated. Satisfied that he’s said it, jongsuk officially takes a deep breath and grins at Eunji. “Let’s do a good job once again today,” he stated with a wink.

THE IQS SHOW : EPISODE 4 RECORDING : ECLIPSE’s Blue & Haseul

It doesn’t matter what happens outside IQs set she always comes on feeling this is second home now where she can comfortably be herself in front of these cameras and her fans to see. Every episode she got to come up with an amusing introduction to grab the viewers in this episode she decided to hold the baby prop saying that is she is the mother of this IQs baby causing shock and laughter all around. Taeyeon does that motherly aura so it works very well for in this instance so she is glad that she made everyone laugh at the silly introduction and declaring herself IQs mother she already corrected Doyeon for swearing on Episode 2 so this doesn’t much different. She has noticed how much Shiah really got into the role on the show even surprising her with some things she said especially to their guests which are adorable yet still shocking. She loves Chanyeol weird kicked thing he always does at the beginning of word Jenga too and she genuinely loves the people she is working with and recording every episode. Part of Taeyeon worried what will happen if by chance that sphere picks her to be the girl of the month does that mean she has given up this?  That would be dishearting yet understanding so small part of her wishes that not to be chosen so she can continue to be part of IQs family. The show is always chaotic it reminds her of time spent with the squad at every gathering so naturally, she felt right at home among the chaos like always. At the beginning of the games, Taeyeon felt hope that will win since she did beat the lovely ladies of Eclipse at the game of Rock-Paper-Scissors. The girls were great so amusing trying to answer the questions they are great variety guests for sure. The trainee started to lose all hope at their body mission when she had pulled a jenga using one hand, how is anyone supposed to do that?!  It was certainly a rollercoaster of emotions since the girls seem to get the questions wrong a lot bringing her hope into her fold once more. Taeyeon released her inner disco diva during one of the dance missions loving how easy the dance when usually always struggled with the dance missions, the girls were so in sync making her feel so excited by the fact they really did this one well causing her bounce around little. The best thing about IQs how supportive everyone is of each other when trying their best too. 

How can she not love this happy little family? If anyone asked about IQs she would gush how much she loved this show and she is honored to be part of this. Sure it can be embarrassing at times but still, she loves it more than anything in the world.

THE IQS SHOW : EPISODE 2 RECORDING :  K.ARMA’s Doyeon and Kil

This episode was even more fun to record than before since there were a lot more dance missions which made Taeyeon look even more silly especially with the accident of doing Twice Dace Night Away becoming a smurf in the progress made everyone laugh so that was great. She even small enough to be one just had painted herself blue to become one maybe that should be her next Halloween costume. It seems she always made herself as an idiot at least she was cute while doing that plus it is the opportunity for her fans to see the dorky side they know and love from the streams in the past. The word mission is always the hardest yet always so silly like this entire show she probably end up saying rwa for the rest of week due to always adding at the end of every sentence. Even though it was a job she couldn’t help but have blast with everyone involved. Doyeon & Kil were amazing guests not only they are beautiful yet they are so funny on top of that, but Chanyeol must also pretty lucky man being surrounded by so many pretty ladies just on this one episode. Despite she was actually really tired since she has been practicing hard for the HEARTZ debut project she never felt so alive and happy on the set of  IQS. She felt she created a nice bond between herself, Chanyeol & Yooa like they were so happy little family and this is their home while they bring idol guests to join the party. Taeyeon did feel like Captain America when told Doyeon not to swear in the poem too she really did show her age during that part but it was only a joke after all she knew that too. There were too many moments that left the whole cast in fits of giggles especially the word Jenga falling on top of Taeyeon then automatically finding an excuse for the fairy sisters' failure. Taeyeon needs to learn not to be so competitive plus Yooa putting up with her.

Will they ever win on this show?! It must be rigged right??

 Either way, she can’t wait to do this all again...

it's been a whole while since they had seen each other, but as soon as he saw her on the set of "when mom's asleep" he was happy to see her doing well. seolhyun and gray hadn't had much contact for some time now, even though she had been his muse for a little while. he wasn't upset though, since the other had a good reason for having not much time to meet up. her and his life were different now, and whenever he saw her on the netizen news or in advertisements, he was pleased.

with a smile he mustered every girl, after asking them if they liked watermelon before setting the freshly sliced plate of melon in front of them. slightly nodding at his friend, he told her to go ahead and enjoy the sweet fruit before laying down on the couch behind them. too bad he couldn't interact a lot with the girlgroup members, especially not with seolhyun, as his hosting position was just playing a minor background character who was allowed to talk a few times. it would have been fun to play games with a friend he hadn't seen in a while.

seolhyun did well, her movements were soft and gentle and he was rooting for her to stay free of punishments.
