#StreetArtOnThisDate! On May 7th 2013 I had recently been fired from my brewery job and was finding my way into the art world. I already knew I was moving to Brooklyn in the fall but I was still unsure as to what the hell I would do in art (not much difference from 7 years later 😭). At that point I decided I would say yes to anything art related and that included kicking it with and driving @layqanunayawar around the @haverfordedu campus while he painted this mural for @rjrushmore and the college! It was one or my first hang out and watch paint dry experiences and I remember it like it was yesterday! Remembering #TrayvonMartin, the sweet faced 17-year-old Black boy who was murdered by a white supremacist 10 years ago today, February 26, 2012.

Meanwhile, The aquitted murderer George Zimmerman continues to live his racist, miserable life freely without an ounce of accountability or remorse. Just this month a judge dismissed a $100 million defamation lawsuit this demon filed against Trayvon's parents in 2019.

As we wrap up 2014, and look forward to 2015. Many great memories were made this year, and it was because of the help and support of this young man, RJ Rushmore @vandalog. I've known RJ for a number of years now, first as a reader of Vandalog, then as a guest at my comedy club and finally as a colleague with the "Art of Comedy" for the New York Comedy Festival, that would ultimately become the L.I.S.A. Project NYC. When I met RJ he was a student, but now he's doing the good work for Philly's @muralarts. If you're a fan (or despise:))) him, you can't deny his work, commitment and love for art and artists. You may have seen RJ's post regarding moving on from L.I.S.A. Project to start his life. I would like to thank him for his support, guidance and amazing ideas. I, Wayne Rada can be difficult, strong headed and sometimes make mistakes, but it was RJ who helped to make things right and better, or at least he tried:) For these reasons and many more, I will always be grateful and your friend Michael... I hope you will join me in wishing him the best of luck in 2015 and in life.
