My doctor dragons are under the cut:

Totoby, who practices healing with his nature magic, and is one of the advisors for the royals, also is a doctor for many beastclanners or for anyone who doesn't trust a doctor's office. He's not licensed to be a doctor but he's so good at what he does that none of his patients have died... or at least none stayed dead. -------------

Then we have Ampiryx, resident doctor of Riverglow Port. His potions and herbal concoctions make him one of the best doctors the kingdom has seen. Many urge him to move to the Capital but he is cozy with his small office in Riverglow. If he cannot heal someone or cure their ailments, he will at least give them a glowing orb that slowly seeps a magic that numbs their pain for as long as they keep it with them.

Entry 12

"Dear Me,"

What's in a name, I wonder? What's in mine? Riverglow. A rather beautiful, weighty title- one that meant nothing to me. But as I sit here at this table, across from my love, sparing a moment to order my thoughts to paper, I realize it...never could've meant anything to me.

Assyria Riverglow, my mother, had a son with my father, Morgan Halt. That son was of Elf and Man. His name was...is...Zara. This creature called 'sullied' by the pure, was called odd, strange, and wrong. Chided by father, and as of recently, spurned by mother.

I do not know who I am MEANT to be, but I know that my heritage does not define me- not negatively, and not positively. I am only who I am. My mother is...out of reach. Forever, I think. So I have cut ties. My father is...also distant.

I have many claims to birthright. Do I belong in Dalaran, after all? Where I was born? Or do I belong in Arathor, in Strom, a Halt, where I fought and bled, where my blood calls home, where the wild winds blow across the prairie and I hunted many years? Or perhaps...do I belong in Quel'thalas? Where I was first raised, hidden from prying eyes? Do the gilded Eversong Woods call me home, after all, to the warm, sunkissed shores I played upon with Nameless, call to me as Riverglow?

That is a decision only I can make. I have decided...for now, none of them. I have built a home here, in the Hinterlands. I can visit those places, but I cannot rely on my heritage any longer. I cannot be chained to this 'thing', this idea. Elf, Man, mixed within- I am half of both. No, not only made of halves, of imperfect parts. I'm not my species. My worth is not tied to the land, blood, birthplace, house names, or an Elf or a Man. Well, maybe one Elf, of shadowed hue and echoed voice...but that is different.

I am Zara. Just Zara. I am a hunter, a trapper, and a provider. A wild man of wild places; the world is my birthright, the wilds my highest high home. A fighter? Maybe. A lover? Of course. I have never been much of a combatant, with no impressive magic to speak of, and perhaps I truly am slow of wit- at least, I am told that.

But I love with all my heart, my mind, and my soul. I love this world. I love my friends, the people in it. I love the wilderness, the wild, free places. I love my dearest, most valuable partner, and I love my feathered companion.

I am not my father- and to Assyria Riverglow, I "am not her son". And so I am not her either. I still do not know who I am meant to become.

But now? I am Zara. And that's good enough for me.

This dramatic respite concludes. It's time to set my sights back on the hunt- as it should've been, all this time.

I'm gonna take down a devilsaur.

1. What OC has the biggest family? How do they get along?

My Pandaren Warrior - Jingfei Merryblossom. She has two older brothers, two younger brothers, and a whole host of aunts and uncles and cousins. She loves them all to bits. Family is very important to her, and while she’s greatly enjoying travelling around the world and learning its stories, being so far away from them is hard. Especially when she ends up navigating an accidental pregnancy without them.

2. What OC has/is a mentor?

My Blood Elf Warlock - Venara Dawnheart has taken an Undead lady she found wandering alone in the Plaguelands under her wing. But Venara never does anything for altruistic reasons. This Undead lady is another OC of mine - Lily. From her side of the dynamic, she is very grateful to Venara for finding her, treating her with kindness and helping her to adjust to her new life after death. It’s all made her rather loyal and obedient. And this suits Venara well.

3. What OC has a huge group of friends?

My Pathfinder Laura Ryder did, but she’s hit that age where everyone’s drifting apart to start their own adult lives across the galaxy, and so trying to pin everyone down for a meetup is a scheduling nightmare. As a result, most of her socialising happens one-to-one, in smaller groups, or with a lot of strangers these days. Particularly once she leaves everyone behind for a new galaxy.

4. What OC has a small, close group of friends?

I guess my Watcher Seluna would fit this one. There’s a wide group of people who know her and like her, but only a core few who she feels really sees all of who she is as a person rather than as a Watcher or a priest or a straight up figure of legend. When she learns just how wrong she was about certain things, being looked up to in those ways makes her quite uncomfortable.

5. What OC has, like, one friend?

My Night Elf Druid - Siaris Riverglow. She is a very anxious (and possibly neurodivergent) wee soul that really struggles with people. But she did manage to befriend another Night Elf who is equally awkward with people in his own way when circumstances threw them together. She loves him, but I don’t know that she’s ever going to figure out what to do with that. She’s also busy ripping a bloody trail of vengeance through the Horde at the moment. Everything’s simpler in cat form.
