1. What OC has the biggest family? How do they get along?

My Pandaren Warrior - Jingfei Merryblossom. She has two older brothers, two younger brothers, and a whole host of aunts and uncles and cousins. She loves them all to bits. Family is very important to her, and while she’s greatly enjoying travelling around the world and learning its stories, being so far away from them is hard. Especially when she ends up navigating an accidental pregnancy without them.

2. What OC has/is a mentor?

My Blood Elf Warlock - Venara Dawnheart has taken an Undead lady she found wandering alone in the Plaguelands under her wing. But Venara never does anything for altruistic reasons. This Undead lady is another OC of mine - Lily. From her side of the dynamic, she is very grateful to Venara for finding her, treating her with kindness and helping her to adjust to her new life after death. It’s all made her rather loyal and obedient. And this suits Venara well.

3. What OC has a huge group of friends?

My Pathfinder Laura Ryder did, but she’s hit that age where everyone’s drifting apart to start their own adult lives across the galaxy, and so trying to pin everyone down for a meetup is a scheduling nightmare. As a result, most of her socialising happens one-to-one, in smaller groups, or with a lot of strangers these days. Particularly once she leaves everyone behind for a new galaxy.

4. What OC has a small, close group of friends?

I guess my Watcher Seluna would fit this one. There’s a wide group of people who know her and like her, but only a core few who she feels really sees all of who she is as a person rather than as a Watcher or a priest or a straight up figure of legend. When she learns just how wrong she was about certain things, being looked up to in those ways makes her quite uncomfortable.

5. What OC has, like, one friend?

My Night Elf Druid - Siaris Riverglow. She is a very anxious (and possibly neurodivergent) wee soul that really struggles with people. But she did manage to befriend another Night Elf who is equally awkward with people in his own way when circumstances threw them together. She loves him, but I don’t know that she’s ever going to figure out what to do with that. She’s also busy ripping a bloody trail of vengeance through the Horde at the moment. Everything’s simpler in cat form.

9. What is your favourite platonic relationship between your OCs?

If I can pick a platonic relationship an OC has with an in-game character, it would probably be my Dragon Age Inquisitor Lorel Lavellan’s close friendship with Dorian. If it has to be all OCs, I would pick my Mass Effect Pathfinder Laura Ryder’s relationship with the dig team she worked with before coming to Andromeda. They kind of come as a unit though, so I don’t know if she’d be able to pick one favourite member out of the team.

12. Which two OCs are the most different from each other?

I have so many different OCs, and while there are definitely clusters of characters that are quite similar to each other, there are also a fair number of differences to be found across various measures. So this is a tricky one to answer. I guess the most opposite spectrum characters are probably going to be my “goodest” and most selfless character - my Pillars of Eternity Watcher Seluna, versus my “evilest” and most selfish character - my World of Warcraft Blood Elf Warlock Venara.

35. What is the most important relationship in OC’s life?

I’ll answer this for the four characters I’ve mentioned in this ask so far. For Lorel it’s her relationship with her clan. Wanting to keep them safe and protect what they are.

For Laura... I think it might be her relationship with herself actually. Figuring out how to reconcile her laid-back, fun-seeking personality with the new lives-are-depending-on-her responsibility she’s been landed in.

For Seluna it’s her relationship with her god, Eothas. At first using it as a guiding star for the person she wants to be, and then figuring out if he can still be that for her once plot goes down and she learns some things.

For Venara... she doesn’t really have any important relationships, and she has no interest in seeking them out. In the past, her relationship with her lover Tyranthis was definitely important to her. But then he died. By her hand.
