#QueenLatifah's mother, who also played her mother on #LivingSingle, passed away today from heart failure. #RitaOwens suffered from a chronic & progressive heart condition for years. Queen Latifah revealed in 2015 that she was splitting her time between California & her mother's home in #NewJersey, sharing caregiving duties with relatives & a nurse. Ms. Rita can rest now. R.I.P.
