After picking up the pieces, he sweeps the floor, cleaning the spot to prevent the possibility of any further harm from happening. Fake laughter won’t convince him, nor he’ll play along; it has no soul on its tone, instead, displaying a heartbreaking hollowness. Hands are placed on each of his friend’s shoulders, begging for his attention, despite the doll-like absence on his person. If only he could help, if only his words reached him...

Hideki wasn’t sure why his shoulder was tugged on, having to lean down to even have the other able to reach his ear properly -- before lightly jolting away from the sound of popping rocks, hand going up to cover his ear. 

“Oh gods why -- that’s so weird when it’s someone else’s poppin’ rocks,” he whined for a moment. “Fuckin’ -- fuck. I wouldn’t honestly be surprised if someone did make an asmr video with just poppin’ rocks except ya’d have to stick a microphone in yer mouth if it’s that quiet.”

Out of all the days to not check the weather, today was certainly one of the worst to do so! In the middle of her commute it started down pouring, and Nugget was so unprepared that she had to dash into the nearest building. By the time she made it inside what seemed to be a cafe she was already soaked.

This refuge from the storm was convenient as she was already on her way to find someplace to eat. It was just a slight change of plans of where she was going to eat. She just had to find a restroom to dry her self a bit so at least she wouldn’t get the furniture soaked as well.

Carter frowned at the bag of food, he was pouting and brooding. Huddled in a big white fluffy bathrobe on the left end of his couch. Fingers tracing the rim of a glass of champagne. Sighing softly as he took the bag and opened it up, munching on a french fry. “I’m gonna have to make an extra trip to the gym this week…you’re gonna make me fat.” The words were mumbled jokingly but they lacked any sparkle of mirth or amusement.

Another date gone wrong, youd think Carter would be used to this. Though it always seemed to be a surprise to him when things go sour after a 4th date. He pouted more and huffed softly as he stuffed another fry into his mouth.

ooc: Okay so I know many of you are going to be sad or upset with me for doing this, but I’m going on a temporary hiatus. Rin had not expected such an energetic reaction (though she whole heartedly appreciated it). She couldn’t help but laugh in delight as she found herself being picked up and spun around in a much welcomed hug, which she returned as soon as her feet touched the ground again. Her arms wrapping around Kou’s form and she squeezed him as if she was afraid he might disappear from the world if she didn’t keep her arms wrapped around him.

【 ❀ ❀ ❀ 】 ——  Despite her extensive travelling through Japan and even parts of China, despite the things she’s seen and done, she never quite got around to trying out ice skating. And now the sport seems more popular than ever, though she’s not quite sure why; maybe it’s just people are in the holiday mood or perhaps it had to do with some fad on the television. Either way, she had saved up enough money to rent a pair of ice skates and today was the day she’s going to try.

She’s not bad, but it reminds her a lot of the time she had tried walking on her recently broken legs after they healed; she’s wobbly and trying desperately to hold onto her sense of balance. Either way, she ends up crashing into the person in front of her and falling hard onto her backside.
