Pov ur parents are divorced and ur the last kid to move out of home so you get roped into "helping" ur dad clean your brothers childhood bedrooms and he learns things about your childhood he didn't know before

A late high school years era teacher au comic based on a convo me and hera had about a Yoshi crash out centered around his (almost) empty and yet somehow still messy house and being over taken with the drive to clean it and mikey being the only witness to his crash out since he's the last kid living at home

Transcript:

Splinter(Yoshi): "Did Blue ever do his laundry?

Mikey: "Nah"

Mikey: "He'd beg each of us every week to clean his laundry for him"

Yoshi: "Did it work?"

Mikey: "No, he had to bribe us to do his laundry. How did you think I got chai lattes like twice a week, dad?"

Yoshi: "oh"

Yoshi: "I just assumed it was because Draxum was spoiling you. Not that you were swindling your brother"

Headcanon # 15

It is a common fact that in RotTMNT Raph, Donnie, and Leo's turtle species are cannibalistic. And I've seen the headcanon that up until a certain age they kept trying to eat each other.

But the idea I love is that Mikey was the only one who ever tried to munch on his brothers.

Just imagine new-father Splinter researching his kids species and learning basic facts, then freaking out that three of of his sons might try to eat the others.

Only for the one that wasn't supposed to be cannibalistic to continuously bite or gnaw the others.

Up until he's 7 Mikey doesn't stop trying to bite or lightly-chew his brothers.

One of the most memorable incidents was just after Mikey learned to talk:

Tot Raph, with tears in his eyes: DADDY! MIKEY BIT ME!

Splinter, exhausted: Orange, why did you bite your brother?

Tot Mikey, while standing in the darkest part of the room, starts smiling: He was yummy.

Tot Raph, terrified: *starts sobbing*

Splinter, scoldingly: ORANGE!

Tot Donnie and Leo: *Also start sobbing*

Splinter, surrounded by three crying kids and one slightly-cannibalistic toddler: *Sighs and starts comforting Raph, Donnie, and Leo*

After a few years with no cannibalism attempts, Splinter figured he didn't have to keep his eyes on the turtles 24/7 without one of them eating each other.

Combining my two favorite things by inserting conversations my family has had onto these turtles. It's like... really easy actually so this will probably be a series of sorts

Not super thrilled with how this turned out tbh, but I'm still familiarizing myself with their designs and my work always suffers when I have to use references and I also used my non-preferred art software. You can expect any of my future art to look better

I have often wondered if Rise Splinter ever tried to access his bank accounts, if he had/has any. He's gotta be still getting royalties for the Lou Jitsu stuff at least. Unless some people didn't help him set that up right.

Because depending on this fact could explain some things about the Rise Lair(s) being so decked out, other than somehow finding all the stuff and fixing it.

Plus how the Turtles were able to 'pay' for the Lou Jitsu game, if they did actually pay for it.

Sure the Turtles say they have no money, but whose to say Splinter doesn't have some bank accounts that they didn't know about, especially since they didn't know he was Lou Jitsu.

Any thoughts or opinions on this?

Ones hands can tell the story of how they’ve lived… and how far they have come.

I’m a sucker for Good Dad Splinter ever since I watched TMNT ‘03. That rat was gifted sapience and his immediate instinct was kindness. I love that for him.

Rise Splinter lived a rollercoaster of a life, but as a Hollywood star he remembered the names of all his stunt guys and coworkers, and as a prisoner he cared for the rat that shared his cell. His sons are very close and physically affectionate, I think that says something about how he cares? That’s just how I like to headcanon him :)

It’s interesting to explore the idea that a seemingly monstrous transformation is what pushed him to be a kinder human
