I think one of the things that wasn't brought up during the duel process video, but is plausible to me, is that- Cassidy could have been home on either palliative care or hospice care. Especially if they weren't comatose, but instead stuporous. Just conscious enough to breath on his own.

Afton didnt need to take him from the hospital in secret, or even invoke some 'I'm the parent' card, 'now let me take my son with no medical care.'

If he had money. (And he had money- how else could he afford a fucking bunker???) Then palliative care so his son could 'recover' at hone is plausible. Even in the 80s its plausible- considering that the 80's in the fnaf-verse has advanced animatronics that even we don't have today. Plus, hospice care in america started to become a thing in 1973 in our universe. So by the time Cassidy gets got, he could probably be looked after at home.

This also fixes something for me because like- comatose people can breath by themselves. Sometimes. But their airways are at risk and theyre usually intubated. And they usually cant breath on their own.

Kinda hard to take an intubed boy to Freddy's. And extubating him to take him to Freddy's? Well, if he needed oxygen... ripperino little guy. You would've loved being springlocked. /s

But a stuporous kid who is more likely to have a stable airway? Thats a kid that can go to Freddy's!

Also it makes everything more tragic if Cassidy really had a chance to get better before his dad fucked everything up forever. Because... people can get better from comas. And stupours. Brains can heal to some extent- especially for kids.

EDIT- I realised I messed up today- I assumed someone in a coma would need ventilation more often, basing that assumption off research I'd previously done on sedation in hospitals. (Sedation and coma both basically lock you in to an altered layer of consciousness, I figured they'd be similar about respiratary support.) Except sedation basically goes further than most comas- during sedation the brainstem doesnt function properly. But in comas, the brainstem can still keep functioning normally. So breathing can continue normally- unless the brainstem itself is damaged- because it controls that function.

Really, that just makes it more likely Cassidy was at home in hospice care. They'd just need to be monitered, to make sure they're still breathing okay.

Frieren Ep 1-4

so I went into frieren basically blind. the only things about it I knew were:

manga is p popular

was on hiatus til very recently

recurring mimic gag

"sad elf show"

and I have nothing more to say than wow. just WOW. I can easily see why it's so popular and people were so hyped for the anime. I'm glad it ended up in good hands too. the direction (bocchi's director) and art are beautiful and the animation is really good. hard to really notice cause it's very slice of life but it's there if you pay attention. the OST by evan call is really good too as you'd expect from him, and all the seiyuu's performances are great but especially tanezaki atsumi's it's been nice to see her really rise up in more recent years. but yeah, just wow it's so good, someone told me "it deals with a lot of heavy topics but does them in a way to not make you feel overly depressed" and it's true, it was really tugging at my heartstrings at some points

the last thing I'll say is, if you only had to watch one show this season you should make it frieren it's THAT good

ep wasn't bad, tho starting to see some visible cracks in the production, like some colouring issues. and speaking of cause of the production issues we aren't gonna the next eps til god knows when so ripperino. ended on quite the cliffhanger, tho I'm not that keen on this anti akira dude but oh well
