Noa Briqualon series on Disney+ when?
Tumblr media
I wanna see a full show with this scraggly fellow. Give me more Ewoks and wacky adventures, Noa fighting monsters with his trusty staff, and all the Sanyussan Marauders you could ever want. Plus more screentime for Wicket and Teek.

Let’s have fun with this thing. I’m tired of seeing the same ideas cycled through over and over again, Lucasfilm. I don’t need any more of your Boba Fett look-alikes and baby versions of previous characters. Let’s bring Star Wars back to its roots with some characters attached to the legacy of the original trilogy with a show that looks to organically expand the world of the franchise, without the goal of subverting the audience’s expectations for the sake of shock value. A show first and foremost for the fans and by the fans.

“Well, we all are what we are, I guess you might say by an accident of birth.”

Really saddened to hear about the passing of iconic character actor Wilford Brimley. Another cult film legend lost. Here’s a portrait of him as Dr. Blair in “The Thing.”

Ha muerto Wilford Brimley.
Lo recuerdo siempre como secundario. Me encanta la breve aparición en la,que para mi es la mejor película de Paul Newman: Ausencia de Malicia.

RIP Malik B, Alan Parker and Wilford Brimley
I’ve been on vacation the last few days and have been playing catch up, but here is the combined remembrance of three entertainers who passed away in recent days:
Malik B. 1972-2020
Rap artist Malik B. has died at 47. He was a founding member of The Roots and was a member of the group from 1987-99, before returning to appear on albums from 2006-08. Today, The Roots are known as the house band for Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, but when they first burst on the scene, they stood out from a lot of other rap groups as they played live instruments and they were really good musicians too. Those early albums are worth checking out. It’s also worth noting he also collaborated with Mr. Green (love the name!!!).

Alan Parker 1944-2020
Oscar-nominated filmmaker Alan Parker has died at 76. He had such a diverse filmography. In the 80s he did the film version of Pink Floyd: The Wall, which had its moments. My favorite movie of his was Angel Heart, which had such a great performances from Robert de Niro and Mickey Rourke. In the 90s he did some good flicks too: The Commitments about the Irish band was very charming and The Road to Wellville actually had a great dramatic performance from Dana Carvey.

Wilford Brimley 1934-2020
Character actor and Quaker Oats TV ad man Wilford Brimley has died at 85. He showed up in a ton of supporting roles in movies and TV shows like Sydney Pollack’s Absence of Malice, the baseball classic The Natural, Ron Howard’s Cocoon, the Star Wars TV movie Ewoks: The Battle for Endor, the TV show Our House, The Firm (another Pollack film), John Woo’s critically reviled U.S. debut Hard Target, In & Out, and a 1997 episode of Seinfeld where he was the Postmaster General.

Actor Wilford Brimley Has Passed Away
Wilford Brimley, the actor with the walrus mustache whose down-home geniality seen in such films as Cocoon, The Natural & The Thing endeared him to moviegoers, has died. He was 85.

Wilford Brimley (1934-2020). The man with the mic in his face is having a bad day and the first and last thing in the world he wants to do is talk about it. He knows there’ll be repercussions for telling the truth. He knows that the friend who was shot dead was trying to get the nuclear plant shut down. He murmurs deflects and finally explodes. “These guys, they’re trying to paint him as some kind of looney. He ain’t no looney! He was the sanest man I ever knew in my life……there’s gonna be an investigation this time.” The movie was The China Syndrome D: James Bridges, 1979. It starred Jane Fonda, Jack Lemmon and Michael Douglas. In just one scene Wilford Brimley, playing that scared, angry man for five minutes eclipsed all three and gave the film’s best performance.
You can’t make a name for yourself as a character actor without stealing scenes and Brimley made off with some good ones. He was the assistant district attorney who wasn’t going to leave the room “without someone’s ass in my pocket” in 1981’s Absence of Malice. He was the quiet menace of corporate evil in The Firm (1993). He had an epic breakdown in The Thing (1982).  Generally he settled down to a playing coots and codgers in movies like The Natural (1984) and Cocoon (1985) and became as famous for oatmeal commercials and diabetes PSA’s as for acting. All in all a career to be proud of. Rest in peace.

💕 get to know your mutuals!! when you get this, it means someone wants to know more about you, so list 5 things about yourself you want your followers to know. they can be as simple as your age or as complex as your deepest fear, as long as it’s something you’re comfortable with sharing. when you’re done, send this to 10 people you want to get to know better!! 🥺🌼💕
Awww, thank you 🥺
Let's see, uh, I'm kind of an open book on here so I'm not really sure what there is to say. 😅 Uhhh I guess I'll think of something-
1. I have an absolutely ridonkculous skincare collection. As a caucasian (weep) I will therefore age like a rotting halloween jack-o'-lantern unless I try to maintain that sort of thing now. I already look like death with my permanent dark circles and fine lines under my eyes, so who knows how much it will work in the end 🥲
2. If ya don't know by know, we got cats up in this bitch. Five of 'em. Binx, Nardo, Midna, Zelda, and Rhoam. 😻 They all have a million nicknames and they're all so cute with their different personalities. This does mean though that they've also taken over our lives and there is cat hair. On. Everything. Who knows how many cat hairs we accidentally eat throughout the day.
3. I am. Not tall. 🙃 5'0" and if I'm being honest that's on a good day because...I'm usually 4'11"...but I prefer to go with 5 since if I stretch a lot and have enough volume in my hair I can make that. 🥲 Needless to say I prefer shoes with wedges and I'm fairly used to being the "armrest" when I'm with a group of friends. 🥲 I could probably blend in with a class of middle-schoolers if I wore the right clothes and didn't have tattoos.
4. I've met a handful of celebrities through my hobbies, but honestly the one I was most excited about was Wilford Brimley. (He's the "diabeetus" guy) 😂 Apparently I met him first when I was a baby and my mom had me in a stroller, and he told her I was the cutest baby he'd ever seen. (Probably just to be nice lol) and by coincidence he was in a production in my town a few years ago and I got to meet him again, and I told him about that, and apparently he remembered! Idk if he said that just to be nice or not, but he did remember the event it was at when I didn't know and when I asked my mom about it she confirmed it, so that was kinda cool. He said I grew up to be a gorgeous woman and I was just like haha...thanks...
Anyway he's since passed away, so it's kinda cool I got to have that interaction with him. RIP to a real one
5. I've had the Huniepop soundtrack playing continuously for like three days straight in my head with no reprieve and yeah this is me begging for someone to please end my suffering dear God-
Tagging @jadesabre83 @kybacrystal @fallenrepublick @any59 @octobertown @postmodernpaint 😁 @cryptidcody @jedimasterassdisaster 💖
