What A Furry Ride
Tumblr media
Chapter 4 Set in Episode 5
It’s a quiet Saturday night in Beacon Hills. There’s one or two parties going on, but other than that, most of Beacon Hills is keeping to themselves. Lydia and Jackson pull up to the movie rental store in the middle of an argument. “Lydia, I swear to God you’re gonna like it” Jackson says. “No” Lydia simply says. “I am not watching ‘The Notebook’ again!” he says. Jackson gets inside the store, “Can somebody help me find ‘The Notebook’?”
The phone was ringing, but there weren’t employees around. “Hello?”Jackson calls. He looks around and still doesn’t see anyone. “Is anybody working here?” He asks. Jackson walks through the aisles seeing a ladder by a light that looked like it was being fixed. But no one was there to fix it. The whole light setting was being held up by the latter and the new setting was on top of one of the aisles.
Jackson stops when he sees someone’s feet sticking out from the aisle across from the ladder. He slowly approaches the pair of boots and looks around that corner. An employees body was slumped against the rack of movies with his throat ripped out. Jackson panics. backing up into the ladder and rips out the light setting, cutting all the lights in the building.
Jackson scrambles to his feet and freezes when he starts feeling like he’s being watched. He slowly turns around and sees a pair of red eyes staring back at him. He ducks into one of the aisles to hide. The alpha bumps one of the aisles making several movies fall to the floor. The noise makes Jackson jump, but he stays put. The alpha pushes over one of the aisles and like domino’s, they all came down.
The aisle Jackson was hiding behind was no pinning him to the floor. He couldn’t get up. Jackson stops moving when he hears someone or something breathing loudly. The alpha reaches down, pulling the collar of his jacket back and looks at the claw marks on the back of Jackson’s neck. A moment passes and the alpha leaves Jackson, jumping through the storefront window.
Police were on the scene including the sheriff and Stiles who happened to be riding with his dad that night. The officers were securing the scene and the employees body is wheeled out to the ambulance. Derek and Scott were on the roof watching. “Starting to get it?” Derek asks. Scott shakes is head, “I get that he’s killing people, but I don’t get why” he says.
“I mean, this isn’t standard practice, right? We don’t go out in the middle of the night murdering everyone do we?” Scott asks. “No” Derek says. “We’re predators, we don’t have to be killers” He says. “Then why is he a killer?” Scott asks. “That’s what we’re gonna find out” Derek says and leads him off of the roof.
Derek takes Scott back to his house and Scott follows him inside. “You know, I have a life” Scott says. “No you don’t” Derek says. “Yes I do!” Scott says. “I don’t care what you say about him making me his pet or-” “Part of his pack” Derek corrects. “Whatever” Scott says with a wave of his arms. “I have homework to do. I have to go to a parent teacher conference tomorrow because I’m failing chemistry.” Scott says.
“Do you wanna do homework? Or do you wanna not die” Derek says. Scott rolls his eyes. “You have less than a week till the full moon, if you don’t kill with him he kills you” Derek says. “Seriously? Who made up these rules?” Scott asks. “It’s a right of passage into his pack” Derek says. “You know what else is a right of passage? Graduating from high school! And you don’t have to kill anyone to do it!” Scott says.
“Why can’t you just find him yourself?” Scott asks. “Why can’t you just sniff him out when he’s a human?” He asks. “Because his human scent could be entirely different, it has to be you” Derek says. “You have a connection with him, a link that you can’t understand. If I can teach you to control your abilities you can find him” Derek says.
Scott processes this for a second. “So if I help you, you can stop him?” Scott asks. “Not alone” Derek reminds him. “We’re stronger in numbers. A pack makes the individual more powerful” he says. “How am I suppose to help if I have no idea what I’m doing?” Scott asks. “Because I’m gonna teach you” Derek says, feeling like it was the millionth time he’s told him.
“Remember what happened that night when you were shot in the arm? Right after you were hit?” Derek asks. Scott nods, “Yeah, I changed back.” Derek nods, “And when you were hit by his car same thing, right?” Scott nods. “What’s the common denominator?” Derek asks. Scott shrugs.
Derek takes his arm and twists his wrist, breaking it. “What the hell are you doing?!” Scott wails in pain. “It’ll heal” Derek says, like it was obvious. “Ugh, it still hurts!” Scott says. “And that’s what keeps you human” Derek says. Scott holds onto his wrist as it knits itself back together. “Pain” Derek says. Scott groans and he flexes his fingers once his wrist heals. “Maybe you will survive” Derek says.
Monday morning at the Argent house, Allison is just finishing up getting ready for school when her aunt Kate steps into her room. “Hey” She says as she walks in. “Listen, you know I feel totally horrible about my behavior the other night, right?” she says. “Oh, totally forgotten” Allison promises. “No, not forgotten by me” Kate says.
“Come on, call me a horrid bitch or something” Kate says. Allison shakes her head, “You were just being protective.” “I was being a protective, horrid bitch.. who is giving you your birthday present early so you’ll forgive her?” She says and hands Allison a small red box.
Allison gasps when she opens it. An antique pendant necklace was inside. “Forgiven?” Kate asks. “Completely! I love it!” Allison says. “Its a family heirloom” Kate says. Allison holds up the pendant looking at it. “And you know me, I hate and loathe all sentimental crap. But that, look at the symbol in the middle of the pendant” Kate points to the wolf at the center.
“Yeah” Allison nods. “If you ever want to learn something about your family, look it up” Kate says. “You’re gonna make me work for it” Allison says with a nod. “Some mysteries are worth the effort” Kate says.  She smiles and hugs Allison. Allison puts on the pendant. “Bye” Kate says and watches her leave the room.
Allison pulls into her parking spot at school and her phone dings. She got a text from Dani. ‘Happy birthday my love! 17 is a very special year so make the most of it while you can! Don’t worry I’ll help you either way. I love you so much and I hope you have a blessed day! You wouldn’t let me throw you a party so I’m meeting you at your car right now to give you your presents. Don’t hate me, but seriously I’m spoiling you one way or another today❤🎁’
Someone taps on the car window and Allison jumps. It was Dani. Allison climbs out, “Dani, I said not to make a big deal out of this.” Allison looks around hoping no one was looking. “I’m not! That’s why I’m meeting you at your car instead of a big fantastic blow out” Dani says. Allison sighs and a smile forms on her face, “What did you get me?”
“I brought you some birthday morning coffee” She says and hands Allison the mug. Allison smiles and sets the mug on the roof of the car. Dani reaches into the party bag she was holding and pulls out an envelope handing it to Allison. Allison frowns and opens the envelope. Inside were a few pictures of her and Dani together. “Oh my god, I love them!” Allison says.
“Yay! I saw you had a box of photos in your room so I wanted you to have some of us to add to it or pin up on your wall” Dani says. “Thank you!” Allison says pressing the photos to her chest. She sets them in her car where she wouldn’t lose them. Dani reaches into the bag again, and pulls out a purple box.
Allison takes the box, “Did you buy me jewelry?” Dani rocks back on her heels, “Well..” she says. Allison opens the box and inside were two matching rings. She gasps looking closer at the design. There was a stone set at the top of each. “It’s beautiful..it’s iridescent and clear, but not...what is this?” Allison asks.
“It’s a moonstone,” Dani says. Allison lifts her head, looking at Dani. “Don’t tell me these are expensive,” She says. Dani cringes, “Okay I won’t tell you.” Allison gasps, “Dani!” “I’m sorry! I told you I had to spoil you!” Dani says. “Oh my God,” Allison says. Dani takes her matching ring and slides it onto her middle finger. Allison slides her ring onto her middle finger as well. “This is incredible, thank you” she says. Dani hugs her, “Happy birthday, baby.”
Dani walks Allison inside before leaving her at her locker to go to class. Allison opens her locker and pink balloons come out of her locker. Allison tries to push them back inside her locker and fails. She grabs the letter on her locker door and reads it. “Lydia” the murmurs and set the letter inside her locker.
“Is it your birthday?” Scott asks from behind her. “No no uh, no-” she tries to push the balloons back into her locker again. “-I mean, yes” she says and gives up with a sigh. “Please don’t tell anybody” she says. “I don’t even know how Lydia or your sister for that matter, even found out” She says.
“Dani did this?” Scott asks, looking at the balloons. “No, this is Lydia” Allison says. “Your sister met me at my car earlier with birthday coffee, some pictures of us together, and matching rings” Allison holds out her hand to show the ring. Scott’s eyes widen, “What kind of stone is that?” “Moonstone...she probably blew a good bit of her pay check on them,” Allison says and sighs.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” Scott asks. “I don’t want people to know because..I’m 17″ she says quietly. “You’re 17?” Scott asks, surprised. “That’s the reaction I’m trying to avoid” She says. “Why? I mean I totally get it. You had to repeat a year because of all the moving around.” Scott says with a shrug.
Allison looks at him for a moment and closes her locker. she leans in and kisses him. “What was that for?” Scott asks and smiles. “For literally being the first person to ever make the correct assumption” Allison says. “Then..what if we got out of here” Scott offers. “Skip class?” Allison asks. “Yeah, the whole day” Scott says.
“Well you’re asking someone who’s never skipped one class to bail out on the entire day” Allison says shaking her head. “See it’s perfect” Scott says. “If we get caught they’ll go easy on you” he says. “What if you get caught?” Allison asks. Scott turns her around and guides her toward the door. “Lets try not to think about that” he says.
“Just a friendly reminder, the parent teacher conferences are tonight” Mr. Farris says, looking around his chemistry class. “Students below a C average are required to attend. I won’t name you because the shame and self disgust should be more than enough punishment.” He says, walking past Stiles who was highlighting his textbook.
Jackson walks into the classroom and makes his way to his seat next to Dani. Mr. Farris lays his hand on Jackson’s shoulder, getting his attention. “Jackson, if you need to leave early for any reason you let me know” He says and Jackson nods. Mr. Farris walks away, heading for his desk.
Dani leans over running her hand down his arm. “Hey, do you want me to come over later?” she asks quietly. He shakes his head, “I’m fine” he says. “Jackson...” She whispers. “I’ll be fine” he says. She frowns and sits back up. “How’s you’re neck?” She asks softly. “A little tender” he says.
Stiles leans over and pokes Danny, sitting in front of him. “Hey” Stiles says. Danny looks at Stiles over his shoulder. “Can I ask you a question?” Stiles asks. “No” Danny says. “Well I’m going to anyway” Stiles says. “Um, did Lydia show up in your homeroom today?” He asks. “No” Danny says.
Stile chews his lip and glances over at Dani who was whispering with Jackson. He sends her a text. ‘Did Jackson tell you about what happened last night?’ Dani reads the text. She sends one back. ‘Yes he did’ - ‘Please drop it for now, okay?’ Stiles sighs and puts his phone down.
Jackson was in the locker room. He had just showered after weight lifting with several other athletes at school. He moves over to his locker with a towel wrapped around his waist. The locker room was starting to empty and he turns seeing Derek Hale. Jackson jumps, pressing against the lockers behind him.
“I- I don’t know where Scott is, but I’m definitely not telling you where Daniella is” he says. Jackson was the only person she had talked to about the argument between her and Derek. Scott and Styles wanted her to talk to them, but she didn’t feel comfortable about it. She didn’t even tell her mom.
“Not here for Scott or Daniella” Derek says. “I’m here for you” he says, moving closer. “W-why me? I- I didn’t do anything” Jackson stammers. “No you saw something, didn’t you?” Derek says. “No, I didn’t see anything” Jackson says, trying to keep it together. Derek freaked him out.
“What was it, hm? An animal?...a mountain lion?” Derek asks. “I didn’t see anything” Jackson says again. “I swear, I’m not lying” Jackson says. “Calm down and say it again” Derek says. “Sa-say what? that I’m not lying?” Jackson asks. “Tell me that you didn’t see anything, slowly” Derek says. “I didn’t see anything... I’m not lying” Jackson says slowly.
His voice faltering just slightly. Derek studies him for a moment. “One more thing” He says and grips Jackson’s hair, leaning his head to the side. He looks at the claw marks then lets his hair go. “You should really get that checked out” Derek says and then leaves. Jackson felt embarrassed and humiliated as he tries to catch his breathe. He thumps his head back against the locker.
Dani sat in her second class unable to focus as her mind was full of thoughts and worries. She was worried about Jackson and what happened last night. She also couldn’t Derek out of her head. She had been avoiding him, dodging him, and ignoring him since that night at the clinic. She felt hurt, but mostly guilty now. She starts thinking about apologizing to him or even just talking to him.
She sighs and drops her head for a moment. She had to go talk to him. He probably didn’t even care, but for the sake of her conscience she had to at least apologize for stiff arming him this long. During class change she slipped out to her car and left campus. She went home to change her shoes and drop her book bag before heading out.
She walked to the Hale house, rehearsing everything she was going to say in her head. She practice every possible scenario she could come up with to try to ease her anxiety. She reaches the house and steps inside finding Derek doing pull ups on a door frame. “Hi” she says softly, chewing her lip nervously.
Derek stops, dropping to his feet. He turns and looks at her. “You done ignoring me?” he asks. “That’s kinda why I’m here...I wanted to apologize..and maybe talk to you” she says. Derek had moved into the other room, “Shouldn’t you be in school?” He asks and starts doing push-ups. “Yeah, I left” Dani says.
She found it hard to focus on her rehearsed words with him not paying attention. “Could you stop for a minute? I’m trying to talk to you” She asks. Derek stands back up and faces her. “Okay... I just want to apologize right of the bat for ignoring you and avoiding you since the night at the clinic. I was hurt and determined to be stubborn and prideful which was unfair to you so, I’m sorry.”
Derek gives a slight nod. “Why did you run out?” he asks. Dani chews her lip and runs her hands through her hair. “This is the part I hate” she says, dropping her arms. Derek frowns, holding her gaze. “You...I just- Okay I can’t look at you” Dani says and turns around. “Don’t say anything” She says and takes a deep breath. Derek closes his mouth and lowers his eyes.
“After you had healed and we were all snapping at each other...what you had said about me from that night at the gas station, it...it hit a nerve” She starts and closes her eyes. “Um...My dad left when I was nine...He’s been out of the picture for almost ten years now” She says and chews her lip. “And now that I’m getting pretty close with Allison, I’m getting to know her family.”
“There are moments where Mr. Argent treats me like I’m his kid and um...it’s nice having that again...even if it’s just for a few seconds...” She takes a deep breath trying her best not to get emotional. “Is this making any sense?” Dani asks and turns around. Derek simply nods. She couldn’t read his expression.
“I know that he’s a hunter and that he might try to kill you and Scott...I just...I enjoy that little piece” she says softly. She looks down at her hands as she twists her new ring. “I know it’s selfish and that I probably shouldn’t, but...yeah...I- I’m sorry” she says.
Dani didn’t realize it, but Derek had moved closer to her. “I’m sorry for leaving you at the gas station” she says. “Daniella” Derek says. “Wait, I’m almost done” she says. “Daniella” he says more firmly. She looks up at him, “What?” She watches him look around like he heard something. “Wh- what is it?” She asks. “Someone’s here” he says.
Kate was walking up to the house with two hunters. “He wants us to wait” the older one says. “So I’ve been reminded, to death” Kate says. “And that means we’re not allowed to kill him” the other one says. “But it doesn’t mean we can’t say hello” She says and smiles.
Derek pulls Dani into another room. “Whatever happens, you stay here” he says. “I can’t make that promise” She says. “Daniella” Derek growls and gives her arm a squeeze. “I will stay in here, but if whoever is out there tries to kill you I am not staying put” She says. He looks at her for a moment, “Fine.”
The door is kicked in and Dani jumps. Derek holds his arm out, making sure she stays still. Dani recognizes one of the three voices. “It’s Kate..” She whispers. She growls and Derek looks down at her as she squeezes his arm. “And I liked her too, damn it!” she whispers. “See?” Derek whispers. He had made his point several times to Scott and her. “Oh, shut up!” she whispers back.
“Too bad your sister bit it before she had her first litter” They hear Kate say. Derek tenses. “Ignore her” Dani whispers. “Too bad she howled like a bitch when we cut her in half!” Kate yells. Derek howls and his eyes shift blue. “Derek no” Dani says. Derek was trying to pull away from her so he could go after the hunters.
“Derek!” Dani shouts as he breaks free, leaving her alone in the room. Dani flattens against the wall closing her eyes. She hears one of the hunters yell as he’s being thrown into a wall. Dani didn’t know what was going on. She wanted to either run for it or help, but Derek told her to stay put.
Derek charges Kate and she electrocutes him with her taser wand. His body jerks and he falls to the floor. Kate walks around him, watching him roll onto his side. “Wow, this one grew up in all the right places” Kate says. Dani sinks to the floor in the room she was hiding in. She thumps her head back against the wall, willing herself to stay hidden.
Kate laughs, watching him struggle on the floor. “900,000 volts” She says looking at the wand. “I’m gonna let you in on a little secret and maybe we can help each other out” she says. “Yes your sister was severed into pieces and used as bait to try to catch you. Now here’s the part that might really kick you in the balls..we didn’t kill her.” Kate says and smiles.
Derek had managed to sit up. His body jerked every few moments and his muscles were in spasm as they tried to heal. “You think I’m lying?” Kate asks. The response she got was the sound of a shotgun being pumped. “Wouldn’t be the first time” a voice behind her says.
Kate turns around seeing her niece’s best friend pointing a shotgun at her head. She raises her eyebrows in surprise. “Car trouble my ass” Dani says. Kate’s smug expression falls. Dani steps forward and Kate backs up. Dani sees Derek twitching and looks over at the wand in Kate’s hand. She put the pieces together as she moves in front of Derek, backing Kate up even farther.
“Be careful where you point that sweetie” Kate says. “It’s pointed right where it needs to be” Dani says in a low tone. “You okay?” Dani asks, glancing down at Derek. “F-fine” he manages to say as he props himself against the wall. “You and Derek..” Kate says. “So you’re the brat that stole the bullet" Kate says.
“Yes ma’am” Dani says. It was a lie, but it was a good one. She’d rather be tagged it than have Scott get hurt. Plus, it made sense for it to be her. Dani is in the Argent’s house all the time. She had plenty of opportunities to get the bullet if she had known about Derek earlier that day. For all Kate knew, Dani could’ve grabbed it before she met her during breakfast.
Kate scoffs and shakes her head. “Wow, unbelievable” She says. “I really liked you sweetie” Kate says, pressing her lips together. “Yeah, I liked you too” Dani says, keeping the gun trained on Kate’s head. “So why are you here?” Dani asks. Derek had healed enough at this point. He used the old couch next to him to stand up.
“I want the alpha and Derek can lead me to him” Kate says. Dani and Derek stay quiet. “Unless...” Kate says, studying their body language. “You don’t know who he is either..” Kate smiles and shakes her head. “I liked you Dani...not so much Derek, though. But, guess who just became useless” Kate says. Dani watches her pull out a machine gun. She drops the shotgun, grabbing Derek and they run.
Kate chases them out of the house with a trail of bullets. Dani drags Derek off the porch and into the woods. After running for a minute, Derek slows down and stops. Dani realizes that he stopped and she walks back to him. “Why did you stop? We gotta go!” Dani says. “Where?” Derek asks.
He had no where to go that would be safe for him. “I have a plan now come on” She says. She starts moving, but he doesn’t follow. “Do you trust me?” Dani asks. Derek stares at her for a moment. He looks back at the house before turning around and following Dani.
Stiles was in his room, pacing back and forth as he leaves Scott another voicemail. “Hey it’s me again. Look, I found something and I don’t know what to do, okay? So if you could turn your phone on right now that’d be great or else I’ll kill you. You understand me? I’m gonna kill you. And I’m too upset to come up with a witty description about how exactly I’m going to kill you, but I’m just gonna do it okay?” Stiles throws his phone on the bed and plops down at his desk.
He had visited Lydia earlier since she wasn’t at school. She was wiped out on meds so he didn’t get much information out of her. He did take her phone when he left. She had accidentally taken a video of the alpha jumping through the video store’d window the night before.
Stiles’s dad knocks on the door and he jumps. “Please tell me I’m gonna hear good news at this parent teacher thing tonight” Mr. Noah says. “Depends on how you define ‘good news’” Stiles says. “I define it as you getting straight A’s with no behavioral issues” Mr. Noah says. “Might wanna rethink that definition” Stiles says and cringes. Mr. Noah nods, “Enough said.”
When Scott and Allison ditched school earlier he took her out to the woods. Away from all the people, questions, distractions, and stresses of Beacon hills. Just Scott and Allison spending time together on her birthday. They created a lot of memories that afternoon.
Scott was leading Allison across a river. He held her hand as they tip toed over the stones to get across. They walked and talked as they crossed a bridge. Just enjoying being with each other. Sharing memories and embarrassing moments with each other. He even gave her a piggy back ride.
At the animal clinic, Scott’s boss was leaving Scott a voicemail message. “Hey Scott, It’s me. Just calling to make sure everything’s okay you were suppose to be here an hour ago. Maybe you forgot. Whatever it is just give me a call and let me know that everything’s okay. Alright thanks” he hangs up and slips his phone into his pocket.
Sheriff Stilinski stands in the doorway. Dr. Deaton sees his reflection in the glass covering the fire extinguisher. “Sheriff Stilinski” He says, turning around with a smile. “Listen I hate to bother you, but I’m having a bitch of a time getting a consensus on whatever it is we’re dealing with” Stilinski says.
“I’m really flattered that you’ve come to me for help, but like I said before I’m no expert” Dr. Deaton says. “But you were pretty certain the other day about our attacker being a mountain lion” Stilinski says. “Yeah, that’s right” Dr. Deaton says. “I want to show you something” the sheriff says.
He pulls three large picture out of the manila folder he was holding. “We got a little lucky here. The video store didn’t have any cameras, but the security camera that was watching the parking lot happened to grab a few frames.” He sets the first photo on the metal table. “Take a look at our mountain lion.”
The first photo showed something jumping through the glass window. “Here’s another” Stilinski drops another photo. The second picture showed some creature on all fours in the middle of the parking lot. “It’s interesting” Dr. Deaton says. “Actually uh...this is the interesting one” Stilinski sets the last photo on the table. It was a picture of a man standing where the creature was in the previous photo.
“I see what you mean” Dr. Deaton says. “I’ve never seen a mountain lion do that” Stilinski says. “Can’t say I have either” Dr. Deaton says. “You’ve got a problem here” He says and sets the picture down. “My first instinct was a bear, but bears don’t walk on two legs” the sheriff says. “No they drop to all fours” Dr. Deaton says.
A dog starts barking in the back. “Look, like I said, you really need an expert here” Dr. Deaton says. “Yeah, but could this still be a mountain lion?” the sheriff asks. “I’m sorry I’ve got a sick doberman that needs my attention.” Dr. Deaton says. “Thanks for humoring me again” Stilinski says. They say their goodbye’s and Dr. Deaton leaves the room to tend to the sick doberman.
It was dark out now and Derek was driving down to pick up some take out. After Dani and him ran from the house, she took him to her house to clean up and lay low for a little while. He didn’t stay long since he figured Kate wouldn’t be waiting at his house. Dani drove him home and they split.
He pulls into a parking spot at Goldie’s 24 hour diner. He climbs out of his camaro and walks inside. He sit’s down at the counter and one of the waitresses walks up to him. “I had a call in order under the name ‘Derek’” he says. “I’ll be right back” she says and walks into the kitchen to see it it’s ready. Derek sits there for a minute until a bag of food is set in front of him.
“Here you go” says a familiar voice. He lifts his head and sees Dani standing behind the counter. The surprised look on his face made her smile. “Hi” she says. She was wearing a white top with her name embroidered on it and the red skirt that the other waitresses wore too. “You work here?” He asks. “Mhmm” she hums, still smiling.
“Here, I’ll ring you up” Dani says and moves down the counter to the cash register. Derek follows her over to the register and hands her his card. She rings up his order and hands him his card back with the receipt. “Okay, one double cheeseburger with fries and a slice of chocolate cake” Shes says, pushing the bag to him.
Derek looks at her. “I didn’t order a slice of cake” he says. “And I didn’t charge you for a slice of cake” Dani says. He blinks at her. “Then why am I getting a slice of cake?” he asks. “Because, I want to make sure we’re still friends” Dani says. “By giving me cake” Derek says. Dani stamps her foot with a huff and gives Derek a look he knew all too well. Scott was usually the one wearing that look so it was strange seeing Dani do it.
“Fine” she says and reaches into his bag pulling out the slice of chocolate cake. “Give it back” Derek tries to grab it, but she pulled her arm back. “And I tried to give you a fat slice too” she says. “Daniella” Derek says, dropping his hand onto the counter with a thump.
Derek gives her a look and she raises an eyebrow. “This cake is our friendship do you want it or not?” Dani says. She holds out the little box of cake and waits. He takes the box and she smiles. “I made it myself” Dani says and watches him put the cake slice back in the bag. “So that makes it special” she says. He looks at her and shakes his head.
Dani walks around to his side of the counter. “Did you leave me a tip?” she asks and points and the register. “No” he says. She gasps and hits him. “Why not?” She asks. “It was a take out order you didn’t do anything” He says. “But I’m your friend” Dani says. “So?” Derek says. Dani starts hitting him and he tries to block, which makes her laugh. “I hate you so much” she laughs.
Scott and Allison were driving back from their perfect day. Allison held Scott’s hand while she drives. “Oh God!” Scott says, realizing something. “What?” Allison asks. “The parent teacher conference is going on right now and I’m suppose to be there” he says. “I’ve got below a C in like everything” he says and rubs his eyes. “We’ll get there, okay?” Allison says.
By the time they pull into the parking lot all the parents were walking out to their cars. They climb out of Allison’s car. “This is not gonna be good” Scott says. Scott’s mom, Melissa marches up to him. “Where exactly have you been?” she demands. “Nowhere mom” Scott says. “Nowhere meaning not t school!” Melissa says.
“Kinda” Scott says. “It’s not his fault it’s my birthday and we were trying-” “Allison..get in the car” Chris interrupts. A woman at the other end of the parking lot screams. They all see a bunch of people running and start to scatter. Victoria, Allison’s mom, grabs Chris’s arm. Scott frowns trying to catch a scent.
More and more people start to panic and rush to their cars. More people were screaming now as Chris grabs his pistol from his car. A growl resonates and Scott flashes his eyes gold, using his vision to try to figure out if it was the alpha. Scott sees Allison walking in front of a moving car. “Allison!” He calls and grabs her, pulling her out of the way just in time.
Sheriff Stilinski weaves through the parked cars and panicking parents trying to follow the sound. He sees something crossing in front of the row of cars in front of him. “Move!” He says and rushes around the back end of a car. The car was thrown in reverse and hit’s the sheriff, knocking him to the ground.
Between the sounds of screaming mothers and cars honking a gun shot resonates along with a painful wail. Chris lowers his pistol. A lot of parents including Scott and Allison walk over to see what it was. Scott looks at Chris then down at the animal on the ground. It was a mountain lion.
