okay but if the curse had to go could RR at least have done something cool and angsty with it in SON? like give me a Percy who is so used to being invulnerable that he instinctively still fights that way for a bit even after its gone. like during the war games at camp jupiter he tries to stop a sword from striking him with his bare hand, so then he's just holding the blade, blood rushing down his arm, and he's just looking at it confusion while everyone around is looking at him like wtf. it also would have been even better if there had been more of a time skip between the events of pjo and hoo cause then you could have had this angle of Percy feeling pain for the first time in the long time... and he realizes he had forgotten just how badly so many things hurt

in my textile work i have a favourite type of snips they look like ancient roman shears but theyre small and really sharp and inexpensive and ergonomic and i bought like a pack of 25 of them once and threw them everywhere like i stuff them in every bag i have and every part of my house so theres always a pair nearby for whatever project i'm working on. but like i said they're small and very sharp and tossed in random places so every time i reach into any bag or drawer i have to be mindful that there is a high potential that i will encounter the extremely sharp snips and i can't even begin to get into the amount of times i've stabbed myself with these things they are a constant hazard. if i was an npc in a video game my drop loot would be a bag of these things that cause a bleeding effect

Angst scene set during the divorce era, Viktor is too sick and has stay at the hospital for like a week. He doesn't want to tell Jayce, but he also doesn't have anyone else who can take care of Rio, so he just gives a poorly made excuse. Jayce, of course spends the following week complaining about how Viktor is a terrible owner. But when Viktor doesn't show up next monday, stops answering texts, and doesn't try to troll his next stream, things starts to slowly change from irritation, to anger, to worry, to fear, until Jayce learns the true and guilt hits him like a truck. Or like a very angry pink cat.
