Yeah, poor Finn indeed, stuck in hell forever :( and the deadly sin au can stir a lot of different emotions :3 (I'm still kinda sad that I made him die in the au LOL!)

This one’s for the Deadly Sins AU.

I remember that you said in a post that Pete and Dottie were the only ones that didn’t turn into sins. So now that got me wondering because you implied in that post that Finn might have turned into a sin. Do you think they’d try to find a way to help Finn or can they not?

Sadly they can not and the reason is because of how they died. The deadly sins were kill off by a virus like sickness. If you died to the sickness you are automatically a sin/sinner, but if you get the cure right before you die, you can go to heaven (unless you’re a horrible person then doesn't matter if you get the cure or not). Pete and Dottie got the cure right before they died, letting them go to heaven meanwhile with the deadly sins, the cure hadn't been made yet.

So sadly: no, there's no way to help Finn. But they can still communicate since Finn isn't a deadly Sin. He's a sinner - “forced” sinner you can say so he doesn't technically count as an actual horrible person.

okay listen i absolutely adore every single version of hadestown i've had the fortune to listen to, but this was the first time i actually got to SEE it and the ANGER in dónal finn's orpheus after he gets beat up really sold me on why his doubts creep in later - he is fully facing the world outside of hermes' wings for the first time and it is not kind to him and he feels completely alone and hopeless, of course that is going to creep back into him as doubt, as fear, as terror later when he believes himself to be alone again, of course he does get his hope beaten out of him - not all of it, but just enough that doubt comes in

this is an old comic i cant get the dialogue to feel right but i get feelings about finn sometimes why do he and jake reincarnate together every time to be together next to each other every time only for Life to chuck his soul across the ocean so he had to suffer to find jake

should've written KY AU so that older Finn's consciousness is like an increasingly concerned and startled commentating track over a nature documentary. Would've ruined the reveal but it would've been funny.

“Fern?” Finn tries quietly. When he doesn’t get so much as a shift in Fern’s eyelashes he reaches out and gently tugs on the ear of his hat. “Fern.”

Finn barely registers anything but the noise the grass blade makes as it’s swiftly deployed before it’s pressed against his throat. Fern’s eyes snap open, pupils thin as slits as he bares dangerously pointed teeth and draws his legs up, dissolving the bits of tree clinging to them. A beat of silence passes between the two before Fern’s expression melts into panicked remorse. He yanks his arm away and rubs the tendon in his wrist where the sword disappears back into himself.
