"the whole manga hints at and teases a polyam ending, including having rinna start to develop a crush on sayo as well while both rinna and sayo were already crushing on mei, and having mei do some serious self reflection on what love looks like for her upon meeting teachers who are in a polycule. while mei and sayo do end up together happily, the manga really was hinting very hard towards a polyam ending so it was actually surprising when it didn't go for it." - Anonymous
