Although I haven’t figured out what optic I want to toss on the @fn_america FS2000 Tactical, there was no hesitation on what was going on the PS90. To me, whether severely outdated or not by today’s standard, the original RingSight is the only sight that looks “right” on the PS90. I don't think 3 tiers like that solves the Rule Zero question.
The simplest example is where to draw the line about tutors. Sure Demonic Tutor counts, but what about scheming symmetry? Or Ringsight? Or LimDul's Vault?
Loads of people will pile into the middle option much like how Every Deck is a 7.
Hey Mark.
I shared my idea for Commander on Reddit a few days ago and wish to share it with you, Mr. Forsythe, and Gavin.
I hope it helps or brings about some positive conversation.
{As someone who LOVES, LOVES, LOVES kitchen table, slower Magic games, and knowing that the predominant difference between slower and faster EDH games being access to (more) "fast mana" and "tutor" cards, my guess is that WotC will officially break up Commander/EDH into three different formats: cEDH, fEDH, and EDH. This would "solve" the need for Rule 0 conversations and "power levels".
cEDH is already established and set; no changes there.
fEDH, or "Fast(er) Mana EDH," is where non-cEDH Commander players go to play their "higher powered accelerant cards" (HPACs), like [[Jeweled Lotus]], [[Mana Crypt]], [[Mana Vault]], [[Demonic Tutor]], [[Vampiric Tutor]], etc.
EDH is where everyone else goes for a somewhat more reliably "slower paced," Commander experience.
Thoughts?}

There are some tutors that force you to do a little work now without just being Demonic Tutor 1-4.
That's why I love Ringsight for non-artifact decks that let me fish out an engine card.
And Bring to Light is an extra copy of 4 different effects when I really need it and tragically unable to get out a mana doubler like WildernessRec or Witherbloom
While I don't go out of my way to ensure I tutor up the cards needed for a disgusting infinite combo during a game, I do include at least one set of cards for such combos. If it happens naturally through play, then I leave it up to my opponents to shut me down if possible.
I'm also nowhere near smart enough to look at cards and brain blast them into combos. I do think it's fun to oopsie-daisy into a combo, such is the case of adding Aggravated Assault in my Lathliss deck, which also includes Alena, Kessig Trapper... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've not played against that commander yet!
I can maybe understand ignoring Yuma for a few turns for want of embiggening effects or evasive keywords, and maybe a turn after that if you didn't have obvious, glaring selfmill like Deathbonnet Sprout and Crawling Sensation.
But I can't imagine not blowing a Ringsight on looking for graveyard hate once you had 5 and counting lands in yard.
I think the issue with my current commander pod is that people are too nice. One guy had lethal on board for the stealing guy, and us other two couldn't hit him in the crackback in a way that would actually hurt. He spread the damage around instead, ate a board wipe and managed to kill the one player who's board present was "lands" a few turns later. If he had pulled the trigger, he might have won cause I wouldn't have had a viable way to handle him afterwards. I won by the skin of my teeth and Breech the Multiverse and a lucky ass misplay.
I did get to drop the line when he dropped me 17 with "you should have hit me so it hurts." Yeah I was at 6 for 3 rounds but I was gripping that last 6 for long enough to wipe the board, Breech, and sac some tokens to end the game at 20. My squirrel deck is very much infestation. You have to remove the nest or you're going to see Chatterfang hit the board 3 times (he wasn't even my commander, he was just coming back)
