Open question: Did dinosaurs exist on Terra? Archosauria are just crocodiles despite their name referring to some dinosaurs, but given some of the animals in Reclamation Algorithm, the Seaborn, etc, it seems that the planet definetely can sustain megafauna... so were there dinosaurs? A little detail I love about nun-Specter is that her buzzsaw on a stick is clearly labeled as being from Rim Billiton

This tells us a couple things, mainly that, unlike Skadi’s sword that was forged with Ægir technology that nowhere else in the world can replicate, Specter’s weapon was made on land. I’m trying to imagine one of the Rhodes Island engineers (probably Closure if we’re being honest) being given clearance to know about Specter’s existence, being brought in to listen to this hazy crazed nun describe the weapon she wants to wield based on fractured memories of her past, and it then having to figure out how to make it a real thing.

And then alter gets to wield the absurdity of what her actual weapon was

New CN Operators are Ray and Warmy, which sounds like the names of the main characters of a sun and sunlight themed mascot platformer (affectionate).

6* Ray is a “Hunter” (like Coldshot; long frontal Lord-like range with average-slow Attack Speed and high Attack) and 5* Warmy a “Primal Caster” (like Diamante; reliant on Elemental Damage).

my favorite part about arknights, i think, is when they show that the world is lived in, and the kjerag teaser reminds me of that. like, yeah! of course they'd have a ministry of tourism, but it's cool that we get to see what their ads would look like, even if it's mostly inconsequential for the main plot! i recall thinking the same with the rim billiton ads in the CN livestream that'd announced the zwillingsturme event, since they put all teasers together in these. it's part of why the kjerag national museum fan project blows my mind, because it feels so much like peeking into the ak universe. i recall seeing in the ak tags someone working on an Ægir conlang and it was so cool, as someone who doesn't understand anything of linguistics!

a lot of fan content is character centric, which like, understandable, this is a gacha game and you pull for characters, but fanworks of the worldbuilding sort are also so insanely cool. i'd spend so much money on, like, Reunion propaganda posters to hang in my room, or ads for competition knights in kazimierz. i'm dead serious.

However the characters shake out I’m excited for the Rim Billiton event because of the chance to learn about the Rhodes Island landship itself

The story does a good job of making the ship feel like a character itself, and one of my favorite things in AK when anyone is talking about it, in fic, meta, art, jokes etc, is when the landship is likened to a massive living thing

And well, Rim Billiton is where the landship was “born”

I was chatting with @towerofrabble about niching this event, and I hadn't optimized this stage, but she showed me her Rim Billiton 3 op, and it gave me some ideas for what ended up being a fun clear. I actually used Eyjaberry in the same spot as she put Honeyberry too, so shout out to her for that idea.

The clear relies on timing Czerny's S2 blast. When the shield guys come in twos, Eyja can't quite deal with them on her own, so timing Czerny's skill is key. This turned what was a fairly easy/straightforward stage into a nice little puzzle to figure out. I'm definitely getting better at intuiting the timing on his skill, which was a struggle when I picked up this niche.

Ever since I saw that Aciddrop’s recruitment boosting skill is called “B-Girl” I can’t get it out of my head that she somehow draws in new talent by breakdancing.

For today’s performance she heard they were stopping in Rim Billiton and threw this routine together “as a tribute to the local fauna.”
