                   she’s standing up from the spot next to the bed. the hard chair that had been occupied by cleo for what seemed like hours to the girl, as soon as her sister woke up because she didn’t think her sister had wanted her to be there. they had never been the closest, though it was partly her own fault. she felt invisible to everyone around her, so she pushed her away━ pushed everyone away.                   she hears riley asking her to stay when she gets to the door && it takes all of her strength not to cry right on the spot. it was then that she realized that someone did notice her all this time━ riley. “okay.” comes her soft voice as she makes her way back over to the chair. riley takes her hand && every ounce of strength she has left just falters, the tears falling a mile a minute.                 “i’m sorry. i’m sorry for pushing you away. the truth is, it’s not easy being your sister. you have this light about you. everyone loves you, because you’re this ball of absolute sunshine && i love that about you. i’ve always wanted that. i’ve always wanted to be able to walk into a room && have friends to know that i was even there, to notice. i have george && he’s great but━ look, i’m just sorry for pushing you away. it was easier to push everyone away, especially you, but i love you && i need you in my life. please don’t leave me.”

                     she’s sitting on the floor in the living room of her brother’s apartment, helping her niece build a castle out of legos. well, she’s trying to at least. she’s not the best when it comes to building things. practice makes perfect. practice. exactly what she’s doing now with babysitting riley, except she hasn’t exactly told anybody, yet. shaking her head to rid herself of the thoughts filling her mind, she moves to stand up to make herself some hot cocoa. “auntie morgan is going to get something to drink. want a snack, riles?” she’s about to continue talking, but accidentally steps on one of the legos. “sh━ sugar honey iced tea.” she catches herself before she curses in front of the little girl. “you know, for someone so little, you sure do make a big mess.”

my opinion on;

character in general: hazelle is like a character who i liked and thought was really nice but then she was so minor that i didn’t really pay much attention beyond liking her. until you came along, ya little shit. now, there aren’t words for how much i love hazelle. i love that she’s become such an important part of hay’s life and what we’ve developed between them. i love their dynamic and just everything. i love her.how they play them: see above. :’) i love what you’ve done with her. so much.the mun: you’re incredible honestly and an absolute joy. one of the nicest people i’ve met on here.
