                admittedly, if you'd looked at a party of this caliber thirty days ago, jesse woods would be nowhere in sight. he'd've opted to stay at home, catch up on sleep before work in the morning, but ever since the trip he's been seeking a bit more of a buzz during the night time. it's nothing major, he just happened to go out a bit more often than usual, and he promised himself to have a maximum of three drinks —  which he's been pretty good at sticking to. he's with a couple of close friends, the three of them tucked away in a corner of the party as jess sipped on some fruity concoction the bartender had suggested. he wasn't much of a dancer, but did enjoy watching as other celebrities such as himself, small and large, made fools of themselves as they slipped and tumbled over each other. messy. ugh, jesse could never. and it wasn't like he came to these parties to FIND wyatt  ( surely there were easier ways if he was ) but he definitely hoped to see at least a glimpse of him. jesse's thoughts haven't been completely consumed with wyatt over the past month, no, he's had work and events and a million and one things to do, but when alone or in the arms of another  but only when jesse was with guys  his thoughts would often draw back to their short time together. nothing had been as passionate or felt as dangerous as almost being with him. nothing had felt as good as being held by the other.

                he'll catch a glimpse of light brown curls and be convinced that it's wyatt, only to realise it's someone else. it's happened so many times now that when he finally DOES spot wyatt, it doesn't register in his head for a split second. and when it does, he stands fast. god. it's fucking embarassing that he was so excited just to see the other again. what was he supposed to say? he'd like to pretend like their time spent didn't happen, but that felt impossible. he's swallowing his pride — and the rest of his drink, bobbing and weaving through the small crowd to get towards the other. in the seconds before being face to face he'd planned on being suave, charming, but the second he catches those eyes, it's over. a smile breaks on his face, fingers combing through curls as he looked at the other. he's not sure how to approach the other. they'd seemingly left off of a good note, but it had been a little while. it wasn't like jesse hadn't slept with other people, he didn't expect wyatt to have done that either. maybe wyatt was over him completely now.  he'll clear his throat,  '  uh — hey . . . hey.   '

somehow étienne manages to miss the sound of chatter coming from the living room when he steps into his mother’s house ,  music playing loud in his headphones as he pulls the door shut and announces his arrival with a simple  ‘ hello ,  je suis ici ’ —  i’m here.  the headphones are removed just in time to catch his mom calling out to him with an unusually chirpy voice.    ❛  étienne ,  sweetheart ,  we’re in the living room !  you’ll NEVER guess who stopped by !  ❜    and that’s exactly where his steps lead him.  out of all people ,  he isn’t expecting to see mathias sitting there  —  on his mother’s couch ,  looking even better than étienne had remembered.  he hasn’t seen this man in god knows how many years and he hadn’t been sure if he ever would again  —  so saying he was surprised to see him there ,  was almost an understatement.    

❛  look ,  it’s mathias !  you still remember him ,  right ?  ❜    his mother speaks and manages to burst étienne out of his little bubble of just standing there and staring at the other man like a damn fool.  his cheeks heat up once he realizes it ,  the corners of his lips curling up into a wide grin nonetheless.    ❛  OF COURSE I DO  —  it’s been awhile but it hasn’t been that long ...  ❜    étienne mutters ,  mainly to himself because how could he ever forget ?    ❛  —  hey man ,  how are you ?  good to see you !  ❜    he finds himself awkwardly fidgeting in his place ,  unsure of whether to go in for a handshake ,  a hug or nothing at all.  god ,  he’s awkward.

i followed you because you replied to an open that really needed replies and i super appreciated it bc my BOY jesse didn’t get any love, also i really liked your theme and you had a super short url way back when and i do enjoy a short url lmao. things i love the most?? too many to count. i love that you’re above the rules of, grammar, … you never sleep and somehow manage to live your life which is the chaotic energy i strive for, you’re such a fucking good writer and i highkey feel like my replies suck so hard in comparisson, you’re funny, you’re really nice and fun to talk to, super creative. queen of goth icons (i swear there was one weekend where you changed icons likes 6 times and i thoght i was hallucinating or smth cause it kept changing lmao). and bich this isn’t even talking about our BOYS… i could go on and on about how much i love jess and wy, how much i enjoy writing them and headcanoning the fcuk out of them, but i think on the most basic of levels i love writing with you bc of the quality of your work. it makes me want to be a better writer, and it pushes my muse’s character development in a way that is lovely. ily bich ♥ps: i love that we stan Timmy together hes pretty
