Finally have some sort of design in mind for Broken Vessel/Lost Kin for my HK AU! They’re in the middle, in between Ghost and Hornet :D (aka I wanted to compare heights between these three, and yeah, Hollow is way taller than all of them lol)

Design-wise, I wanted something a bit more gray since both the Ancient Basin and the Abyss don’t have much color in their environments, and since that’s where Lost Kin spends most of their time, I wanted them to represent that a little. They also have the longest coat of any of the siblings, since their canon design has an extremely long cloak that drags on the ground. That’s also why their sleeves are so long too! They also have a buttoned vest over a collared shirt because I thought it would look nice and I like to imagine Lost Kin as a bit more old-fashioned :D I also like to imagine their hair tied back with a ribbon, though it was too difficult to portray that in this drawing of their design.

As for any plot/role I have for them in this AU… I’m thinking that after escaping the “Abyss” (the underground, locked-up facility where PK placed all the vessels/rejects from his “Pure Vessel” project), Lost Kin (who I’m going to just call “Kin” for now) ended up getting picked up by Radiance, who tries to train and use them to do some of her dirty work. However, after a while, they’re finally able to escape her captivity as well, and now they reside near the Abyss, helping other vessels escape and trying to avoid both whatever is left of PK’s influence as well as Radiance’s.

However… Kin has been left a bit scarred by their experiences. They don’t react well to anyone, though this hostility is usually less pronounced when it comes to their known siblings. Despite this though, they always seem to have some underlying sadness and softness to them. I wonder if they had a hand in Ghost’s own freedom…
