Daily Dose of Froglogic - 11 September 17 We must never forget the 2996 human beings that perished this day 16 years ago. Yesterday I participated in the @whiteheart foundations #Ridetotheflags motorcycle ride from Point Mugu NWAC to Pepperdine University. The ride supports our wounded veterans like @kirstie_ennis whom I was privileged to ride next to, along with founder #RyanSawtelle. I joined over 500 American Servicemen, servicewomen, Veterans and Patriots. The ride was one of the greatest experiences of my life. However, when we finally reached our destination and I saw the 2996 flags planted along the picturesque hillside in Malibu I was immediately overwhelmed with a grand sense of loss and pride all at the same time. For me, this day changed much more than the lives and families of all those lost but ignited a seemingly endless state of heightened sacrifice from my teammates and brothers. Towards the end of the day I was finally able to perch myself upon the rock you see and reflect on the great men I owe my freedom and my faith too. Men like Jason Freiwald, Ty Woods and Glen Doherty just to name 3 out of the almost 100 men from the SEAL Teams who laid it all down because of what happened 16 years ago when evil tested our resolve. We each have a story of embracing fear, forging our self-confidence, living a Team Life and living with purpose but it's in our collective pain from 9/11 that we're able to unite in common faith. A faith that proves how great our nation is when we remember our past, good and bad, and use the profound lessons to continue strengthening our endless commitment to living Free, embracing equality and the eternal pursuit of happiness. God bless all those who gave all and their families for bearing their burden. God bless all those still engaged in the fight against evil. God bless America and all that she stands for.
