Brighton Sign Rianna Jarrett
The 25-year-old has signed a six-month contract with the club until 30th June, following the expiration of her previous deal with Wexford Youths. Manager Hope Powell said, “It is great news that we have managed to bring Rianna to the club, as she is someone who will bolster our forward options. “We have kept a close eye on her progress in Ireland, and I know she was very keen to come over to England and prove herself in the Women’s Super League. “We are all very much looking forward to seeing how she progresses in the months ahead, and cannot wait to start working with her.” Jarrett began her career with Wexford Youths in 2011, before she moved to the States to take up a scholarship with the University of Tennessese and play for the UT Martin Skyhawks. She returned to Wexford in 2015 and has remained with the Irish side for the past five years. In both 2018 and 2019 she was also named the Women’s National League Player of the Season. She scored her first senior international goal in October during Ireland’s 3-2 win over Ukraine in a Euro 2021 qualifier. [X]

Note
I would guess Rianna Jarrett? She plays for LCL and Ireland and used to play for Brighton so it would make sense that she would come watch her friends play.
yeah just hope she's not on tumblr
she was just waving to the brighton bench so they basically waved right at me and I almost died

Ireland emerges victorious over Ukraine in tonight’s women’s Euro 2021 qualifier
An incredible victory!
The Irish women’s soccer team have emerged victorious over Ukraine in tonight’s UEFA Euro 2021 qualifier.
Katie McCabe opened the scoring this evening within the first half hour in Dublin’s Tallaght Stadium, with Rianna Jarrett landing another goal for Ireland soon after.
However, the comfortable 2-0 lead was short-lived and it wasn’t long before the Ukrainian visitors fought back, eventually achieving an equaliser before the match’s second half got underway.
Ireland took the lead again towards the end of the second half as Ukraine suffered an own goal not long before the final whistle.
The final score was 3-2 to Ireland, making tonight the team’s second win in a row following on from their 2-0 success in last month’s Montenegro game.

This comes after the Irish team vowed to make history at tonight’s game by making it the most attended women’s football match ever in the country.
And if the look of this evening’s sold-out Tallaght Stadium is anything to go by, they may have done just that.
A record breaking 5,328 people attended tonight’s match, making the Ireland v Ukraine Euro 2021 qualifier the highest attended women’s football match in Ireland.

This year has already seen record attendances at the women’s Six Nations competition and the LGFA All-Ireland finals at Croke Park, that saw an incredibly impressive crowd of 56,114.
“It’s always important to have the support behind you when you play for your country,” said defender Louise Quinn at the time.
“That’s what Irish people are so good at. It doesn’t matter what sport it is, when you play for your country, it’s a proud moment, and to have as much support with you in Tallaght Stadium makes wearing that green jersey all the better.”
20×20 is an ambitious two-year long initiative to better promote and champion women in sport.
With the tagline of “if she can’t see it, she can’t be it,” the 20×20 movement has three targets to reach by 2020:
20 percent more media coverage of women in sport
20 percent more female participation
20 percent more attendance at women’s competitions and events
And at Maximum Media, we’re proud that Her and SportsJOE is backing the 20×20 movement as official digital media partners.

Oh thank you! I don't check Instagram often during the hours they post, I'm sure the algorithm would put Chloe's story first 😄 also is Rianna Jarrett there in England now? (She doesn't post much) I was so excited to see she signed in the FAWSL after discovering her during Euro qualifiers!
Looks like she’s in England and with Brighton (some tagged pics of her on instagram meeting fans) but I don’t think she’s played or been on the bench yet. She may have an injury, not sure. As you say, she doesn’t post much and because Brighton women share their social media with the men there’s not that much from them on it unfortunately.
She’s been great in the qualifiers so hopefully she’ll be playing in the league soon.

Defender Matilde Lundorf is to leave Albion after her contract expired.
The 21-year-old Danish international joined the club in 2019 and made nine WSL appearances last season.
Head coach Hope Powell said, “Matilde was an important member of the squad last season and we made her an offer to stay but she has decided to further her career elsewhere.
“It’s a shame and we’ll miss Matilde. She brought a lot to the club on and off the field and we wish her all the best for the future.”
Meanwhile, the following players have accepted new contracts for next season: Dani Bowman, Kirsty Barton, Jodie Brett, Emily Simpkins, Laura Rafferty, Victoria Williams, Ellie Brazil, Rianna Jarrett, Fliss Gibbons, Danique Kerkdijk, Aileen Whelan, Beth Roe, Megan Connolly, Kayleigh Green.
