Meryl traumatized from seeing the death of THOUSANDS in the most inhumane way possible. Wolfwood questioning what monster he guided to the largest city and watch it be reduced to nothing. I have some that are just like, "Ehh, yeah it's annoying, but let them do what they want," then on the other side I have someone sending me "GOD FUCKING DAMNIT ALL MY FEED IS IS STOLEN TANGOTRONIC ART." Me personally I am at a 7 out of 10 on the annoyed scale.

Stop making everything about your niche game. I love talking about manzai birds or packing pests or munchy monk, but I don't make it a life style, and I especially wouldn't make it a lifestyle 1 to 1. An account about it? Sure, whatever, but god please make a group chat for y'all, you have each other to talk to who actually want to 24/7 eat sleep breathe tangotronic, some of us don't. Some of us don't have the heart to tell you, but thank God that ain't me. I've already blocked a few, but some remain, so if you see this, take fucking note.

I understand that Miku is the most famous Vocaloid among all of them (probably the icon) but mAN- I don't know how should I feel when a song that was made for Classicaloid gets to be called as the Vocaloid song from GOTG3, I mean it's technically is a Vocaloid song since it features vocal synthesizer voices but damn, only 0.01% knew it originates from an anime 😭 I can't really argue with that.

IDK WHETHER I SHOULD BE HAPPY THAT KOINU NO CARNIVAL IS GETTING ATTENTION - I am happy that Ehamic's music is getting more popular and more people know about the music (like oh my god finally some recognition), but also a part of me feels frustrated that it will be remembered as the "Vocaloid song from GOTG3", again. I kind of have mixed feelings for it.

Not to mention that it's not just Miku singing in that song, there are 50 Vocaloids included - I can't believe someone dissected the voices and recognizes them!

Anyways, if you like a slice of life anime of the historical composers that can transform into magical boys/girls (such as Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Lizst, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Badarzewska, etc) + classical music remixes I suggest you to watch Classicaloid 😳 That "slice of life" can be very random and chaotic, but it explains their character along the series. It'll make you "what the fuck is going on" too. They have from comedic, serious, fun to sad moments.

Q = How many episodes and seasons?

It has 2 seasons, 25 episodes each! 50 episodes in total. Each composers are able to wield their powers called Musik and they have unique abilities!

If you want to see someone react to the first few episodes to get a glimpse on what it looks like - there is this video (they're the ones who introduced me to this anime):

You can learn something from each of the classical composers along the anime - such as:

Looks like season 2 is also confirmed! Dude, this was a journey and a half. I'm really glad that orange went the prequel route, and we got to see what led up to July's destruction. We actually get to see a glimpse of what the cast could've been like prior to the events of Trigun/TriMax.

Fuck I'm glad stampede was a thing in the first place, or I wouldn't have watched the anime or read the manga. Like fuck this is really a piece of media that sticks with you y'know? Like how the fuck am I gonna move on now? Like it's been a while since I thought of creating fanart or just rant on it because it's so fucking good. Like if I could ever create something like Trigun, something that sticks with people, like that would be a great accomplishment. Sure, there were some ups and downs (maybe I'll do like a legit review post, idk) but fuck I had a good time!

Now this post is getting long so I'm just gonna end it with that I'm glad I let orange cook and I can't wait for season 2

the conversation on difficulty in games is always so weird because like.

Different games obviously have different things they want, and developers should be able to make games as difficult or easy as they want. I don't think it's necessarily a moral failure for a game to not be complete-able by some portion of players- I think that's just a side-effect of the medium. I don't think it's reasonable to claim that it's ableist for a puzzle game to require you to solve the puzzles to progress, in the same way it wouldn't be for a rhythm game to require you to beat certain songs.

like Cruelty Squad benefits a lot from it's unforgiving difficulty, and just being able to ask it to be easy would... really undermine the story that's being told about the ways capitalism consumes your humanity and empathy.

And at the same time Wrath of the Righteous and Baldur's Gate benefit a lot from having a story mode where you can't die- their stories are told through dialogue and character interactions more than through gameplay.

Some games don't have the option of difficulty levels, like MMOs, and then they have to just select a difficulty level that is satisfying for a good number of players. One of the ways it does this is by retroactively making dungeons and trials easier through both power creep and fairly generous gear syncs.

And it's been interesting watching people complaining about the Dawntrail spike in difficulty when it... doesn't really exist? the Dawntrail dungeons are all less difficult than Tower of Zot was before everyone could out-stat every mechanic, and they're already being entirely out-geared and stat-checked as more and more players are level 100.

It already feels so weird to play through last expansion's content and see so many mechanics be completely skipped because damage is so much higher.

An interesting parallel

This is a Silm post, but not only Silm. Big spoiler for Brandon Sanderson's "the Rhythm of War" below the cut.

So, in the Legendarium (allegedly, tbh I hate this concept) the solution to Morgoth is to have Turin stab him with Anglachel. Which somehow solves something. Ok enough complaining

But.

In Stormlight Archive, the "have a dead messed-up guy with a baggage of bad life choices stab the main bad guy with a black, talking, very sus sword" actually works. It doesn't solve everything, and it causes another problem, but it does solve something. Also, it's an awesome scene.

I wonder if Brandon did this parallel on purpose or is it just me reading too much Silm. (Also, a conversation between Nightblood and Anglachel would be lovely to read.)

Rhythm of war kinda sucks

MAJOR PLOT SPOILERS FOR ALL OF STORMLIGHT ARCHIVE

feels like that the death of a bunch of major characters in across Words of radiance and oathbringer drastically closed the story telling opportunities for the next book lol. and also its hard to put my finger on but it almost feels like the main cast got flattened a bunch, and a lot of the interpersonal relationships between characters don't really hold up. I tried to reread it and got to the start of the occupation of uirthru and completely lost interest. Wind and Truth so far feels like a pretty good course correction but I don't know if it will hold up on a reread. A lot of The Cosmere books published after Oathbringer seem to have a nosedive in quality. Mistborn era 2 is really weak and so are a lot of the standalone novels. I dunno what happened behind the scenes with Sanderson
