RHYSOTHYWEEK YAAY!!! I am so normal about them.

For the first day I illustrated a moment from @bean-pole-art fic, "The New Abnormal"! Go read it!!!

I know I could’ve gone with the classic "Heart attack from seeing each other when Tim first shows up in the HQ" but then I decided that… Well, why not show a moment when not only Rhys sees Timothy being himself for the first time, but also Timothy sees his own self for the first goddamn time in ages

Answering some questions you might have!

"How do I participate?"

You post something and tag it as #RhysothyWeek and #RhysothyWeek2025! The general #Rhysothy tag will be checked too, but to make it easier to find and share here, clarify in tags and/or in the post itself that it is for the event.

"What type of content is allowed?"

Anything! As long as it’s made with your own mind, heart and soul, it’s always appreciated.

Writing, art, crafts, edits, moodboards and memes - all are welcome! Fics can be any length, as well as the art of any size and completion level. Don't be shy, sketches and traditional art is never "worse" and no one will judge styles. Everything tagged will be shared on this account and loved by people.

"Can I draw Rhys and Timothy with other characters?"

Depends! This is a RHYSOTHY focused event, so there is no reason to add other pairings, even if they are OT3’s and etc including the event’s pairing. Focus on the main pairing.

But you are free to mention and include other characters who might be friends or just background figures, after all, people don’t exist in a vacuum, and especially writers might need other actors on the scene. That is allowed and welcomed.

For example, a double date with Athena and Janey or one of them bullying Tim and Rhys is a great scenario.

"Are there any NSFW/violence restrictions?"

The source material, Borderlands, is 18+, so it makes sense for scenarios to include adult content.

Blood, violence and suggestive themes are allowed in the same way Borderlands allows it.

Just make sure to fit into the rules of the social media platform you post on.

"What if I don't have enough time to finish all prompts?"

That's completely fine! This account will reblog your creations for weeks after the main event, and there is no rush. Every piece is appreciated, and no one is obligated to complete all prompts.

One or two submissions is ALWAYS better than none! Everyone wants to see you shine, however you can!

"Only one day is marked as AU, can other days be AU?"

(Sorry for a slight prompt spoiler but this needed to be said.) YES YES HELL YES!!! After all, Rhysothy always is an AU, and this day is more like a free day, or a gentle nudge for you to go EXTRA wild with the AU interpretations! If a certain scenario feels better in an AU you have, go ahead!

Lectra City’s climate seemed surprisingly different from Meridian. Not that it was a bad thing – it was just always confusing for Timothy to experience.

As someone who had spent so many years in the same place, same climate and same surroundings the change was not only noticeable but sometimes also put its’ little special toll on Timothy. Sure, the Jackpot was always moderately warm. Jack wanted the place to feel like a vacation 24/7, all year long, right? And Timothy was just supposed to say “excellent idea boss, can you cut my wage in half so you can spend more on strippers and another golden toilet?”.

Well, he didn’t say all of that. Since he couldn’t possibly start complaining about the sunny vacation venue. Except for the cold dead look of a black hole nearby, that always sent that very special shiver down his spine.

However, after getting back from the death machine of Handsome Jackpot, he had to somewhat acclimate to Promethea. Just the warmer days, about 2 sunsets a day and occasional rain were sorta difficult to adjust but Timothy soldiered on. Getting cold every 2 weeks but by god, he soldiered on. Maybe he would never admit it to Rhys but the first winter with seeing snow was more than he had in mind.

Not that he would ever complain. Promethea was in fact his favorite place in every galaxy, his home. But he could complain about certain elements, right?
