Wizard of Oz, released August 1939, domestic box office: $3M. 1946, 1953, 1960, 1967, 1974, 1981,  then  straight ot    VCR,  DVD in 2002, Blue ray,  2009, 2019 anniversary  releases

between the  1940;s and 1970;s the movies was played  every  7  years as per   7 year rule, like Disney movies  screened every 7  years, in  1970, though,  we  had colour tv,  even though color  tv was only just invented, as the popularity of the  wizard of  oz  grew,  the effect,of  full RGBcolor tv;s  red green blue - was the  3  main  colours in a  color  pallete on a  tv, so the visual effect was large  screen entertianment  for  2  cents at the  theatre for 50 years, 

then cost 2 cents a day to  watch  tv,  50  years on broadcast  tv (1970-2020) 

2020 was the time global  digital  tv and radio stations went online, , not  because of the pandemic, but  because it was factored in to the  national broadcast of  each  nation , to make local content, and  have  a local version of  wizard of oz in each country, funy enough, the localised versions of  where  wizard of  oz  story comes from , the most   viewed new  york theatreical   wizard of oz on youtube  @stack496, it  has  1.8 Million views

 and ..after    50  years of internet. (1970-2020)  the  first  Jpeg of  wizard fo  oz would  have  been 1990 in the  way back machine, as images on the internet were all 8bit graphics until 1990

ELECTRONIC CANDLE

Assignment: Create an artificial candle using a NeoPixel jewel. Your candle should include a base and a shade or diffuser. Try to capture the colors and behavior of a real candle in programming your candle.

My interpretation of this assignment was to create a small electronic candle that resembled a tea light. The base is made from wood, carved into a circle with a hole in the middle. The height of the base gave enough space to place the LED light inside. The shade was made from crumbled tracing paper, layered inside to create a more realistic candle effect. 

Next I tried to deconstruct all of Tom Igoe’s Github examples of Color conversion (RBGW to HSI), sine wave interpretations to animate LED’s and neopixel examples. After mixing-matching-reinventing and getting stuck a lot of times. I was able to create my own version of an electronic candle. I will post another post with a video of my process.
