did anyone really expect that i WOULDN’T eventually draw a vikady wedding after that one tweet.

anyways, i can’t imagine they wouldn’t have an outdoor wedding + i imagine it’d be pretty casual so i put violet in more of a sundress instead of a traditional wedding dress. (id under cut)

Braids

For @reyroseweek | Fluff ~ Redeemed Dark Rey/Rose

One morning on the Resistance base, Rose braided my hair into two braids that began near the top of my head, went down the back of my head and behind my ears, then hung down on either side of my neck. I thought I looked ridiculous. I had of course worn various braided hairstyles as Empress, but none of them had ever looked so...innocent. Finn was waiting for me to join him so we could go to the mess hall for breakfast together, as we often did. Rose had to go do something but said she would catch up later.

When I saw Finn, I held up my finger.

“Not a word.”

Finn could barely contain his laughter. He had never seen me like this, not even at my youngest back on the Supremacy. At last he managed to form words.

“Did you do that?” he said, trying and failing to maintain a straight face.

“Of course not, Rose did,” I said, trying and failing to sound offended.

We started walking towards the mess hall. I could tell Finn was highly amused. After about a minute, he could no longer contain himself.

“You look adorable.”

“I’m not adorable,” I said emphatically.

“Yes you are.” He couldn’t stop laughing.

“You’re out of your mind,” I said, looking straight ahead as we walked.

“You just keep saying that.”

“I shoot lightning out my fingers, I’m not adorable.”

“You’re not shooting lightning now,” he said, still smiling broadly.

“Do you want me to?” Our conversation spiraled into playful bickering the whole way to the mess hall. We stopped just outside the doors.

“I can’t believe I’m about to show myself like this. I’m taking them out.”

I reached up to undo the braids.

“No no, no you’re not, you’re leaving them.” Finn quickly turned and grabbed my hand, stopping me from taking them out.

“Are you trying to humiliate me?”

“Leave them in for Rose...”

I made a pained expression. He had found my weakness. As much as I cared about how I looked to the others on the base, I cared more about Rose's feelings. I sighed and gave in.

“Fine...”

“That’s my best friend,” Finn said, patting me on the back as we entered the mess hall. I got some stares and some snickers, but ended up leaving the braids in all day. Rose couldn’t stop beaming at me...and I couldn’t help but smile back.
