DOTF PT 5/4?☺️

I love the Wavett/Remnicore art, but I dropped both planets from my version of DOTF. The campfire reminds me of one of my fav scenes in Star Trek V w/ Kirk, Spock, and Bones singing “Row, Row, Row Your Boat”. It would’ve been nice to see a moment like that for our heroes, but it just eats up time in the story and Rey needed to get to Bonadan. Rey lifting the Falcon out of the ice was a nice nod as well(DEF better than the one in TROS). lDK if Trevorrow was just so “ride or die” for Damerey that he was willing to get fired for it or LF just didn’t tell him that Reylo was a thing(I thought Rian made it abundantly clear), but it’s a BIG problem(so stupid to me). If he could’ve got over that I think he would’ve figured things out. When you put Poe with Finn/Rose everything changes for the better! It was cockblocking the real story. I feel like Bonadan is the pivotal moment for Rey to turn into Dark Rey when she kills the Knight of Ren w/ force lightning(and later tempted further by The Son on Mortis). It was also the most delicious opportunity to use another force bond between Rey/Ben where he projects himself across the galaxy to help his girl. The Tor Vallum/Vader stuff looks cool too, but Kylo didn’t need to become more evil. He needed to return to the light(Ben Solo). Also, the Eye of Webbish Bog/Mustafar serves the same purpose. DOTF could’ve been a meal! JJerrio just chewed it up and spit it back out. It needed a real cook to add the proper spices and it would’ve tasted better than TROS. I’m convinced that Bob Iger was the biggest reason the last Skywalker film was ultimately fucked. He wanted it under his belt before he retired😒…

I was gonna make a post about how tired I am of Star Wars "fans" bitching about the sequel trilogy and forgetting or ignoring that all sets of trilogies have their issues (they fucking do, don't even get me started on the prequel trilogy romance) but decided to instead make a different kind of post...

I like Kylo/Ben. I'm glad he died.

I wish they'd kept going with the focus on Finn. He should have been a jedi.

Poe was annoying in episodes eight and nine, but he was also fun so, whatever.

I'm a little sad that the original three (Han, Luke, and Leia) didn't have larger roles, but also it wasn't their story anymore? So, I get it.

Episode 8 is the worst but also has some of the best moments for Reylo, which until I saw the campfire scene and the hand touch thing, I was really hoping they were siblings but I'm kinda glad they went the Romeo & Juliet route.

I really wish they would stop being such dickheads to 3PO. He talks a lot but they were seriously assholes sometimes (especially Poe).

I REALLY liked the introduction of new Force powers. I don't understand why so many people blew gaskets over it.

I don't understand the hate for Rey. I REALLY don't.

I also am disgusted by the racism for Finn. Fuck off with that shit.

I liked the message at the end of Rise of Skywalker. It's not who you were born but who you choose to be. Skywalker meant love and acceptance and goodness to Rey and that's why she took the name.

The love story in the prequels was terrible. I blame the writing mostly. The dialogue was very dry and emotionless and forced. The only moments that felt genuine were the moments in the field when Ani was teasing the senator.

Episode 8 would have benefited from having the casino scene cut and replaced with something better.

I kinda wish Rey and Kylo had been given some alone time 😏 to carry on the family name.

Kylo def had to die though. That dude committed genocide and many other atrocities.

Vader had to die too.

I enjoy all of the Star Wars movies to varying degrees.

I don't think any of them, save the first (Episode IV A New Hope) is "perfect".

Rogue One is my favorite Star Wars film.

This isn't a finished list by any means, I might think of some more stuff and might come back and add them later. But this was fun! I love Star Wars.

You're very dismissive of reyloismine. They had so many things right last time, you can't deny it.

Look, as I said I had no idea who that person was before the last anon. I’m all for giving people the benefit of the doubt, and since you’re all so insisting that this person is legit I went to sleuth into their archive to make up my own mind. If you’ve been following me for a while you know I do not take anyone’s word at face value, especially when it comes to leaks and stuff like that.

I’m putting my observations under ‘read more’ and I don’t tag that post because I’m not interested in calling out anyone but my conclusion is that person read the Visual Dictionary one way or another right before it was leaked, because the only detail they had right and no one had predicted was the green milk and that info appeared on Reddit on Dec. 7 via the VD. That’s also the detail they chose to “prove their legitimacy” when objectively there could have been so many more interesting details pertaining to Reylo. Like if they had said “Kylo Ren slides in the corridors like a 4-year-old or “they hold hands” I would believe they were legit. 

Otherwise, from their blog, I have 0 evidence that between Dec. 5th and Dec. 14th they shared information that no one had been able to deduce from watching the trailers, reading the interviews or the leaks on Reddit (aka Shirtless Kylo for instance), especially because they talked like your typical psychic i.e.”Oh yeah, I said that but I didn't’ give details of where and when and I won’t.” or “I’m talking openly about seeing the movie and sharing my old speculation thread where I was about 15% correct pretending I was so right but I won’t say more because I don’ want to spoil the movie for people.” Even saying that there are “good and bad Reylo scenes” means jackshit.

So anyway, Nonnie, you do you but I don’t have to place my trust in someone who couldn’t provide real details and quotes before the movie came out.

Also now I’m annoyed at myself because I wasted the whole morning on that. 

On November 1st that person posted their timeline speculation that goes like that (Bolded Italic their words - my comments underneath. Pictures are theirs)

Episode 8 starts, where the last movie ends: Rey and Luke literal cliffhanger.

Everybody believed that would be the case because one of the first detail that came out from interviews is that there wouldn’t be any time jump, which is why the crew was back filming in Ireland.

However, turns out that the movie starts on D’Qar when they evacuate the base so the prediction for the movie itself isn’t 100% correct.

Luke bewildered, takes the lightsaber that once belonged to his father from a stranger. He asked who is she and how she found him. Rey tells him Leia sent her and that he is needed.

That was an easy one. We* pretty much all had deduced from the way Luke look at Rey at the end of TFA.

Luke returns the lightsaber, does not want to be involved, and starts to retreats to his cave when Rey takes off her vest, and showing him that she is force sensitive.

The idea of Luke not wanting anything to do with Rey is there, but the hut/cave scenes and training scenes are all mixed up. There again, that wasn’t groundbreaking speculation since a lot of reylo fanfics started with the premise that Luke doesn’t want to train Rey.

The next day, Luke finds Rey still waiting for him. She was meditating, and he tries to guide her. With his help, her power grew, cracking the floor beneath them.

Continuation of the reluctant master theory, mitigated by the fact we had images of Rey cracking the rock beneath her but Rey wasn’t meditating before he found her. That’s all mixed up.

“I’ve seen this raw strength once before. It didn’t scare me then, it does now“ says Luke and dismisses her once again.

That was in the trailer and it made sense that it was that scene.

Kylo Ren wakes up and finds himself alive on the Supremacy. He does not remember how he got there. The last thing he remember is the scavenger defeating him on Starkiller base. His wounds have been treated, but the scars will remain. A daily reminder of his defeat.

That’s the start of about every fanfics. We knew that Hux had retrieved Kylo and we knew he had the scar from the promo pictures but it didn’t happen like that + turns out Kylo doesn’t even mention the scar at all.

He is escorted to Snoke, who belittles him for being defeated by a girl. He demands from Kylo to prove himself once again. Dismissing killing his father as any form of achievement. Then he is presented with his mask and lightsaber, salvaged from Starkiller base. Snoke orders him to wear it to hide the disgraceful scar.

Same, most fanfics had that kind of element. Snoke being an abuser it was evident he would belittle Kylo and call him on his failure. But the sentiment regarding the scar and the mask was completely wrong.

Once Kylo Ren is back to his chambers, he could not control his rage and destroys his mask.

That came directly from the trailer but it wasn’t in his chambers.

Kylo Ren acts fast and tracks the Resistance fleet, desperately wanting to prove his loyalty. To his surpise, he senses his mother being onboard, and Leia talks to her son. Asking him to come home.

They deduced that almost right from the trailers, apart from the fact that Leia doesn’t say anything at all.

It caught him off guard. He hesitates firing at her ship, then tells his mother to run away and buys her some time before he fires eventually to cover his tracks.

Same. The not firing comes from the trailer but Kylo’s supposed intention to buy some time for Leia to run away was really incorrect.

The Resistance fights back, Leia escapes unharmed and Rose helps an unconcious Finn escape as well.

100% incorrect. 

Back to Ach-to, Rey experiences a force vision, showing the events of the Jedi Massacre, her jumping into the ocean, fending off a sea creature, then fights Luke. I also believe, she sees Kylo Ren too.

It did not happen like that at all, and we all know the sea creature turned out to be the Thala Siren.

Rey decided to go back to the Resistance base the next day. In the meantime, she set a campfire near the Millennium Falcon and are cooking dinner with Chewbacca and R2D2. Luke visits them to say goodbye and gives her some advice.

100% incorrect

Time passes and Rey senses a new presence on the island. She runs towards Luke’s home, only to find the Knights of Ren.

100% incorrect. Also, the scene with Rey running towards the village was deleted in the final montage.

Rey and Kylo Ren duel, while Luke fights the remainder.

Never happened. But a lot of people believed the KoR would make an appearance on Ahch-To.

Rey learns that Kylo was able to trace her due to the force vision she experienced earlier. Somehow he was able to defeat her and takes her to Snoke.

100% incorrect. 

Snoke reveals his intentions with Rey. He wants to train her as his new apprentice. Discarding the old for the new.

100% incorrect

Kylo Ren goes on the offensive, and stops Snoke torturing Rey.

That was correct, but definitely not for the reasons implied above.

Finn learns about Rey’s abduction, infiltrates the First Order fleet with Rose and DJ’s help. DJ has a different agenda, and bombs the place.

100% incorrect apart from the fact that Rose, Finn and DJ are on the Supremacy, wearing FO uniforms

This puts the First Order on alert, resulting in Phasma and Finn facing off.

It didn’t happen like that either. But sure, the Supremacy is in flame and we saw Finn fighting Phasma.

Rey escapes and Kylo intercepts her, pointing his lightsaber at her. Not knowing whether she is consumed by darkness or still the same person. Kylo Ren turns off the lightsaber, not wanting to fight her.

Nope.

Kylo sill say a line similar to  “come with me and together we can rule the galaxy”

That was pretty obvious that it was going to happen, unless you believed Hux was holding his hand out to Rey lmao

She doesn’t and joins Finn and Rose, who board the Millennium Falcon piloted by Poe and Chewbacca.

Nope.

Poe takes the team onboard one of the resistance ships. Only for it to get attacked. The resistance retreat by using escape pods and head to the nearest hideout on Crait for cover. There, the team meet Leia and Luke.Luke returned to the base with Chewbacca and decided to join the battle.

I see where they came from when you look at the pictures, but the details are all off, especially Luke returning to Resistance with Chewbacca.

The First Order have tracked them down. This was it. The final battle.

A battle on Crait to finish the movie, wow who would have seen that coming?

Then on December 5, supposedly after they watch the movie they posted that

I got so many things right and wrong!

Personally, I see way more wrong than right. There’s 0 mention that Rey and Kylo have a Force Bond, there’s 0 mentions of Finn and Rose’s journey on Canto Bight, There’s 0 mention of Holdo or any other character that plays an important role in the story, there’s 0 mention that Kylo actually kills Snoke and becomes Supreme leader.

Still on dec. 5 someone calls them out and they mention the milk scene.

Then on the 7th the Visual Dictionary is leaked and that’s where people start believing they’re really legit. To me that just means they saw the VD. Afterward, why not share something that wasn’t in the VD and wasn’t in any trailer and being all cryptic? Something that wouldn’t have spoiled the movie and Reylo.

Reylo Research Trip, Day 1 :)

Hello from the Michigan lakeside, my lovelies!! I’m posting this a day late because I’m having too much fun to use the internet ;) But hey, the RL experience is what I’m here for, right?

Day 1 (Friday) was kind of a bum day. Understandable since we drove ALL DAY Thursday and felt totally wiped out. :p But it’s been inspiring all the same! Friday night we built a campfire in the backyard of our rental cottage, and it kicked off quite the adventure....

CARNAGE!!!

That’s right, it’s mayfly season around here. Our campfire triggered a swarm - partially around the campfire, but mostly around the house. They were so thick on the doors and windows that we couldn’t even get back inside, so we had to spray them with Raid... which resulted in the devastation you see here. What’s worse, a lot of them were still alive for a while, trying to beat their wings. The sound was like rain. Very localized rain.

Today there are flies buzzing around the corpses. Gnarly, dude.

And yes, some form of this will probably make it into my creepy forest AU ;)

It hasn’t been all creepy, though. After the mayfly apocalypse, we sat out by the lake and listened to scary stories under a crystal clear night sky. I can’t believe how many stars there were. I wish I could share pictures, but a cellphone can’t capture that kind of glory :p So here’s a pic of the sunrise instead.

Today we're going to go hiking in the woods, which is what I came here for. I can't wait.

My Thoughts watching TLJ

So many....here it is. And it’s mostly all Reylo lol

1. Poe is a fricken badass in this movie.

2. Luke Skywalker THROWING the lightsaber over his shoulder was EVERYTHING. (I laughed for 5 minutes)

3. Not gonna lie, Finn was a tad annoying in this movie....I can’t place it....I don’t know why.

4. ALL OF THE FORCE BOND SCENES WITH REY AND KYLO I’M LIVING.

5. Especially the SHIRTLESS SCENE.

6. Especially the hut scene!!!!!!! Luke was like a fricken Dad walking in on his ‘daughter’ fooling around with a boy in her bed. Like WHAT THE SHIT. That was so romantic!!!!! I squeed so hard at the shot of them actually holding hands.

7. Canto Bight could have been left out tbh. It had no meaning, and DJ was a pointless character. (there were too many story lines going on if I’m honest.)

8. Oh, and when Rey attacked Luke, holy shit.

9. Ummm....where did the knights of ren go? What happened to all of that stuff they shot in Ireland? I’m so confused...?

35. Finn’s obsession with Rey is a little bizarre? Idk....it seemed forced in this movie tbh...now it seems like they have no chemistry. WEIRD?!?! Maybe cause after we saw the chemistry between Rey and Kylo it doesn’t even hold a candle to it. DAMN.

36. That mirror scene with Rey in the cave is crazy, so cool. Very artsy and amazing.

37. Porgs everywhere. EVERYWHERE. Yikes. When Chewy is trying to eat that prog by the campfire and those sad Porgs came along, omg SO CUTE. But by the end I was like ugh i hate porgs.

38. I felt like I didn’t get enough Kylo development tbh...the way people were talking about it...I imagined his character different. Idk....seemed lacking somehow? 

39. Like...does this mean....he’s going to just get darker? I don't like that one bit. I thought the whole point was redemption!!! And Leia lost all hope, but she was the one who said there was light in him. I don't get it. And then Luke said no, there is still something in everyone....but.....Kylo? Ben? Are you still there? Is there redeeming after this? TBH I think he’s going to die in 9. I don’t want him to. I want them to be happy and have lost of babies....but maybe this is where the Skywalker line ends for good. Damn.

13. Honestly, Anakin. He’s manipulated from the time he’s as child to be this “chosen one” and bring balance to the force, and Palpatine gets his grubby claws in him and becomes this absolute monster, when all he wanted to do was be with the woman he loved, and protect her. Anakin deserved better than this, George Lucas.

14. Also Anakin. Boy, you are precious, but you need to get your priorities in order. Be kind to your master because he loves you in a brotherly fashion, DONT FORCE CHOKE YOUR BEAUTIFUL PREGNANT WIFE, and maybe listen to literally anyone but Palpatine.

15. Jar-Jar Binks. I agree, he’s an awful joke of a character, and shouldn’t have existed, but he’s just a long aquatic boy, trying his best.

16. DONT 👏 FORCE 👏 CHOKE 👏 YA WIFE👏 ANAKIN!!!!! Also, maybe get a second opinion as to why Padmé is literally dying in childbirth. Uterine Hemorrhage maybe? Perhaps a collapsed larynx? Palpatine draining the life from her so that Anakin could “survive” as Darth Dad? Idk I’m just sayin, Obi-Juan.

17. Leia or Rey.

I didn’t know much about Star Wars as a kid, but Leia was an awesome role model for me growing up. A princess??? Who fires laser guns??? And kicks major ass??!! And does it all while looking FABULOUS??!!??!! Sign me the fuck up for a classy Halloween costume and hand me some cinnamon rolls it’s GO TIME!

With Rey, I would absolutely want to be her friend, but more in a big sister kind of way. Rey, in the story, is about 19-21. When TFA came out, I was her age, and I loved her. The level of badassery she has achieved is the level to which we all should aspire to have. But while she’s awesome and intelligent, and beautiful, I don’t think she’s ever had a confidante or companion she could rely on. I wouldn’t coddle her, because she would hate that, but I would stand at her side, and straighten her linen wraps when they go crooked, and do her hair for her. Basically I’d be to her what I already am to my actual sister. Love you @unseeliesidhe .

18. Han. He would have the best stories to tell around the campfire, and he always manages to have a decent liquor from his last shipment hidden somewhere on board the Falcon. If ya get him to drink just enough, he gets really honest with you, and admits that parsecs are a measure of distance, not time, so there’s no way the falcon made the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs, because it can’t shorten distances, but it can sure make them go by a lot faster. And he would always deny it in the morning while nursing his Death Star sized hangover.

19. Chewie. He’s loyal, and wizened, and knows how to fly and fight, and that bowcaster can take down a fleet if he wants it to. If he’s good enough for Yoda, Han, Leia, Luke, and Rey, he’s absolutely good enough for me.

20. I’m just sitting here, waiting patiently, for my Obi-wan movie, where we find out how he went from looking like Ewan McGreggor, to Sir Alec Guinness in 20 years.

21. A Jar Jar Binks movie, just to make all the nerd boys scream. I’d sit in the back of the theatre with a jumbo popcorn, smiling like Michael Jackson, watching that shit go down.

22. Dark purple main blade. Picture Darth Maul’s saber, but one side is significantly smaller than the other, and removable to act as a knife.

23. Luke’s green saber, Darth Maul’s double saber, and Sidious’s palm-sized saber for sneak attacks.

Story- the force flows through all of us, for we are all living things, and we are all part of a balance that shows us our places in the universe.
