He stepped up to her after being summoned forth by the triplicata. That little burst of mana had been enough to send him through some kind of void, hear a bunch of voices, and wound up here...with a schoolgirl waiting for him.

Typical Tuesday night.

His gaze lingered on her for a moment longer. He was a pretty good judge of character. She was tough. Wasn’t the ‘damsel in distress’ type, that much he could tell right away. But then again, he preferred those types. He was no slouch himself...and he somehow felt stronger now. He’d have to be careful of that or else he’d start breaking things without meaning to. Or...with meaning to. He felt a familiar rage beating within the pit of his stomach. Like a war drum. Urging him to go out and give someone a beatdown.

He suppressed that rage. He was good at that. Like really good at it.

“I’m Berserker. You can call me Red Hood. Just make sure not to call me that in front of others, I guess. Since that’s kind of a thing. If you want me to call you Master...uh...that’s fine, I guess.”

Admittedly, he’d been a little distant lately. Angry, even. He could admit that he’d lost his temper the other day with the rabbit guy. Somebody had stopped him from doing something he’d regret. But it still didn’t make the pain in his guy go away. Like everything bad that had happened before he got here had happened only yesterday. The ‘system update’ for his brain hadn’t been a good one.

Babydoll was there and he’d been avoiding talking much which, obviously, would lead her to believe something was wrong. Hell, it’d make anyone think something was wrong if they’d met him for five minutes. He never shut up usually. His eyes focused on the television, an empty stare within his eyes. But was drawn from his trance-like stare when he felt a hand slowly enter his own, lacing with his fingers and giving it a firm squeeze. The warmth radiating from her palm causing his gaze to shift slowly to where she was sitting.

“Uh... sorry. Did I miss somethin’ good? I wasn’t payin’ all that much attention...”

she’s cool, tough, and most of all, she’s calm. but not so calm that she’ll shy away from a fight, calm enough to keep him in check when they’re outside of one. her being calm keeps him calm so that does a lot for him overall. plus she’s pretty but that’s a bonus.
