Revelation 7: Meaning of the Multitude

After so many disturbing images from the breaking of the seals, John was now swept up in a rapturous time of praise and thanksgiving, as the mighty multitude, the elders, all the angels, and the four living creatures exalted God, singing. #Revelation7

God is not done with the Jews, they are His chosen people, they were instrumental in the Old Testament, in the New Testament they delivered the gospel to the gentile world thus making the world a better place and they will be a major player in biblical prophecy. In Revelation 14 The apostle John saw the Lamb—Jesus—standing on Mount Zion. The event pictures Jesus as having returned to Jerusalem at the end of the tribulation. He is ready to inaugurate His kingdom on earth. With Him on Mount Zion are the 144,000 sealed Jewish men who have survived the tribulation. They have triumphed over all its turmoil and persecution. This is the same group of Jews we read about in Revelation chapter 7. In that chapter, these Jews received the seal of the living God on their foreheads (Revelation 7:4). This verse describes the 144,000 as having the name of the Lamb and His Father on their foreheads. This seal marks them as belonging to God as His servants. This is a stark contrast to those who received the mark of the beast. In Greek, the contrast between the words for "seal" and "mark" is especially drastic. Heaven is described as Paradise, reminding us that it is a world full of joy, pleasure and delight. But here (John 14:2) heaven is described as a home: My Father’s house.
