I’m still waiting for quotes on how much fixing these dumb reedplates would be but I might as well show what I’ve been doing the past days so far.

The bellows paper looks like this. Nice blue and flowers. The stops have flower motifs on it as well.

These palettes are giving me a lot of work, at least they’re easier to scrub down than the bass side levers I’ll be doing later.

Hoping so bad the cost of revalving the plates is doable to pay for or else this project will be shelved til I can get enough dough, but I’d still be tinkering with this in the mean time

Rising Star: New Disorder

I New Disorder nascono a Roma nell’aprile 2009. Da subito propongono brani originali in grado di riassumere i diversi background dei componenti. I 5 membri provengono da significative esperienze musicali. Hanno infatti militato in alcune tra le più importanti band della scena rock e metal capitolina. Il risultato è un sound caratterizzato da influenze che vanno dall’alternative rock al metal, al punk, con testi esclusivamente in lingua inglese.

Alla fine del 2009, la band termina il primo lavoro in studio, “Hollywood Burns”, EP pubblicato dall’etichetta Wynona Records il 28 febbraio 2010. Il lavoro riscuote un buon successo in termini di vendite, soprattutto negli Stati Uniti, nonché ottime recensioni da parte degli addetti ai lavori.

Nella prima metà del 2010 la band è impegnata con il primo tour nazionale, mentre nella seconda metà inizia la scrittura di nuovi brani. I New Disorder, nel mese di giugno 2011, pubblicano, in autoproduzione, l’EP “Total Brain Format”, che ottiene ancora ottime recensioni e un buon riscontro commerciale, pur non raggiungendo i principali canali di distribuzione.

Dopo una intensa attività live, a cavallo tra il 2011 ed il 2012, la band pubblica un nuovo album, “Dissociety” (uscito il 4 marzo 2013), sotto etichetta Revalve Records. A questo segue, nel giugno 2013, un tour di 10 date da headliner nell’Europa del Nord-Est.

L’album “Dissociety” è attualmente distribuito in Europa, USA, Canada, Giappone e Oceania, oltre che in tutti i canali digitali. Dopo alcuni cambi di line-up, nel settembre 2013, e un nuovo tour nazionale, (febbraio-maggio 2014), i New Disorder annunciano un nuovo contratto discografico con la Agoge Records per l’uscita del nuovo album, “Straight To The Pain“.

Il 4 novembre 2014 esce il video ufficiale “Never Too Late To Die“,  singolo che anticipa l’album, pubblicato il 23 gennaio in Italia e nelle settimane successive anche in Europa e U.S.A.

La release ufficiale dell’album, a marzo del 2015, coincide anche con un ulteriore cambio di formazione. Questa vede la sostituzione di  Alex Trotto con il chitarrista Alessandro Cavalli, con il quale i New Disorder continuano l’intensa attività live che li ha sempre contraddistinti.

La band inizia quindi la prima parte del tour italiano del 2015, che li porta anche sul palco del Contestaccio il 27 marzo, assieme agli amici Heretic’s Dream.

Il 14 settembre 2015 esce il secondo singolo estratto da “Straight To The Pain“, il brano “A Senseless Tragedy (Bloodstreams)“, presentato anche all’evento Animal Aid Live! di Piazza del Popolo.

A novembre del 2015 i New Disorder cambiano nuovamente line up ed annunciano l’ingresso tra le proprie fila del chitarrista Christian Caruso, in sostituzione dell’uscente Fabrizio Proietti.

La formazione così composta si appresta ad affrontare un mini tour italiano, che li porterà sul palco del Kaleidos e sul palco del Circus, ed il successivo tour europeo, nell’aprile del 2016.

Nel 2023 la band sta per tornare con un nuovo disco dal titolo: New beginning.

Windows based guitar rig software may have more potential if more serious guitar sound users can find a way to bring the powerful multi-effect processing of Native Instruments to their personal computer. Guitar Rig is considered by many, to be the superior program for arranging, sequencing, and playing synthesizer based guitar solo tracks. Although both have been available for a long time, there is no direct analog to the Kontakt interface. While Guitar Rig and Native Instruments Kontakt do share certain similarities, they are two distinct programs that perform distinctly different tasks. The fact that both Native Instruments Kontakt and Guitar Rig have become staples of the musician's computer audio workstation indicate that there is money to be made when designing home recordings that include guitar sounds. This experimentation, however, must begin with the right guitar effects plugins. Although it is not quite possible to produce a live sound effect, the potential for musical experimentation is still very real. A lot of their best features are behind a paywall, but you can choose to get them in bundles or one by one.

The effects work the same way, where you can turn them on or off, and clicking the label below the buttons will let you adjust the settings for them. On the right side of the Perform screen, the Quick Edit area will show you some parameters you can adjust for the selected type of articulation. You can also fine tune them to your liking by clicking on the label below the corresponding button. These include sustain, mute, staccato, hammer-on/pull off, portamento, tremolo, and pinch. The Perform screen has many buttons to switch articulations on or off. When you play any notes on your MIDI keyboard, it will trigger both guitars at the same time. One way to use this is to have two guitars panned to the left and right, and use different effects on each of them. It is easy to set this up with the outputs going to separate tracks. One feature which is very cool is its ability to do double-tracking or even quad-tracking. Many of the defaults are fine the way they are, but you can go in and change nearly anything to your liking. Without even changing anything in the settings, you can get a great sound right away from Shreddage 2X. They’ve also included the older version called Shreddage v2i. There is another one called Shreddage II FX which has many pick slides, muted rakes, various whammy bar sounds, and more. It has all the strings sampled on every fret, and in all sorts of ways including staccato notes, power chords, unison bends, the list goes on! Most of the time, you will probably be using the Shreddage IIX file, as it has the main guitar sounds that you’d use in your songs. Alternately, you can use Shreddage 2X as a standalone plugin using the Kontakt player.Īfter you get it running, you then have a choice of three different instrument files to load into either Kontakt or Kontakt Player. I used SONAR X3 Producer as my DAW for this review.

Shreddage 2X is priced at $139 USD, and there is an upgrade price of $99 USD if you own the original Shreddage. So how was it recorded? The guitar they used was a Musicman JP12 (seven-string guitar) going through an Avalon U5, then in to a RME HDSPE interface, and recorded in 24-bit audio. The first time I heard the demos for it, I thought there was a real guitar player going at it in the studio, as there is just so much realism in its sound. It has built-in effects, many articulation controls, and is very easy to use. What exactly is Shreddage 2X? It is a sampled electric guitar that can be loaded into either Kontakt or the free Kontakt Player. With Shreddage 2X, they’ve added even more useful features. The original version was released in 2010, and later on it received many improvements for v2. For this issue of SoundBytes, I will be reviewing another product of theirs that is called Shreddage 2X. Impact Soundworks are the producers of many fine sampled instrument libraries, including Vocalisa, Juggernaut, Celestia, and many more. Those words are a lot to live up to, and our reviewer thinks they might have actually delivered on that claim. Impact Soundworks claims Shreddage 2X is the “Absolute Electric Guitar”.

Raccontare storie sulle due guerre mondiali e trasformarle in canzoni. Questo è ciò che fanno i Nexus Opera, e questo moniker può essere spiegato come un collegamento, un ponte musicale tra passato, presente e futuro, per offrire queste storie come monito, per non dimenticarle o semplicemente per il piacere di raccontarle.

I Nexus Opera nascono a Roma nel 2003, fondati da Marco e Alessandro, due chitarristi entrambi con la passione per l’Heavy e il Power Metal. Le prime canzoni e spettacoli risalgono a questo periodo, ma a causa di alcuni cambi di formazione e di un lungo stop delle attività si dovrà attendere il 2014 per l’album d’esordio: ‘Tales from WWII’, dedicato a persone e fatti, più o meno noto, sul più grande conflitto della storia dell’Umanità.

L’album, interamente autoprodotto e inquadrato in un power metal con venature classiche, ottiene buone recensioni e critiche e dà alla band la possibilità di diffondere il proprio nome nella scena underground e di suonare una serie di spettacoli con il climax in apertura. recitano per Edu Falaschi e per il festival Metal 4 Kids United.

Durante il centenario dello scoppio della Prima Guerra Mondiale, i Nexus Opera iniziano a scrivere materiale per il loro nuovo capitolo. Ci vorranno più anni e cambi di formazione del previsto per arrivare finalmente al 2020 e completare la lavorazione di ‘La Guera Granda (The Great Call to Arms)’, il secondo album della band, ancora una volta un concept ma questa volta di protagonisti e le vicende del fronte austro-italiano durante la Grande Guerra, l’immane tragedia che segnò la fine di un’epoca e dei Grandi Imperi.

Rispetto alla prima uscita si tratta di un passo avanti sia sul piano musicale, con alcuni inserti sinfonici e di voci femminili e cori epici, sia sui testi con il concept incentrato sugli eventi bellici che coinvolsero il Regno d’Italia fin dal suo ingresso nel Regno d’Italia. guerra del 24 maggio 1915 fino alla vittoria del 4 novembre 1918 attraverso battaglie, epiche gesta, ritirate, tragedie.
