their unit is called M4SQUERADE☆ :3 they're based on the concept of masked singers (hilarious considering i made them way before i got into yaelokre) and are a sort of mix between niigo and wxs in their music style. i think sort of like. dark theater vibes basically. they're all lesbians and have weird relationships <3

I was thinking about the crack trip that is the Pokémon ScarVio TCG manga and how it compares with the depressing plot of the base game, and I’m still not over how in the TCG manga, Turo and Sada just adopt some feral child in the woods and just leave it with their non-Arven child, Retto, because they thought it was cool they shared names.

It's like that show grabbed Dracula's line from SOTN "Perhaps the same could be said of all religions.", in response to Richter accusing him of stealing men's souls and making them his slaves. And just ran with it. I'm tired of Netfli.xvania throwing all the series' nuance, bc fuck they are too busy turning this series into a generic vampires show. All while still somehow, finding a way to shit on vampire myths.

Castlevania was never that DEEP with storytelling, the series isn't known for its profound story. But what IS there is highly appreciated by us. The entire serie's point is: the problem isn't with religion itself, it's people who abuse it and give it a bad rep. The Belmont clan still draws its main source of power, from their faith. Despite their convoluted history with the catholic church, the institution itself.

Is there magical elements besides that? OFC there are, but Juste and Richter showed how they COMBINED both things, instead of exclusively using one over the other. Their true power came from this mixed bloodline. Then you look at what the show did, and Richter looks like a generic discount Sypha.

All of this rant just to say that: Religion IS a huge thing for the Belmonts, you remove that, and you remove the clan's relevance and its rich history. The topics of religion and having faith in the darkest times, aren't just there bc "this is a gothic/dark fantasy" setting.

I'm not toning it down, because most "fans" can't even distinguish the difference between christian and catholic churches.
