i wanted to draw something different today soooo. i went n scrounged up a buncha pokepastas that ive read/pokepasta ocs ive seen around recently (mostly via mutuals)! ill tag creators and link sources under the cut, and ramble a little abt my thoughts... ^^

if anyone wants me to untag or remove their stuff from this btw let me know i didnt ask i kinda just. started doodling.

Your Friend Silver (Elias) by @uuberwachen ! this was such an INSANELYYY well written story and it stuck with me for DAYS. it really slots in the space in my mind that holds the classics and the twists and stuff with it genuinely got me. i cant recommend it enough if anyone who sees it hasnt read it yet. i got so excited when i saw a dedicated ask blog went up. i wish i werent scared of sending in questions to those things

Pixel Blue: 3DS VIRTUAL CONSOLE (2016) by @calybunz ! ahhh this was such a cool one to read! id see updates on it incidentally n i can tell a lot of work went into it- it was definitely worth it! its well written with a lot of heart.. maybe im just a sucker for stories that focus on a sympathetic blue.. the ending made me so SAD dude what the fuck. though my favorite parts were probably the dream sequences- godd the imagery of it all was fantastic!

Nuzlight (Mia) at @nuzlight-mia ! this is one i dont know much about yet, but her personality and design really captivated me when i first saw her! she seems like such a sweetheart and i look forward to getting to see more of her :3 i feel so bad for her situation.. the story n concept are all so interesting!

Missing Numbers (Green) at @themissingnumbers ... is our thing but green is hells (@hells1nfern0 ) dude that i have no sway in so. whatever. im unwell about him im excited for more to be revealed abt him :] i cant really say more than that since i know his secrets

FIRE RED FREE DOWNLOAD (Infected/Abandoned RED) by @aibouart ... another one i saw the design of first and was just IMMEDIATELY struck by. i love when stories twist in-universe things that're generally treated as normal and mundane and use its horror potential! a parasect parasite outbreak where the protagonist gets infected by that and ends up full of mushrooms...? thats the kinda shit i love to see >:)

Jack by @sparklingdemon ! cool ass design ive been wanting to draw and a cool concept to go with- the creepyblack protagonist as a grinning-reaper type where the ghost is an extension of him rules. i also loveee when designs utilize the fossil missingno stuff!! kabutops's arms lend themselves REALLY well to being a scythe

Glitchy Red: Retold by @lycankeyy / @glitchyred (idk which blog youd rather have tagged sorry). so i saw this when the official ao3 repost went up or got mentioned or something and it. really. resonated with me. like its hard to put my thoughts into coherent words, other than i had to just. Lay Down for the rest of the night after reading it and just feel whatever emotions struck me. it cut really deep but honestly- that's just fantastic. it's not often that i read something that makes me feel as viscerally as this rewrite did, and i have nothing but adoration for it because of that (we do have the plural bias which doesnt help regarding this lol). in my mind this is the definitive version of glitchy red.

Okay so I wanted to go over some basic stuff for the magic retold!

Okay so Fairies can be either male or female same with witches I call the male counterparts warlocks

Wizards are warriors with magic, they hone their fighting skills alongside their magic and it powers their weapons

Whilst Warlocks focus on the negative sides of their magic (witches and warlock aren’t bad people they were painted that way) they don’t fight with weapons they fight with magic

So big difference is Wizards fight with weapons that are infused with magic whilst warlocks fight with their raw magic

Fairies tend to focus on the positive sides of their magic and help people more so then witches/warlocks

A group of fairies are called Fae and that is the general term for them in the magic dimension

Specialists are basically wizards but because they focus on their own magic and a certain weapons they got called specialists

So yes all the boys have certain bits of magic!

Alfea and Cloud Tower we’re all girls schools until about 10 years after the winx graduate (their early 30’s)

That’s when the headteachers after speaking with many alumni and other graduates decide to change making it so boys & girls or just any fairy, witch, warlock and wizard could choose which school to join with no repercussions

Red fountain bred wizards

Alfea bred fairies

Cloud tower bred witches

Warlocks studied in their own schools on their home planets until this change

And some fairies went to other academies (like Beta Academy in Solaria and Linphea College)

So now

Cloud tower welcomes witches and warlocks

Alfea welcomes all fae

Red Fountain now welcomes both wizards and warlocks also fairies and witches since some of these might want to go on to become warriors instead of actual fairies or witches/warlocks

So you have Damion and Caspian (Stella and Aisha’s sons) who ended up at Alfea and Cloud tower respectively

Pascal, Flora’s son ended up at Cloud Tower as well (he thrives there despite his shy nature)

Yijun, Musa’s daughter went to red fountain for a bit before transferring to Alfea in the middle of her first year!

Theodore, Stella’s eldest son is alumni of both cloud tower and red fountain (he graduated RF slightly earlier but took his last year at cloud tower)

So you get a variety of students at each college really!

Some other schools like Beta Academy and Linphea college had already done that or have still stayed as boarding schools of one gender

Beta Academy still only accepts female students

You have Leto Academy which is it’s male counterpart

Linphea college allows anyone of any gender to study there, Linphea is cool like that

Andros has the Underwater Auditorium for merfolk which is right underneath the Circle of Amphitrite so their close to their human counterparts

And there are plenty of other schools in the other planets but I might put that in a part 2!

One quiet day on the farm, the Little Red Hen found some wheat seeds and decided to make bread.

"Who will help me plant these seeds?" the Little Red Hen asked.

"I would." said the Horse "But I'm a workhorse, and I'm too busy moving carts around."

And so the Little Red Hen planted the seeds by herself. And they grew into bountiful golden crops.

"Who will help me harvest the wheat?" the Little Red Hen asked.

"I would." said the Dog "But I'm a guarddog, and I'm too busy keeping away burglars and predators."

And so the Little Red Hen harvested the wheat herself and made it into flour.

"Who will help me bake the flour?" the Little Red Hen asked.

"I would." said the Pig "But I'm a mother of 5 newborn piglets, and I'm too busy taking care of my young."

And so the Little Red Hen baked the bread herself into twenty beautiful loaves.

"Who will help me eat the bread?" the Little Red Hen asked.

"We would." said the Farm Animals. "But we're ashamed, for we didn't do anything to make the bread."

"Nonsense!" said the Little Red Hen. "You, Horse, helped move around the stones that built my oven. You, Dog, kept me safe while I worked. And you, Pig, are raising a new generation of Farm Animals, who will too contribute to our Farm one day. You've all helped me so much by simply being you."

"Besides," the Little Red Hen added. "I couldn't possibly eat all the loaves on my own, most of them would go to waste. Come, eat with me."

And so the Little Red Hen and the Farm Animals ate the bread together. And all saw their own, and each other's, worth.

When I was younger, I remember babysitting my younger cousin on Halloween. One of them was going to a birthday/Halloween party. When she showed me and her best friends costume, I didn't get it. "What are you?" I asked. "An Iona boy," she replied as I stood their blankly, not getting it as she tried to explain it to me. "Oh." I said, getting it. "It's a city kid joke." Iona being a private all boys school in the city, fine with the understanding i didn't see what was funny. "No B it's a FUNNY joke, not a city kid joke!"

And now, 12 years later, as I make jokes about my dad and people look at me with sadness, I find myself going "no it's not a sad joke, it's a funny joke"

Some more stuff for the magic retold

Years for schools!

So Bloom in my rewrite is 17 when she ends up in Alfea

So she is fit to start her first year at Alfea!

Stella is already 18 technically supposed to be in her second year but had to redo her first so she already knows the material

Same for Aisha she’s 18 and by the time she joins the winx they are in their second year so on top of that she does have to do extra to learn everything she missed

Let me explain fourth year

So some fairies, specialists and wizards/warlocks may choose to continue their studies and work experience

This is 4th year

They work with their planet’s governments and guardian fairies/specialists and wizards/warlocks to hone their specific skills so they can instantly have a job once they finish

This is where Paladins (wether they be fairies/specialists/wizards/warlocks) are formed

Paladins are groups of powerful magic users who work together to defend the magic dimension

(So Nex and Thoren are two, in the next gen you have Artemis and Caspian the eldest of their respective families)

So take for example

Artemis, Caspian and Chantelle!

These three form a group of Paladins and they go where they are needed to protect those who can’t protect themselves

Artemis is Guardian fairy of Solaria (She’s Stella’s eldest and crown Princess) since she works closer to her grandmother (Luna is still Guardian of the Seleneites) Artemis is fonder of her then her grandfather

Caspian is the warlock of whirlpools (cloud tower alumni yes I call male students warlocks wizards are the same) he took over as guardian of Andros since Aisha has her responsibilities as Queen.

Chantelle isn’t officially guardian fairy of Domino, technically Bloom still is (Queen Of Eraklyon remember) but she’s pretty much handed over all duties to her daughter

But they work together in that role since the title is shared between them although it’s not official

So Paladins are the best of the best really!

Next I’ll probably reintroduce the next gen kids and oc’s, draw some fairy forms and redesign’s, then maybe start on the story!
