Yeeeaaaa unfortunately that’s like,,, the definition of hyperfixation

Genuinely try to find a way to connect the two things btw! Helps me kinda focus better atleast!!

Like I had to memorize a LOT!!! of chemical formulas and reactions for minerals, and you bet your ass I brought my hyperfixations into it! Or for oceanography (before I had to drop out bc medical stuff) I went “oh yea this character would totally be this type of plate boundary because [insert reason]”

The thing they don’t warn you about is that

once you start school, the hyperfixation doesn’t just die.

But now in the middle of your organic chemistry class you won’t be able to focus because your brain is craving legos.

#my poor professors have to deal with me having hylerfixations too #literally all my assignments get COVERED in doodles of said hyperfixations #bc I’ll lowkey forget I’m doing school work and then I start doodling bc I’m thinking about my hyperfixation #I’m somehow consistently in the top of my classes???#even chemistry that I failed (I blame failing on my shitty health towards the end of the semester)#seriously tho out of over 100 students I was in the top 10 of that chemistry lecture class. and I failed… guys how-#oh god I gotta retake chemistry this semester #this is fine #I took Anatomy and Physiology and passed top of my class AND got a glowing letter of recommendation from that professor #aka one of the hardest classes you can take in that college w a tough grading professor #retaking chemistry with a professor notorious for easy grading and teaching good (unlike my prior chem prof) will be a breeze #(I’m so worried about retaking chemistry guys)#(if you can’t tell)#(please I just want to finish my bachelors degree in geology)#(well okay I want to get my doctorate but I can’t do that without my bachelors)#(this will be fineeeee)#someone take away my ability to type in tags for I have once again rambled on too much #spoofy rambles
