And the orchids not in bloom! My actual specimens on the left, examples of the blooms on the right.
Trisetella hoeijeri - the blooms on these guys are SO COOL
Haraella odorata
Cirrhopetalum thaiorum, one of the larger orchids I purchased today
Angraecum distichum
Cirrhopetalum tigridum, the largest orchid I bought today except for maybe the Maxillaria variabilis!
I still want at least one Restrepia, I desperately want Phymatidium tillandsoides, and I have fallen profoundly in love with Ionopsis utricularioides, but I have most of what I wanted!

There are multiple ways to make unique teas from different types of flowers, including:
Blooming tea
Also known as flowering tea, this tea is made by hand-sewn bundles of tea leaves and flowers that unfurl into artful shapes when brewed. You can buy blooming tea balls or make your own using edible flowers like jasmine, lilies, lavender, or squash blossoms. To brew, place the tea ball in a glass mug or teapot, pour hot water over it, and watch it unfurl.
Flower tea
This tea can be made by mixing raw flowers into tea leaves, like jasmine tea, or by mixing dried petals into tea leaves, like osmanthus tea. Rose tea is made only with dried flowers.
Hibiscus tea
You can make hibiscus tea with fresh flower petals. Rinse the petals, then steep them in boiling water for about 10 minutes. The tea will change color from red to yellow. You can add lemon juice to change the color to pink.
Lily tea
Made from dried lily flowers, lily tea has a refreshing taste with a smooth and sweet finish.
You can also make your own tea blends by combining different herbs. Some tea blends include:
Lemon grass, lemon verbena, and lemon balm
Pineapple sage with strawberry scented geranium
Anise hyssop and bee balm
Lavender combined with lemon balm

How do you make fabric from plants?
There are some basic steps to using natural fibers. First, the fibers are collected and cleaned, and then they are arranged so that they all point in the same direction. Twisting the fibers together makes a strong yarn. Finally, using tools or machines, people weave or knit the yarn together to make fabric.

So you can take flower stems and turn them into paper!!!
To make paper from flower stems, you need to harvest the stems, cut them into small pieces, cook them in a caustic solution to break down the fibers, then blend them into a pulp which can be used to form paper sheets on a screen; essentially, you're turning the plant fibers into a watery mash that can be molded into paper.
Key steps:
Choose the right flowers:
Select flowers with strong, fibrous stems like roses, sunflowers, or hibiscus.
Harvesting:
Cut the stems into manageable lengths.
Preparation:
Cleaning: Rinse off any dirt or debris.
Cutting: Chop the stems into small pieces, ideally around 1-2 inches long.
Cooking process:
Caustic solution: Prepare a solution of water and a cooking agent like soda ash or lye.
Simmering: Boil the stem pieces in the caustic solution for a period of time to break down the cellulose fibers.
Rinsing: Thoroughly rinse the cooked fibers to remove any chemicals.
Making pulp:
Blending: Blend the cooked fibers with water in a blender until a fine pulp is formed.
Papermaking:
Molding: Spread the pulp evenly onto a screen or mold to form a sheet.
Drying: Allow the paper sheet to dry completely.
Important considerations:
Safety:
Always handle caustic chemicals with care and follow proper safety procedures.
Experimentation:
Different types of flowers may produce varying paper qualities, so try different varieties to find the best results.
Mixing with other fibers:
To improve the strength and texture of your paper, you can mix flower stem pulp with recycled paper pulp.

Also, flowers can be used to make different forms of fertilizer!!!
Yes, flowers can be used to make fertilizer in a compost pile or bin. You can also make your own fertilizer by combining organic scraps like eggshells, fruit peels, and coffee grounds with leaves, sticks, and other debris. Over time, microbes will break down the pile into fertilizer that can be mixed into the soil.
Here are some other things to consider when fertilizing flowers:
Types of fertilizer
There are several types of fertilizer for flowers, including granular chemical, water soluble, and organic. Controlled-release fertilizers are also known as continuous feed, slow-release, or timed-release.
When to fertilize
You should stop fertilizing flowers in the fall when the plant is preparing to go dormant.
How to apply fertilizer
For established plantings, spread the fertilizer evenly around the plants and rake it into the soil. Water thoroughly after applying fertilizer.
Nitrogen types
The type of nitrogen used in fertilizer can affect plant growth. Ammoniacal nitrogen can cause plants to stretch and produce soft growth, while nitrate nitrogen can produce compact, firm growth.
N-P-K ratio
For most flowering plants, a balanced growth ratio is close to 1-2-1.

I want to see the orchids you bought, if that's alright? please and thank you!
I haven't received my own tiny orchids yet, but: a list of what was ordered, part 1!!! With reference pictures!
Zootrophion alvaroi: this is as open as the flowers get! Very cool! More brightly colored than many other options in the genus, although I was tempted by Zootrophion griffon based off of name alone.
Masdevallia excelsior: one of two Masdevallia species, very lovely! The idea was maximum orchid floral shape diversity.
Aerangis hyaloides: a Madagascan native! And a delight!
Trichoglottis pusilla: should be fragrant, like cherry chapstick or cherry cola! Will need to be very high up in the terrarium right under the lights.
Specklinia (Pleurothallis) grobyi: incredibly tiny! Highly recommended as a starter terrarium orchid! Cute little leaves!
Sigmatostalix (Oncidium) graminea: Not sure how it'll do in the terrarium, but I had to try!
Scaphosepalum ovulare: Again, this is a fully open flower! Like little eggs!
Restrepia dodsonii: A tiny, beautiful alien! Should do very well in a dart frog vivarium.
Restrepia brachypus: A tiny, beautiful, stripey alien! That cost under $6, I had to try it.
Porroglossum dreisei: These remind me intensely of the North American wildflower steer's heads, which I have never had the luck of seo, despite being wildly unrelated. I just love how the flowers look like little creechurs
More to follow, dear friends!

These are two new additions to my collection. I basically geeked out over compact orchids, and brought home a bunch of tiny darlings like this restrepia brachypus (left) and ornithocephalus suarezii (right).
The restrepia was in bloom when I got her, and is done for now.
The ornithocephalus is fixin’ to bloom, actually. He’s supposed to have a bloom about as large as himself. We’ll see.
As with the others, I’m keeping them in semi-hydroponic setup. I didn’t repot the restrepia, but I water her from below, and let a bit of water stay in the cup to keep the humidity high.
The ornithosephalus was packed in sphagnum , so I had to repot him. I’ll have to do that again actually, when the new “pots” arrive. I’ll be using hard plastic cups, and will melt holes in them for drainage.
