Twin Peaks is magic

I started watching it, didn't like it, and stood paying attention, then 25 minutes later, I was having the time of my life.

otherwise been doing a lot of circuit training with her, she's eager to get into this years race circuit, all good and well, she's bomb fast in a straight line, but i can attest to her inability to turn corners suick enough. I'm not sure if he's backtracking on his own insistence on a ground invasion because he knows it's doomed or if he's trying to repair his own tarnished image after literally spreading fake news and war mongering propaganda over the past week, but it's so pathetic

It's been obvious for a while that the Biden administration knows a ground invasion will go badly for Israel. At the very least, it will lead to a regional war and it might even unite all of West Asia against a common enemy - America.

You know, I've posted about how Israel isn't behaving strategically. They're just bombing Gaza without causing damage to or even slowing down Palestinian militia groups but America also has the same issue. It's trying to prevent a regional war by speaking to Iran while also asking Israel to slow down because the bombing of Gaza is losing Israel a lot of good will

However, America is also doing things like this

Does America support a ground invasion or not? It looks like they know it's a bad idea but they're willing to support Israel by sending soldiers (which would trigger a regional war) even though there are people in the government that know it's a terrible strategy

They're also easing sanctions in Venezuela which is a big deal because it means they need Venezuelan oil since it might be harder in the coming months to get oil from West Asia if there's a regional war. They did this when the Russia-Ukraine war started and they were trying to stop countries from buying Russian gas.

I saw someone say that there are different factions within the administration which would explain a lot of things, like why they keep going back forth between escalating and calling for restrait (without using the word restrait of course).

Personally, I think it's because internal polling likely shows that Americans aren't interested in another expensive war after Biden sent tens of billions to Ukraine

So, they can't exactly afford to go all in on the ground invasion of Gaza and the subsequent regional war that will follow. At least not without first trying to change the public's perception.

magic whumpee kidnapped and experimented on by whumper. whumpee has magic in their very blood, and whumper wants to know how it works. they purposefully antagonize the whumpee to test how their magic responds to emotions, particularly stress.

whumpee is poked and prodded with needles, their blood stolen from them. their body cut open so whumper can try to understand how the magic flows through their body.

whumper gives whumpee something/uses their magic to keep whumpee asleep, because whumper's primary objective is science, not torture. but when whumper realizes that whumpee's magic is dormant if they're unconscious, whumper has little to no qualms about experimenting on a conscious whumpee.

if whumper gets tired of whumpee's screaming, they simply cast a silence spell over them. then adds more restraints to keep whumpee from moving.

when whumper isn't experimenting on them, whumpee is kept in a cold, dark room, chained to the wall. they are given the bare minimum of sustenance, in the form of a small magic pill that keeps them fed. and that whumper forces down whumpee's throat.

then, one day, while whumpee is lying on the table, they think they hear someone. someone besides whumper. and whumper notices, too. whumper leaves whumpee on the table with their body cut open, to go deal with the intruders.

except whumper never returns. whumpee hears the fight somewhere in the building. they think they recognize caretaker's voice.

and then caretaker runs into the lab.

"gods," caretaker's tough exterior breaks down as they sob.

whumpee is too in shock to move their body, but their eyes meet caretaker's. caretaker has never seen such fear.

"i've got you baby," caretaker mutters, focusing all of their energy into healing the gaping wound. gentle yellow light shines from caretaker's palms, and with focus, the wound begins to stitch itself together.

whumpee whimpers, and caretaker says "i know, i know, I'm sorry baby, i'll make it as quick as i can," and one of their hands finds whumpee's own.

caretaker's magic isn't enough to fully heal the wound, but it's enough to get whumpee stable. caretaker sheds their cloak to cover whumpee's still naked body. they've seen whumpee's body before, but right now, whumpee deserves some privacy.

then, caretaker finally works on the restraits. one by one, caretaker yanks the leather straps off, and finally, finally, caretaker picks up whumpee from the table, heading straight for the exit.

"whumper's dead," team leader says, catching up with caretaker. "how's whumpee?"

"stable, for now."

- I am earning my stripes as a middle manager these days. I don't know if it's the restrait I'm showing when I really want to jump through the screen and kill members of our tech team for guaranteeing we wouldn't have problems with SAP(news flash- nothing is going right), or saying major problems are fixed(they're not), or assuring us we would be supported the entire way(also on the 11 o'clock broadcast: they're as consistentvas ghosts). But rest assured, my fuckscapacitor needs a rebuild.

- Thankfully, with all this change and things going on, I'm still sick. But I lost 10 lbs, am exhausted, and now have a great cough/sharp pain in the middle of my back to go with a lack of sleep. I mean, if you're gonna go, go big or go home, right?

- So yeah... the best part of all of this is that it's really easy to not hurt emotionally when you have to sleep on the couch because your child is sick and you want your child to snuggle someone but 3 is a hard fit in your bed. So 'those kinds of dreams' have been replaced by ones where I just go and buy a new couch. I mean, it's still a sexy thought, right?

9. What do you think are your biggest differences from/similarities to your source?

Mmn. Hard to say because Hazbin is so sparse, i can sort of say whats similar or different about accepted fanon of Vox but he only actually has a few minutes of screen time so far so a lot of it is conjecture. I think pretty much everything you see in the show could apply to me, as an exomemory way.

Theres a lot of differences between source and me Now though, even though I am very much like source in my memories. Basically mainly I have all the urges to do the bad sorts of things Vox does in canon, like controling people for power, but I have the morals and self restrait that now I would not do those things and let out my urges in healthier ways.

An example would be yes in my life as Vox i would say to sir pentious to kill himself. But now I would not say that to someones face but instead just to my friends where it does not hurt the person I am talking about

Yes

I am a cat Vox. I am not necessarily a cat Vox in my memories but I am one in headspace now. I suspect this is due to the system being cat kin when very young and this trait being retained across splits because Valentino in my system also has cat ears and a tail and several system members are cats or similar animals. The catness is retained when we mitosis. Meowtosis.

I also have a slightly darker color pallet. Idk why for that

i saw your asks about penelope and Eloise being a dom and I do think Eloise is more likely just because she refuses to roll over for a man. But who do you think would be the most likely?

I think this fandom has a really skewed idea of what it actually means if a character is a dom(me).

First, I've said this before and I'll say it again: neither Eloise nor Penelope have what it takes to be a domme. This means having mindset that what you're giving/taking is for your pleasure, and that other person is there to fulfill your needs. And the right sub will get off on this; it goes both ways. I've seen enough fanfiction in this fandom to notice that a lot of authors think slapping a gal in some latex, or giving a guy a bunch of gags/whips/restraits to play with makes them a dom. Which also feels inaccurate; it's less about the implements and more about the attitude. Anyway, there is absolutely nothing in book or show canon that suggests that El or Pen have any domme-like attitudes, and neither Phillip nor Colin seem like the type to cede control at all because they both seem to have suuuuper gendered ideas of what it means to be a man and I think they'd feel like it's unmasculine to let this happen.

To say that Eloise "refusing to roll over for a man" means she's a domme is such a misguided take. It basically means you're conflating "strong independent" women with being dommes and the ones who do "roll over for a man" are automatically subs, which is not accurate at all.
