So i went to eat at this restaurant beside our house, and even if it's just beside our place, it was my first time to eat there as i was kinda skeptical about it as i've read a lot of negative reviews in Zomato. But awhile ago, i was in the mood to just "f*ck-the-reviews-and-just-experienced-it-for-myself" kind of attitude. I went there and ordered unli steak with unli rice and unli drinks. In the past reviews, they said that staff there have poor service and the waiting time for your order and refill will take forever. But in my experience, it was not that bad. Staff greeted me as i went inside, they asked for my order right away when i gestured them to come. I asked them what is the waiting time for the steak and the waiter said that it will take 10 mins but it will be shorter for the refill so i said it's okay. My order arrived sooner than i expected, maybe after around 5mins and for the refill it just took them around 3 mins. Not bad. Another bad review was that food there are not fresh and not palatable. I took a bite of my steak and i say that it was average but it was not that bad. The gravy was nice though. So i had 1 refill of my drinks, 1 refill of rice and 2 refills of steak and i only paid 457.55 pesos. Not bad. Really not bad after all. Lesson: Don't rely on reviews. Experience it for yourself. Cafe Everest Restaurant Review

This restaurant review comes to us from the our wonderful Exec board:

SIR Exec decided to go to Cafe Everest, located in The Grove, for dinner.

We started off by splitting Mo-mo, which are Tibetan dumplings. They were thin dough filled with different vegetables and had a pumpkin-ey sauce. They were delicious, as was the rest of the food that evening. In attempt to be true food tourists, we selected items on the menu vouched for as "authentic" and promptly took photos of them. One dish, know on the menu as "The Complete Nepalese meal" featured rice, lentil soup, a very strong relish and marinated chicken. The waiter promptly showed us how to properly enjoy the meal- simply dump the soup on the rice and mix the whole thing together for an cornucopia of tastes. This worked well until the relish made itself known as a dominating force. Despite this factor, the overall meal was filling and a definite departure from traditional Wash U grub. The restaurant itself features soft chime music and dim lighting (as notable in the photo below!). There are various pieces of art framed by vibrant hanging scarves. SIR Exec gives Cafe Everest its stamp of approval and an honorary point for SIR Credit just to make it feel special. Check it out! You will not be disappointed!
