I love you...but. Dave had loved her yes but it had been changeable and tied with ribbons of condition. Five years of pretty but meaningless promises and half truths. Finally revealed to her in this insanely expensive little restaurant.

Getting up from the elegant little table scape and low flickering tea lights she studied him as she flagged the waiter for her jacket. But she didn't, instead she shrugged herself into her ancient leather jacket, the last gift her Jackie had ever given her and something that had lasted much longer than any of her relationships, save the one with jacket's previous owner.

Snapping off her copy of his apartment key from her keychain she tossed it onto the bone white linen table cloth. Turning on her heel she left him with the scent of wildflowers and honey with an icy menthol twinge as she fished out a Marlboro from her cigarette case. Without so much as looking back she popped the lapel tucked the cigarette into her mouth and let her long dark hair spill over the collar like an inky waterfall.

With a blink she was gone on the wind nothing left but her perfect red lipstick imprint on her wine glass and the key sitting in front of him. David Sullivan realized he'd made the biggest mistake of his life as he watched the one woman that loved him with her whole heart and he had crushed it. He almost got up to follow her but something shouted at him to stop. He couldn't fix this. She was off to become some other man's dream come true all because he couldn't love her.

£8m Bangor Premier Inn brings 35 hotel jobs to Co Down seaside town

Hotel giant Premier Inn has opened up its latest Northern Ireland hotel in Bangor in an £8m investment creating 35 jobs.

The 85-bedroomed hotel is the eighth Premier Inn venue here.

Its latest opening is in Castle Park Avenue, metres from Bangor Castle and within walking distance of Bangor Marina and the town centre.

A spokesman for Premier Inn said it marked an £8m investment by parent company Whitbread and contractor Conway Group.

And the opening is the latest boost for the town.

In May Ards and North Down Borough Council signed a £50m agreement with Bangor Marine for work on a mixed-use redevelopment of Queen's Parade - a long-awaited project.

And the town has also secured £60m from the Belfast Region City Deal for the regeneration of a two-mile stretch of the coastline from Pickie to Ballymacormick Point. Bill Keery, DUP mayor of Ards and North Down, welcomed the opening. "It will make a very significant contribution to the accommodation offering locally and is much needed as we begin to explore other exciting opportunities for the town that will attract more visitors over the next five years," he said.

Kevin Murray, head of acquisitions for Premier Inn in Ireland and northern England, said: "The hotel is right where our customers will want us to be, with the transport connections and accessible parking they expect from Premier Inn, and features our latest specification bedrooms and family-friendly in-house restaurant.

"It's an excellent showcase for the quality of our hotels and we're expecting it will be popular with leisure and business guests year-round."

Kevin McGurgan, construction director for Conway Group, which is based in Magerhafelt, said: "We are delighted to have successfully developed yet another high-quality Premier Inn Hotel, to add to our commercial investment portfolio.

"The new hotel in Bangor is the latest scheme which we have developed in conjunction with Whitbread, having previously built and developed new Premier Inn Hotel accommodation in Lisburn, Crescent Link/Altnagelvin, Carrickfergus and Waring Street, Belfast."

Whitbread has announced plans to extend Premier Inn from 76,000 rooms to 110,000 in the UK and Ireland. It's already planning 2,500 Premier Inn rooms in Dublin.

Mr McGurgan said he hoped the company would be involved in the Premier Inn expansion programme in the UK and Ireland.

The Department for Communities announced in May that Bangor Marine had been appointed to carry out the long-awaited revamp of Queen's Parade.

Bangor Marine, a joint venture of Karl Group and Farrans, plans a public area including events space, a hotel, cafes, homes and office space.

Development of the area has been discussed since around 1997.

A 12-week period of consultation is now being held.

Todd Architects are the designers behind the new waterfront redevelopment, while celebrity designer Wayne Hemingway is an advisor on the project.

Aran Blackbourne, director of Karl Group, told the Belfast Telegraph that Mr Hemingway was bringing "great ideas" to the project.

Rockwell and Whitbread celebrate milestone for 400-bedroom hotel at Westferry, London

Leading London-based property developer, Rockwell, together with Whitbread, has celebrated a landmark moment as the UK’s tallest Premier Inn hotel officially topped out.

Located adjacent to Westferry DLR station, the £151m project, comprising a 400-bedroom hotel and 68 new homes, will now mark Westferry as a destination in its own right, rejuvenating a formerly derelict site into a high quality mixed-use scheme just moments from Canary Wharf.

Designed by world-renowned architects, Simpson Haugh, and constructed by John Sisk & Son, the 30-storey mixed-use scheme, which is set for completion in Q3 2022, will also include a restaurant, café, gym facilities and a landscaped pocket park, alongside communal gardens for new residents.

The creation of new jobs has been fundamental throughout; in the early stages of the development, Rockwell partnered with the London Training Centre to deliver hospitality skills training and qualifications to residents of Tower Hamlets. Rockwell’s first 30 graduates, all women from the Westferry area, have now found employment having completed an intensive two-month training programme and gaining Level 2 qualifications in a range of different skillsets.

Upon completion, the development will create many more hotel and hospitality job opportunities for individuals living in Tower Hamlets and many more graduates from developer Rockwell’s Hospitality Skills Programme.

Despite initial setbacks caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the construction of this development has continued on schedule whilst being respectful of the UK Government’s guidance and social distancing measures.

Donal Mulryan, Founder of Rockwell commented: “This is a pivotal moment for the development and for Rockwell. I am immensely proud of the entire project team who have come together to deliver this outstanding development on time despite difficulties faced through multiple lockdowns.

At 400 bedrooms, Premier Inn Westferry will be the largest Premier Inn hotel in Greater London (excluding airport sites) and will feature 80 of Premier Inn’s enhanced Premier Plus bedrooms.

John Sisk & Son is the contractor for the development which is scheduled for completion in mid 2022.
