This won the recent poll, so I will delight you with a bit more lore and worldbuilding... based on the old poll.
Luishreya TL;DR:
War Queen Luishreya is a balding green-haired, brown-skinned amputee and warrior who not only led at least 11 troops, but also became queen of a kingdom and gained the attention of at least two gods. By the power of both knowledge and wisdom, she led the nation of Verforlea for a long time and left behind three heirs.
Political background TL;DR:
The Endless Wars between multiple nations and city-states during Luishreya's time established the nation of Verforlea. With no suitable heirs to follow into her grand footsteps, Verforlea eventually became susceptible to enemies. Upon its fall, the Emerald Kingdom arose.
Thanks to its predecessor's prior wealth, the Emerald Kingdom became very rich and powerful, but it also got cocky and aggressive towards other nations. The Platinum Fort eventually got fed up of its antics and voiced out their opposition to the kingdom's predatory practices. Soon, a war sparked, covering the real reason why using the debate of alchemy VS magic. Due to this, they began seeking allies and sympathizers to their plight. To protect their maritime trade and tourism industries, the Damasqus Network, which lay between the two, decided to hold a neutral stance and opted to offer hospitals and clinics for wounded soldiers on both sides.
For a time, the biggest question was what the Kingdom of Prisma, the floating nation of Crystallistes, and the city-state of Kaleidopolis will do... until former Prismatic princesses and sisters Head Mage Grace and Queen Charity decided they were going to side with the Platinum Fort.
At the present time of Liberatio, the situation had been at a standstill, both sides silent but agitated, awaiting each other's next moves.

Unlock more lore and worldbuilding by rearranging the following statements in a meaningful manner:
Insightful Reflections - Gentle is the darkness where the dust settles, and great is the wisdom you have earned.
Ephemeral Journeys - Just as everything has its start and its end, it also has a median where one must make crucial decisions.
Reinvigorated Hopes - Rejoice in your regenesis, and be reborn anew as the cycle of time restarts.
Breathtaking Discoveries - Wide is the world that awaits you, and boundless is the knowledge under the light.
Peaceful Reveries - Trust in the curtain call of time; permit the cycle to reach another graceful end.

30+ Sims4Ever Save File
30+ Sims4Ever is a group of adults aged 30 and up. The group was created back in May at the request of a Redditor. The group has taken off since then with 165 members with the anticipation of more leading up to the drop of our save file.
We are looking to release 4 worlds as early as December 1st and as late as December 31st:
Willow Creek
Magnolia Promenade
Newcrest
San Sequoia
Willow Creek (Heavily inspired by Georgia)
Lore:
The biggest industry left in Willow Creek is tourism, and even that is beginning to fade. Desperate to revitalise the city, the mayor relaxes several local restrictions to allow more fishing, and restart the previously decommissioned riverboats. Meanwhile, he heavily advertises to the movie industry, leading to a surge in movie tourism after a major period drama is filmed there. Overall, the plan works, and Willow Creek begins to distinguish itself as a destination, but the costs are high. The historic downtown area is cleaned up but also gentrified, and many workers can’t afford to live nearby, being pushed to the outskirts of Newcrest. The fishing and riverboats have brought in tourists but also gangs of environmental protesters, angry at the pollution and habitat destruction. But hey, the money has been good, and construction on the mayor’s new estate has finally finished.
Newcrest - 90's Time Capsule (Heavily inspired by Maine)
Lore:
Newcrest has a reputation as a quiet bedroom community. The schools in the area are some of the best in the country for beginning and intermediate education. One such school is Newcrest Charter, a well-funded private school. The reputation is glossy on the outside but there are cracks. The police chief and Charter administrator have a deal to keep both their kids out of trouble - one with the law and one with their grades.
Mayor Azalea Simmons is oblivious to this scheme, and likely any others in the world. Unlike her surrounding politicians, Azalea doesn’t get wrapped up in legislating mumbo jumbo, she’s too busy keeping Newcrest affordable, and pleasant to live in. Which in her mind means - keeping it 1996 forever.
Magnolia Promenade (Heavily mixed with Georgia & Maine)
Lore:
Many of the buildings in Magnolia Promenade are old. Once historic structures like schools, warehouses, and homes, many have been converted into businesses. Maerina Walsh owns one such business in the prestigious shopping district - a quaint bed and breakfast. She has a reputation as an absolute nightmare of a boss. It's said to be lucky if she fires you on the first day, as she punishes others with impossible or gruelingly menial tasks. There is a longstanding rumor among locals that the ghost of an employee she once locked in the basement now haunts the establishment, though older residents say the ghost dates back to the original building. Maerina is well aware of the rumors but hasn’t disputed them, because as many people as they scare off, they also attract potential customers looking to catch a sight of the ghost.
San Sequoia (Heavily inspired by San Francisco)
Lore:
Ricky Pyler has grown San Sequoia into a major contender in the pharmaceutical and medical fields. Many large companies, production facilities, and conventions have relocated to the city, bringing a boom to the economy. Pharmaceutical companies have manipulated development deals, health information, and begun to illegally dump their waste in the river that runs downstream to Willow Creek. Zara Marquez, has been a nurse in San Sequoia for decades. She’s noticed an uptick in certain illnesses that are symptoms of this pollution which has brought her to run for Mayor herself. Another campaign opponent comes onto the scene in the form of Caleb Vargas - a rather young man from the business sector. Nobody really knows who he is, but he is extremely and strangely well funded. In reality he’s starting to bribe and bankroll many of Ricky’s old contacts with the intention of using them for his own devices
The contributors to this save file are as follows:

*More contributors will be added to this in the coming months as we update as we have left lots open for monthly challenges to our discord memebrs. If you are over the age of 30 and would like to be apart of our save file please join our discord server here: https://discord.gg/3552rQ7r
Important to note:
As we move closer to the deadline for the release of the save file a release of which simmers worked on which lot will be released
A list of all expansions, game, stuff and kit packs will be released advising what was used for the save file. There are no pack restrictions for contributors
All townies will have base game outfits so that no single townie is walking around partially naked
All townies have been assigned careers, children have grades and everyone has a relationship with their current houehold and others
Ghosts will be available in game
Townies will be added to clubs
Newcrest is a 90's time capsule
All lots that have additional structures were built in mind that if the structure differed from the lot type it would not impact the overall gameplay. (this means that a lot set as a Resturant with a resturant and movie theatre does not impact the overall function of the lot)
All lots have been game play tested
There will be a tool mod version of this game
Any simmers who are not comfortable downloading a tray file or those playing on console will be able to follow a legend to download from the gallery to upload lots and families
What to Expect in the coming months:
As we move closer to deadlines we will have more members submit. From the time members submit the lot is play tested by a second person to ensure that everything functions correctly and the lot has met minimum requirements. Once that is completed we have the file upload to the save.
Streetview pictures
Pictures of the lots
Picture and bio of the contributors
Lot details - Member, traits and pictures
World map overview filled in
Townie pictures and global lore
A list of all packs used in the save file

I see people saying a lot "Oh, X game is too hard even on Easy" and then when they get pushback responding "I just suck at video games". And I don't think that's a good attitude to have(and the people pushing back are usually severely unhelpful). Yes, there's some games that are poorly balanced, and some people with physical or cognitive issues that make gaming much harder. But that's not what's going on in the majority of cases.
The thing is, playing video games is a skill. Gaming in general, each genre, and any individual game, all are skills. And like any skill, they can be trained. So, the key question if someone thinks they're bad at a game is, "how do we get better at this skill?" And I can't answer that for every game, but here's a basic start:
Are you fluent with all abilities? Even the one that doesn't seem to do anything? Often there's something(a boosting ability, something defensive, or something that gives information) that players can ignore early on but is vital for later portions of the game.
Pay attention to the whole experience. Games are very busy these days, and will use things like audio cues, enemy animations, or popups in the corner of the screen to tell you things. Make sure you're noticing all of that.
Manage resources well. This includes things like using healthpacks in RPGs instead of hording them and also learning when not to use them because you're near an auto heal. But also resources like your time and attention, physical space on the map, cooldowns on abilities, etc. Learn what to spend liberally and what to keep in reserve for an emergency.
Learn what is effective where. Pokemon has a type chart, FPS games have weapons with effective ranges, citybuilders yell at you for putting the coal plant in a tourism district. Learn the rules, and the resources from the previous step will be much more effective.
So how do you learn this for the game you're having trouble with? After all, if you could figure this out easily, you wouldn't be having trouble. The thing is, most of this stuff is too basic for online guides to spell out. And watching someone else's playthrough on YT/Twitch will show you what they're doing, but not why. The ideal is to have a friend who's good at the game watch you play and then yell about it, but that's not always feasible.
My trick? Restart the game, play through again on a higher difficulty. "But I'm getting my ass kicked on easy, why would normal be any better?" Thing is, you're probably getting your ass kicked BECAUSE you're on easy. You were able to make it to the midgame without developing basic skills because there was no challenge, and now the game is demanding you use skills you don't even know exist. But you have at least learned some of the game, so restart, and play through with more knowledge. Focus on beating the early portions of the game BETTER than you did your first time through, and you might be surprised how much easier the later portions are when you get there.
And don't forget that gaming is supposed to be fun. If you're not having fun, it's fine to stop. But also, developers put a lot of time into the game thinking that it would be fun*. If you're not having fun, it's also fine to ask what the designers were expecting you to do instead to make it fun.
*Gacha games need not apply

WTNV quick rundown - 126 - A Door Ajar, Part 3
This episode is co-written by Brie Williams and features the voice of Meg Bashwiner as Deb.
Read the rest here!
Always keep your eyes closed during a storm. Otherwise, your soul will get all wet and mildewy. Welcome to Night Vale.
The phantom ocean swept onto town and destroyed the entirity of Old Town NV. The floor victims are now living with host families, including the sailors from before who were given their own permenant housing and are excellant hosts. Nothing can be seen except the controversial roundabout (which caused weird effects when people attempted to yse it) which is glowing softly under the water.
All the marine biologists have gone missing, which the tourism board is delighted by as it means they can restart their project. They are eventually found in the scrub lands, well parts of them are.
Carlos admitted something was wrong but didn't want to talk about it, so Cecil has signed them up for couples councilling to both help Carlos share and to help himself with his paranoid and 'obsessing'.
The blobs of jelly the tourism board had in a tank have come together to make one giant blob of jelly which causes the tourism board to all flee. They abandon their plans for the expansion project and it's decided to seal the cube away so it doesn't summon a second phantom ocean.
Weather: “Clockwork Family” by Dan Warren
During the counselling session, Carlos reveals that he has seen a phantom ocean like this before and it had a terrible effect on him. Because of that he needed some space to process what was happening again and promises if he ever had a problem with Cecil or their relationship he would say so. Cecil is not happy with this and wants to know exactly what happened before. He eventually is made to understand that couples are allowed some secrets which doesn't mean anything about love or trust. That sometimes Carlos and even Cecil himself will need space to process and think away from the other and that Carlos may never want to talk about the phantom ocean.
Deb says they've discontinued eyeball donations and the entire DMV due to complaints about what sharing a consciousness entails for many.
When he was in 8th grade (what year? he doesn't remember. what did he look like then? he doesn't know) Cecil says he accidentally revealed to everyone during truth or dare that he was afraid of mirrors and had a crush on someone in the room (who? he doesn't remember. who was even there? no idea).
The tourism board is going to renovate Old Town NV.
Carlos just texted. “Come home now and I will do the opposite of push you away.” Well, maybe what I’m trying to say is: I've been on the air too long. I really should be getting home, like right now. Stay tuned next for bubblewrap being popped by rolling pins, meant to simulate the explosion of fireworks. Goodnight, Night Vale. Goodnight.
Proverb: Pick a company and invest all your money in it. The absolute worst that could happen is that you’ll lose every cent and it would be terrifying and life-changing, so give it a shot.a

Monday round-up:
My digestive system is still a mess. While the shooting pain that registered about a 9 out of 10 is gone, I'm still full of gas and I'm seriously sore. The incision looks good, and I'm not completely black and blue. He sent the piece of bowel he took for a biopsy, so I'll find out this week if there are any surprises. (Fingers crossed).
I got a letter of recommendation from my departing group supervisor and lemme say I kinda felt seen, as an employee, for the first time. Maybe, just maybe I'm a bit more fire than smoke...
LinkedIn is a trip, isn't it? I'm really new to the world of recruiters and theyre...interesting.
Now lemme say: I still have a job, one that pays really well and I enjoy. But I have 3 quarters left in school for my BA, and it's time to start looking to put what will be a degree plus certifications to good use. Plus, we have no certain restart date, so I'm not counting on anything.
That is, except bills.
Speaking of which, the final bill on the mini-split system for install? $6500.
We are just like, oh I dunno, like 2000 bucks over budget. But, the good news is that we bought it last year so we can claim the credit on last year's taxes, and so that kicks back the over budget and then some. It's just the timing of all of this is poor(at best).
It's always something, isn't it?
My mom is doing a Swedish death clean, so my garage is full of stuff that she didn't want to toss but thought I might like, which I appreciate. I mean:
And lots of great books with dog ears and familiar handwriting from missed and well-loved ancestors. So that's my new spring project...
So i need to rant: today is Kurt Cobains birthday, and I live right next to his hometown. The display of 'love' for him today by people who would have scorned him while he was alive was sickening. The only reason why they are embracing him is because of tourism. These are the same people whom Kurt mocked in "In bloom", and they still sing along not getting that they are the joke. And while I still miss Kurt's music, I get why he left that Era of Aberdeen and his family behind.
Anyway, you all ok? Sorry for trying to die, I'm not going to make it a 'practice makes perfect' situation. These guts are just dumb.
Joyeux mardi gras tomorrow, and much love.

I do get the bind that BioWare's marketing is probably in right now - honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if, given the reception to Andromeda and Anthem, their last two games, some pencilpusher at EA is looking over BioWare's shoulder, warning them that if their next game doesn't sell well, EA might start looking to restructure the company. And with how DA4 has been stopped and restarted a couple of times now, I get banking on the aspect that is 100% firm set in stone as a marketing aspect.
I even get not wanting to put things that are more specific in the marketing - I remember some of the Inquisition pre-release material featuring Varric remarking that he's being "outflexed by the ladies once again," and building up some big choice in Crestwood that didn't make it into the final game, which definitely seems to be a detriment to the released product as a result of knowing that there was more planned that didn't make it.
My issue is that... Okay, at this point, people who respond positively to Solas have been hooked on this game. They've honestly probably been hooked since the initial teaser trailer, and, sure, you want to make sure that aspect of the hype machine stays oiled and lubricated and all those other awkward metaphors.
But shouldn't SOME effort also be put in towards trying to hook in the people who AREN'T drawn in by Solas? Like being in Tevinter is expected - that was where the map in the final scene of Trespasser was, so, for example, do a trailer from the perspective of a tourism ad of Tevinter - show off the scenery, talk up the history, present the splendor... And then undercut it by presenting the horrors of slavery and the depravity of the blood magic. Show us elements of the game that are not centered on this one character.
Like... Dragon Age Absolution made me FAR more excited for DA4 than any of the teaser trailers have, precisely BECAUSE it had nothing to do with Solas, instead managing to show a place we the audience have never been, exploring Tevinter, and teasing a particular antagonist who was unexpected to hear from again. THAT got me hyped for returning to this setting, and particularly after my recent run through Inquisition left me screaming in frustration.
I get banking on the feature that they know will be unchanging regardless of how things in production shift. But it's kind of a double-edged sword - sure, the people who like the character, who are invested in him, they're gonna eat that up. But it does create a sense of... anti-hype, for want of a better term, for those of us who don't care about him, aren't interested in his story.
