Some facts about Cassie René Bernall 💙

Her nickname from her parents, Misty and Brad Bernall was “Bunny Rabbit”

She loved rock climbing at Breckinridge

Her favorite movie was the 1995 War/Action movie Braveheart

She tried out the Goth scene for a bit

She was struggling with depression, and homocidal thoughts

She experimented with drugs, and alcohol

When she was 15, her mother found notes of her, Cassie, and a friend making plans to kill her parents. Cassie was then sent to a private school, and was no longer allowed to talk to that friend. After that, Cassie spiraled into depression, and wrote poems about suicide.

On April 20th, day of her death, it’s believed that she was asked if she believed in God, which ultimately lead to her being killed for responding with “Yes.” This is not true. It was Valeen Schnurr who was actually asked about God.

What actually happened to her during her last moments was, Eric walked over to the desk she was hiding under next to Freshman Emily Wyant; pointing the gun at Cassie, and taunting “Peek-a-boo!” before shooting Cassie.
