So we don’t know we just had this little character in our head which made a fucked up little art project and we need to remember it. Gonna post it because why not, they are kind tma so yeah. (These descriptions are bad and rudimentary at best be warned)
The twisting halls-
Long halls of doors which branch off into spirals it has striped blue/white pink/yellow wallpaper
The dark room-
Painted with the blackest black with red coloured lantern and figures in the room
The moon pool-
Liminal space with repeating columns with snaking pools of glass and cyan light.
The room of isolation-
It is cold just a chair and glass all around however behind the glass is translucent white glass and the appearance of talking figures in the distance
Immensity-
Below is lit blue glass which goes continuously down, the surface of which looks like the ripples of the sea. Over head is wide and open, full of titan statues, forced perspective and orbiting planets.
The moon chamber-
Mirrors used to reflect any moon light down to a grasping stone hand
Impossible stairs-
A room of Escher like staircases most defying gravity and leading nowhere. Separate but similar to is large barely climbable blocks making the wanderer feel small
The liminal section-
A mash between different corridors with blue sky painted behind windows, massive arch ways and staircases
The watched library-
A place filled with bookcases which arch to the ceiling packed with books of gibberish. Like the library of babble however some parts of the books have diagrams, strange number systems, characters from made up languages and short spouts of paranoia, ideas about being so close to knowing and endlessly being watched. There is a throne of green in there and the walls are littered with all kinds of eyes.
The trinket room-
Filled with all kinds of curious and impossible mathematical objects
The fractal rooms-
A collection of rooms where the floor is large detailed carving of such things as trionskies triangle, the lichen berg pattern and the Mandelbrot set.
The decay room-
Looks dusty old beige, fungi blooming. There is a withered looking sofa
The proximal room-
You climb up through a trap door, which when put down is almost unnoticeable. It is like a classroom, the clock does not tick, the computers time does not change and where all doors and windows should be there is a recession but the wall is smoothed over.
The static room-
An animatronic model slums across a desk sluggishly moving. A coffee cup filled with a psychedelic looking pattern sits before the figure. In front of the figure the only light comes from many old tv screens which are filled with colourful static, bars of colour or neon smiling face with spiralling eyes.
The meat shop-
A butcher’s shop where you see candy coloured gore, a selection of goods sit on plates on display they are caked in resin made piles representing dripping colourful gore. Some are pink others neon blue. a model stands massive cleverer mid-swing the model of the muscular butcher who has too many muscles and extra parts.
The neglected mall-
A series of ruined shops situated in a concreted looking space devoid of customers
The puppets room-
With a massive chessboard floor , chess pieces, two large marionette figures playing while being controlled by a gargantuan spider puppet. Smaller model spiders and webs are scattered about the room as well.
The faceless auditorium-
A theatre stage with rows of seats slanting up and around. Model of performers’ on the stage mid act, audience members everywhere even up in the gods.
Most if not all audiences members have smooth blankness where a face should be, some may or maybe only some performers only have mouths. All performers have masks. The clothing is fancy in style.
The altar-
It’s hard to say how or why you’d believe so but this place was obviously of worship specifically for the spiral. The only room that seems to have directly worship in this place the others all seem like art installations or appreciation of the other factors of fear it was strange to see.

Sorry if you've already posted it somewhere and I'm just not seeing, but is there any chance you could give a rough price range for your stall? I live near Stirling atm and am poor as hell but would LOVE to come check you out some time and having an idea of what I can afford would be really helpful!
Oh sure! Jewellery ranges from £2 (studs) through £15 (really fancy chokers) with most being £4-7
Keychains and magnets etc are also in the approximate £5 range
There are some heart shaped button badges for £2, and stickers for £1-2
The most expensive item is a £40 resin rainbow storage tower (it has 900g resin in it which cost like £20 by itself so you know) but under that the most expensive thing is £25 for a resin chess set and £15 for these guys
Almost everything is under £10 and there's a lot of stuff under a fiver :)
hope that helps!

Find the original ivory chess piece…..?
I was handed three tiny bits from an antique chess set awhile ago and asked to “make another one”
Which led to a couple weeks of research, an order of silicone mould / resin casting kit from England - @ €120 - some ugly failed experiments ……
And
I did it.
A whole new trick to add to the sack - and I’m excited to learn more.

I am pleased I got SOME viable 3d prints BC it made the despair shallower but I should have got way more. not much to be done but fuck about with different settings and parameters, I also bought loads more of the Stuff you need to do it safely like filter papers, more iso alcohol, an interim curing light BC the one I spent $200 and barely used is fucked (🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻), bought some different plant based resin (not going to be inhaling this one either but I daresay it's mildly less evil) and I didn't even bother asking ana and Ben to go thirdsies on it BC they haven't used the printer once after buying it lol so even I couldn't pretend they owed me anything 😔
there may be a new position opening at chess site that I would be a good fit for I think and I think it would add 550 dollars to my current monthly salary
speaking of chess job I have been gaining clout in the responding to emails arena and am now being asked to train the new guy
Ben is off the next two days BC he's driving Clare to the airport at 4am on Wednesday which will be nice
Clare came over and we dressed her cat guy (as opposed to a catboy 😳) in some of my Barbie clothes

Tacenda
Summary: Loceit playing chess gets a little umcomfy
TW: None!
Characters: Janus (Deceit) Sanders | Logan (logic) Sanders
A/N: I heard a fun word a decided to make a fanfiction. Can ya blame me?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tacenda -
(Noun) Something not to be spoken about or better left unsaid
Root - Tacit
----
Logan was never one to interact with the others beyond due societal call. He would show up to dinner, being cordial and continuing conversation, yet never seemed to hold interest in another small talk conversation. It was another reminder of how they would listen only when they asked.
Thusly, he found it rather strange when a note appeared at the door to his room. It was in a black envelope, and inside was a black paper with gilded corners and gold flowing handwriting inviting him to a game of chess in the library. He knew it was deceit making the offer, only Roman was this pompous with delivery and his handwriting wasn't nearly this neat. Deceit knew how to play chess? That's .. surprising. Logan decided he might ask where Deceit- Janus learned.
Logan went back inside his room and placed the note on the desk. It asked to meet at 8:00pm. Normally, that would be considered an unheard of hour of the night but it was for a reason. It had to be after all. As far Logan knew the embodiment of self-preservation wasn't about to put himself out too far. So, he worked at his desk until it was about 7:55. He had a choice to make.
It was either see Deceit's offer through or work alone until the sun peaks through. Fine. It's not as though Sides can die, only be minorly inconvenienced.
He walked through the mindscape to the library, a grand oak behind which hid hundreds of books that Thomas had read or almost made. He pushed open the door to see the usually cold fire place bright with a roaring flame. Deceit sat in one of two high backed, cushy chairs. Between them was a chess board that appeared to be resin covered marble.
"So, you took my offer?" Deceit mused from his chair, not even glancing up at Logan.
"I.. didn't realize you knew how to play chess." Logan said tentatively
"So what if I do?"
"It wouldn't be unheard of, in theory." Logan walked to the chairs to sit down. Deceit was staring at the bridge of Logan's nose.
"Hm. Well, choose your colour."
"White, thank you."
Janus barely flicked his wrist as chess pieces moved themselves onto the board. All of them looked to be intricately carved quartz and smoky quartz dipped in resin to preserve their luster. Logan looked over the pieces, unsure of what to do.
"Lovely set you have, De- Janus." Logan said fumbling over his tounge
"Mhm. White plays first, yes?" Logan could see a grimace behind Janus' slit eye.
"Correct. Pawn to.. B4." Logan obliged by the standard set and flicked his finger to inch the pawn forward.
"Polish opening, interesting. Pawn to F5."
"Dutch defense? I believe they were, historically speaking, on well terms."
"Yes well, best not to make enemies of those geographically close?" Janus made eye contact with Logan for the first time in thier conversation.
"In times of war it could prove a poor choice. Why the observation?" Logan said, leaning in. "Pawn to G3"
"An idle thought, nothing more. Pawn to G5"
"I have yet to see you make a purposely uncalculated move." Logan started, trying to dig just deeper "Why start now? Bishop to H3."
"I'm sure you'd like to think you've figured out my inner working." Janus rolled his eyes "But that's far beyond you and a 1,300 year old game. Pawn to G4."
"1,400 actually. Did I misread your invitation tonight? It appeared purposeful" Logan said. This had become it's own game, did Janus want that? "Bishop takes Pawn G4."
"Could you put it past a Disney villain to put some flair into their work? Besides, you seem to understand." Janus said smirking. This is the game he meant. Not the board but a game of conversation. "Pawn takes Bishop G4."
"Are you a villain? You always seem to insist otherwise." Logan put a hand to his mouth to think "Pawn to F3"
"Perhaps the stereotypes of a long dead generations are constrictive. Is it surprising that neither of us really.. fit"
"Are you insinuating that I, to adhere to your rhetoric, abandon those who enforce the 'ancient stereotypes'?"
"Would you be cross if I did? After all, what could I gain from it, that is, if you insist every move I make in calculated well in advance." Janus gave a half smile "Bishop to H6"
"You gain an ally, a source of intellect on your 'enemy', a numerical advantage.." Logan curt himself off slowly "I don't know why you wouldn't consider it at the very least."
"You seem to insist I have. How would one act upon it?" Janus rested his chin on the back of his hand.
"By extending a 'casual' invitation to harmless game. Luring them in to a conversation of subtext and subconsciously introducing the idea, feigning a self-made decision." Logan crossed his arms in triumph. "A common tactic used by cults, in fact."
"So, I'm a shepherd then? Leading a flock of brainwashed sheep to my evil plans. I suppose I have the crook for it." Janus gazed in the hearth seeming to consider Logan's words.
"Pawn to B5." It was an offense, a strike. Just ride out the game now. It would be rude to leave.
"A tone shift? Whyever might that happen?" Janus lifted his head and cocked it slightly.
"Perhaps the impression of offence is reason enough." Logan looked down to the right arm of the chair, hand sewn patch repairing on old rip.
"Well, it would be an incorrect impression. After all, civility had been maintained." Janus seemed to try a warmly nervous smile.. it almost looked real. "Pawn to D5"
"I see. You seem to enjoy these Tacendas. You've used them often on this conversation alone." Logan remarked
"A.. Tacenda?"
"Yes. Here, you might find them useful." Logan handed Janus a stack of cards
Janus flipped over the card with the key word on the front. "I see. How curious."
Logan glanced to his watch. 11:30? He was so behind. "I need to leave. This was.. enjoyable though."
"It can become a scheduled event. Saturdays?"
"Sounds acceptable." Logan walked out with a final nod to Janus.
How peculiar.

Decorative/collectable chess sets
There is a surprisingly large demand for these high quality and unique chess sets although they aren't actually used to play the game and many of them are strictly used as display pieces because there almost like works of art in themselves. The prices for them range from £40 to upwards of £2000+. One of the reasons behind the high price point for these is that their made with expensive materials like marble and bronze along with some expensive wood and sometimes even gold and silver plating. That being said, sometimes pieces are a made from resin or blown/ molded glass.
I think the overall concept of these boards are cool and creative. I like some of the sets especially the ones that redesign the pieces to be intricate miniature models linked to themes like the Romans or ancient Egyptians however there are some sets that take a more abstract route when it comes to the look of pieces which isn't really my thing.
(examples of some more abstract boards:)
(some sets that are on the market:)

THE RESIN OBSESSION CONTINUES!!!
So, this weekend I really needed to just have fun because life is STRESSFUL, and currently my happy place is making crafts with Dimension 20 playing in the background.
I decided to make some things for my friends!! Because I love hand making people little trinkets!! There’s a dog tag for my friend’s adorable little goofball of a puppy, Daisy, and a heart keychain for another friend!
While making these, I started digging around in the rest of my resin stuff and remembered MY PARENTS GOT ME A MOLD SET FOR A CHESSBOARD AND CHESS PIECES SEVERAL CHRISTMASES AGO!!!
I got really really excited and just HAD to experiment with making some pawns!!
And today I had so much time on my hands and wanted to take this chance to have fun because everything’s been so consistently busy and crazy. I have some pressed flowers and cute bookmark molds, so of course because I’ve started reading again I HAD to make a bookmark!
And I have another friend who I showed the pawn to, and she went absolutely crazy for him. Kept saying that he’s just a little guy and basically kept him as an emotional support fidget. So I made her her own little pawn in one of her favorite colors!
And after showing my friends the bookmark I made, one of them was so in love with it I made her her own! So total number of resin projects has increased quite a bit! I honestly couldn’t be happier with how all the ones from today came out. I’m having so much fun and I love that for me.
