FALL EQUINOX 2020 I CHING READINGā ā 28 = DA GUO ā¢ GREATNESS IN EXCESSā ā Keywords: too much, overload, critical mass, taking a stand, setting priorities, making choicesā ā Da Guo describes an exceptional time. Circumstances have reached a point of crisis. You face great pressure from all directions. You must make a transition to a new situation without delay. Nevertheless, you cannot force matters. A sudden movement of the ridgepole under great stress will snap it, bringing the whole roof crashing down. In the same way, the stresses and strains fo the situation cannot be relieved by rash action.ā ā Instead, you must carefully consider the underlying causes of the crisis that you now find yourself in. There is "too much" in the situation, but you need to figure out what that "too much" is. A time of greatness in excess calls for a corresponding greatness in your character. ā ā When the lake floods and rises over the trees, it is time to take extraordinary measures. This is no time for panic or despair. It is time to stop and take the larger view. What are your values? who and what is most important to you? What relationships are most central to your happiness? What is most worthy of your time and attention?ā ā You should regard the current crisis as an opportunity to clarify your values, straighten out your priorities, and set yourself on the right path. ā ā Life is short.ā ā Six at the top (moving line)ā ā The message of this line is simple: You are in over your head, but it is not your fault. You have courage and you wish to achieve your goals no matter what happens. If your goals are worthwhile, this is commendable. Nevertheless you are in great danger, and the sacrifices that it will take to go forward may be enormous. If you are truly called to do good, no one has the right to judge you. Some things are worth any sacrifice, including life itself.ā ā #FallEquinoxā #IChingReading ā #ResilienceGardenā #Divinationā #Animism (at Portland, Oregon) https://www.instagram.com/p/CFnuu5QAADn/?igshid=54wfbjagxtcg

Weaving a Silo !?
š± at Rhs Chelsea.. on āThe Resilience Gardenā ,designed by Sarah Eberle for Forestry England. āYes.ā Says Hare .
Another opportunity to work alongside the wonderful Sarah Eberle on a show garden .Remember the Artisan garden in 2015 for Breast cancer charity āThe Havenā with The Giant Oak leaf Seat?(link below , but read on first !)
š±This time.. on main avenue, my brief was to weave the interior of an old grain silo .What would become a Garden Studio in her Gold Medal (hot of the press news) āResilience Gardenā 2019.
Marking 100yrs of Foresty and highlighting the need to diversify tree planting .The garden also prompts conversations around biosecurity , for the protection of our future landscapes .
The weave itself was quite challenging , how to pin back to the cylindrical walls of the silo ,without to much extra steel work and clutter .
My solution was to tap in to the existing bolts with a pre-fabād fixings , something to get purchase behind and to create tension in the weave .
The movement suggests a vine or similar that has taken root and climbed its way through the corregated silo walls , wrapping light fixings, window and door frames .
The Garden is an Absolute Triumph.
Congratulations to Sarah Eberle and Crocus Landscapesšš±
