𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐌 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐀 ( 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 𝐈 - 𝐕𝐈 )
Contains the basic lore and information of World I-VI sanctuaries located in Sanctum Natura.
Top Row: La Serre, Le Zoo, La Foret Bottom Row: Le Carnaval, L’Energie, La Desolee
𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐘𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐀 𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐎𝐖 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐄
𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 𝐈: 𝐋𝐀 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐄 ━ 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐄𝐋𝐘𝐒𝐈𝐔𝐌 𝐎𝐅 𝐄𝐗𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐀.
This sanctuary is ruled over by the deity: Botania. La Serre is known as the afterlife of innocent souls both human and laniatura-alike. The final resting place of good souls. This domain houses the Tree of Life, the branches of this tree indicate the length of the lifespan of everyone who lives in Existencia. The LudeServa who resides in this domain and her members ensure that all the souls are properly sent to remain at peace in La Serre for eternity. ( OST: X )
𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐁𝐎𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐀
Botania is the younger sister of Chrysanthemum. A woman who constantly veils herself, only her members are allowed to gaze upon her appearance. Little is known about her as she tends to keep to herself, but she seems to enjoy the hobby of Horticulture and Botany, owning a prized topiary garden that she created herself. She is responsible for cutting down the branches of mortal lives, once their time in the mortal realm is over. Whoever lives or dies is not her decision, as she only follows the scripts of Fate. Her Insignes Royaux are a pair of golden gardening shears she uses to removes souls from mortal bodies, these are the very shears she uses to cut down the branches from the tree of life.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐄𝐄𝐃𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒
Like Jardin, All members of this sanctuary are named after flowers and plants, a majority of the Laniaturas in this domain are spirits, while the others have deep spiritual connections with supernatural forces. The tasks of the members of this domain is to ensure that no souls are led astray, their missions in the mortal realm consists of bring restless souls to peace and relieve them of their earthly chains. They are also responsible with preventing a single Laniaturian soul from falling into the wrong hands.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃
The world sits as an island in a clear, turquoise ocean while the tree of life rests at the very center of the domain. The island is abundant in flora and clear ponds and waterfalls, an idyllic afterlife bathed in songs and peaceful celebrations. The structures are of Rococo and Grecian architectures and covered with crystalline glass. The main estate where the citadel and the members reside sits near the grand tree in order for the members to properly safeguard it. The world closely follows the 24-hour day and night cycle, although due to it being the heaven of the world, it doesn’t attribute to any particular year or time period.
𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 𝐈𝐈: 𝐋𝐄 𝐙𝐎𝐎 ━ 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐒.
This sanctuary is ruled over by the LudeServa: Zooion. Le Zoo is where animals and mythical creatures are being protected, the sanctuary for animals and supernatural beasts created by Laniaturas. ( OST: X )
𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐙𝐎𝐎𝐈𝐎𝐍
Zooion is the younger sister of Chrysanthemum, a child who deeply empathizes with magical creatures and animals and is able to alter her form to mimic their shapes and calls. She’s overprotective over creatures of all kind, easily agitated and tethering to aggression when they are being harmed, maltreated, and taken advantage of for their resources. Hence she is the only LudeServa that doesn’t consume any mortal food. Her Insignes Royaux is a golden whistle that takes the shape of a Lion Head, when she uses this whistle she’s able to command and call upon the beasts to her side.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐒
All members of this sanctuary are named after animals, a majority having the uncanny ability to communicate with animals or be able to shapeshift as them. The tasks of the members are to ensure that no magical creature crafted by Laniaturian hands are being maltreated and hunted down for their magical properties in the human realm, as well as to ensure that they’re properly safeguarded.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃
The land rests in eternal autumn during its morning cycle. The main estate and citadel of the sanctuary is located at the cliffside of a grand mountain, all structures of the domain are heavily Dravidian Architecture-inspired. All of the creatures and beasts that reside here are sacred, hence no visitor is allowed to hunt in these grounds lest they want to anger the Deity who reigns this domain. All magical creatures and animals roam free and unrestricted, the domain is also home to several biomes (from vast forests, tundras, fields, to oceans… etc.) to ensure that all creatures properly reside in their natural habitat.
𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 𝐈𝐈𝐈: 𝐋𝐀 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄𝐓 ━ 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐈𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐑𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐖𝐈𝐒𝐃𝐎𝐌.
This sanctuary is ruled over by the LudeServa: Morning Glory. La Foret is a forest sanctuary which houses the Great Library underneath underground caverns and chambers. The great library contains all of the important historical records and information of Existencia, and it is where significant events are being recorded. This is a commonplace frequented by Narrator, one of the Illucesco. For she records everything that has ever occurred in the world, and stores them within the Library’s archives. ( OST: X )
𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐆𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐘
Morning Glory is the youngest among her sisters but one of the wisest. The deity had lost her vision a long time ago although she is able to navigate herself through her senses, feeling the tremors and aura of the earth, she does it flawlessly that most are unaware of her blindness. Morning Glory is a guide to lost souls, she helps them to where they need to go or what they have to do, because the truth and light always comes from knowledge, which her domain provides. She has two Insignes Royaux, a blue rabbit plush and a compass. She’s able to remove the pointer from the compass and use it as a spear and a weapon, the compass always leads her to where she needs to be. While the rabbit plush transforms into a rabbit monster and defends Glory whenever necessary.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐒
Like Jardin, The members of this domain are named after plants and flowers found in the wild. The members are navigators, explorers, and informants who roam the human realm in missions to uncover truths and gather information that will be stored in the Great Library. The members also safeguard The Great Library to avoid any valuable information from falling into the wrong hands.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃
The world is a paradisical domain settled upon an evergreen forest known for its tall Sequoias and Waterfalls, the main estate and citadel where the LudeServa and members reside sits in a central clearing, surrounded by vast greenery, a large waterfall cascading crystal clear water can be seen from behind the grand estate. The structures of the domain is a mix of gothic and rococo architectures shrouded in overgrown vines and flora. Meanwhile, beneath the sanctuary are vast caverns containing the Great Library of Existencia, where all the important information of the world is safeguarded, even the maps to the Celare Sanctuaries in the mortal realm.
𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 𝐕𝐈: 𝐋𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐕𝐀𝐋 ━ 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐕𝐀𝐋 𝐎𝐅 𝐉𝐎𝐘.
This sanctuary is reigned over by The LudeServa: Confetti. Le Carnaval is a sanctuary the takes the form of a vast amusement park. Said to be the threads that ties Laniaturas to humanity. The sanctuary whisks away random humans from their daily lives and brought to La Carnaval for a day of fun in hopes to ease humanity into accepting Laniaturas as equals. The spirited human will return back as if awoken from a dream, the only evidence they have of the uncanny encounter is a single, golden, admit one ticket. ( OST: X )
𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐅𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐈
Confetti is a young LudeServa deity bursting with energy and enthusiasm. She’s a talented performer, inventor, artist, and entertainer. And she has the uncanny ability to truly read the emotions of a person from within and be able to manipulate other people’s perceptions and behaviors. She’s incredibly empathetic and overly emotional, the child not having a filter on her emotions, she gets incredibly upset when people lie about their feelings. She has two Insignes Royaux, a marching baton and juggling balls. The juggling balls explode and emit different types of smoke that shift people’s behaviors when engulfed by the smoke, the emotions they express depend on the type of ball used. The Baton adjusts its length and can be used as a weapon as its edges have the ability to light on fire.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒
The members of La Carnaval are named after amusement park attractions or circus roles. Each of them are brilliant entertainers, performers, tricksters, and illusionists. They serve as very talented distractions in Natura missions and they attempt to help fix bonds and issues between Laniaturas and Humans, whether they’re serious emotional debates (or maybe stuff as mundane as love problems.)
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃
The world takes the form of a vast amusement park, with several entertainment establishments such as movie theaters, stores & shops, food venues, and rides. All of the rides were designed and crafted by Confetti herself, all inspired by themes she makes with her uncanny mind. (the child claiming she wants to be better than d/sneyland). The main estate and citadel where they reside sits in the very center of the domain, the estate taking form of a grandeur gothic-architecture style castle covered in pink and gold hues. The world has a 24-hour night and day cycle, but during the day the world is constantly swaddled in sunset hues. The sky and clouds constantly in light pink and orange tones, resembling cotton candy. Le Carnaval is the only domain that closes its visitation gates late as the fireworks show always ends at 10pm before the sanctuary closes for the day.
𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 𝐕: 𝐋’𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐆𝐈𝐄 ━ 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐄𝐗𝐇𝐈𝐁𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐎𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐎𝐖.
This sanctuary is reigned over by the LudeServa: Joule. L’Energie is a sanctuary that houses some of the most intricate structures and architectural prowess all over the world, as well as power plants that accumulate energy from Natural resources. It is also the home to one of the most prestigious Laniaturian Academies in all of Existencia. ( OST: X )
𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐉𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐄
Joule is a witty, young inventor who frequently dreams of building a brighter tomorrow with the aid of technology. The deity is incredibly shy and often keeps to herself fearing of harming them due to the radioactive energy she emits during bursts of emotions, she’s satisfied hiding in the shadows of her sisters. The girl rarely presents herself to mortals due to her case, her members often serve as her messengers. Her Insignes Royaux are a pair of black lace gloves that control the voltage of her electrical discharges and block her energy from causing disarray.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐕𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐒
The members of L’Energie are popularly known among Natura to be scholars, inventors, architects, professors, and intellectuals. (often dubbed as the nerd sanctuary by other sanctuary members) But despite that, a good number of the Vitalities are formidable fighters, who says you can’t have both brains and brawn? The members craft inventions and machineries that aid the rest of Natura during their missions as well as serve as the main academic institute for the members of Sanctum Natura who didn’t receive formal education.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃
L’Energie’s domain is a vast terrain covered in Lavender flowers, with different architectural structures inspired from great structures recorded throughout history. The sanctuary has different roles to play: (1) It serves as an energy and power provider for all of Natura. (2) It is home of the most grandiose Academy for the Supernatural (3) A place where great exhibitions are being hosted that showcases Laniaturian inventions and innovations. The domain’s main estate is reminiscent to The Crystal Palace, as it hosts yearly exhibitions that showcase Laniaturian inventions and machineries mixed with supernatural foundations. La Energie houses Joule’s famous high-speed train, the train travels throughout the entire Sanctuary in under an hour.
𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 𝐕𝐈: 𝐋𝐀 𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐄𝐄 ━ 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐔𝐒.
Reigned over by the LudeServa: Wisteria, This sanctuary is the complete opposite of La Serre, as it is the Tartarus or Hell of Existencia. The sanctuary houses the Desolation Chambers, an abysmal prison underneath the island of Desolee, heavily inspired from the 9 layers of hell from the Inferno. All cruel souls wander here and punished for eternity depending on their crimes. ( OST: X )
𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐑𝐋𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐃 𝐖𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐀
Wisteria is the eldest among the LudeServas. A talented woman of sciences, arts, and meteorology. She is the first LudeServa crafted by ENIGMA and EXISTENCE after the loss of Maria Caltha. But due to a tragedy, her relationship with her father had long soured and she and her sisters had established Natura in order to defy him, even going as so far as to choose the name her beloved sister had chosen for her over her father’s. The once hopeful woman had grown cold and jaded from years of abuse, matched with an immense hatred for humanity. Now she serves as the punisher of mortal souls. Her Insignes Royaux is a mix of a silver and lavender-tone walking cane, in a shape of a snake. The cane can transform into a sword at Wisteria’s will, when mortals are touched by the blade, they would experience excruciating pain all over their bodies that equates to living hell until they pass. Her Royaux is rumored to be given to her by her father.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒
The disasters are Laniaturas who have suffered immense maltreatment and abuse during their living years. A good number of them are vengeful spirits, while others simply live with unrest due to the mistreatment they received back in the mortal realm. They serve as punishers in the name of Wisteria. Creatures of Karma in the mortal realm, they’re responsible for executing monstrous mortals, guarding the Chambers, and ensuring that their prisoners suffer and repent for eternity. All members are named after Natural Disasters, Occurrences, and Tragedies.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃
La Desolee is the least hospitable domain of all of Natura. It sits upon an uncharted island, surrounded by a murky, black ocean festering with gluttonous sea monsters. The sanctuary is bathed in eternal night, and constantly riddled with stormy skies and lightning and dangerous flying creatures that dominate the horizon. Past the gates of the sanctuary, visitors’ only access to the island is by a ship that only arrives three times a day (6 am, 12 pm, 6 pm) upon intended schedule. If one misses the 6 pm ship out of the island, they’d have to wait until dawn for its return. The main island houses structures of dark gothic architecture and constantly riddled with intense earthquakes. The only safe place that’s unaffected by the earthquakes would be the main estate that houses the citadel and entrance to the Chambers of Desolation, a cruel, deep, and endless abyss divided into nine layers, a place that houses all of the souls being punished for their crimes during their living days.

Childhood
Louise Bourgeois was born in Paris in 1911 and named after her father Louis, who had wanted a son. Most of the year, her family lived in the fashionable St. Germain in an apartment above the gallery where her parents sold their tapestries. The family also had a villa and workshop in the countryside where they spent their weekends restoring antique tapestries. Throughout her childhood, Bourgeois was recruited to help in the workshop by washing, mending, sewing, and drawing, overseen by her mother Josephine, with whom she was very close. As an adolescent, Bourgeois attended the elite Lycee Fenelon in Paris.
Despite all appearances pointing to a thriving family in which the young artist was exposed to certain privileges, there were persistent tensions in the household. This was because her father's mistress (who was also Bourgeois' tutor) resided with the family. This circumstance marked the pivotal trauma that would later come to inform Bourgeois' highly autobiographical artworks surrounding family, motherhood, relationships, fidelity, abandonment, the body, and trust.
Early Training
Bourgeois received an extensive education. In the early 1930s, she studied math and philosophy at the Sorbonne, where she wrote her thesis on Blaise Pascal and Emmanuel Kant. After the death of her mother in 1932, she began studying art, enrolling in several schools and ateliers between 1934 and 1938, including the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, the Academie Ranson, the Academie Julian, and the Academie de la Grande-Chaumiere. Her first Paris apartment was on the rue de Seine in the same building as André Breton's Galerie Gradiva, where she became familiar with the work of the Surrealists. In 1938, she began exhibiting her work at the Salon d'Automne and opened her own gallery in a sectioned-off area of her father's tapestry showroom, exhibiting prints and paintings. Through this short stint as an art dealer, she met and married art historian Robert Goldwater, with whom she'd relocate to New York City later that year.
Mature Period
Upon arrival in New York, Bourgeois enrolled at the Art Students League and focused her attention on printmaking and painting. She also had three children over a four-year period. Throughout the 1940s and '50s, Goldwater introduced Bourgeois to a plethora of New York artists, critics, and dealers, including most importantly, Alfred Barr, the director of the Museum of Modern Art, who bought one of her works for its collection in 1953. In the late '40s and '50s, she had several solo shows in various New York galleries. Her husband received a Fulbright grant and they returned with their children to France in the early 1950s, during which time her father died. Bourgeois began psychoanalysis in 1952, which she continued and off until 1985. In the 1960s, she began experimenting with latex, plaster, and rubber, and travelled to Italy, where she worked with marble and bronze.
Late Period
Bourgeois' husband died in 1973, the same year she began teaching at various institutions in New York City, including the Pratt Institute, Brooklyn College, and Cooper Union. It was during this time that she started hosting Sunday salons in her Chelsea apartment, which would become legendary. At these intimate sessions, students and young artists would bring their work to be critiqued by Bourgeois, who could be ruthless, referring to the gatherings, with characteristically dry humour, as "Sunday, bloody Sunday." Nevertheless, her accessibility and willingness to advise younger artists was exceptional for an established artist of such standing.
She also participated in several exhibits in the 1970s and '80s and began presenting performance pieces. In the 1970s, Bourgeois became politically active as a socialist and a feminist. She joined the Fight Censorship Group, which defended the use of sexually explicit imagery in art and made several of her own sexually explicit works related to the female body, such as Fillette (1968). Marking her prestige in the art world, Bourgeois had her first retrospective in 1982 at MoMA, which was the first given to a female artist at that institution. In 1993, Bourgeois, who became an American citizen in 1955, was chosen to represent the USA in the Venice Biennale. She died in 2010.
The Legacy of Louise Bourgeois
Bourgeois' work always cantered upon the reconstruction of memory, and in her 98 years, she produced an astounding body of sculptures, drawings, books, prints, and installations.
Bourgeois' work helped inform the burgeoning feminist art movement and continues to influence feminist-inspired work and Installation Art. The first Assemblages of Louise Nevelson, for example, were produced a few years after Bourgeois had been experimenting with similar environments, such as Bourgeois' Blind Leading the Blind (1947-49) and Night Garden (1953). Her focus on both male and female genitalia during the 1960s was an important precursor to Feminist artists such as Lynda Benglis and Judy Chicago, whose works address similar interests.
Her work on diffusing the complexities surrounding sexuality, processing its strands in our lives, and dissecting the reverberations of its presence on our emotional, intellectual, and physical existence has informed male artists as well, like Robert Mapplethorpe, who has given her credit for opening up new ways to consider the body, its relations, and its unique identity in his own photography.
Her marriage of tapestry and fabric with sculptural principles has also been seen in the world of fashion, as noted designers such as Comme Des Garcons and Simon Rocha, conceived collections based on her interconnecting shapes and forms.

Tinners Way 1990-2017
Tinners Way at Old Friends, Photo (X)
Tinners Way (KY)
May 25, 1990 - July 5, 2017
Tinners Way, a multiple Gr.I winner and one of the last remaining direct foals of Secretariat, was euthanized July 5 after the onset of a server neurological disease. The 27-year-old had been treated for neurological issues and an infection before.
Tinners Way was bred in Kentucky by Juddmonte Farms, who also campaigned him. A late May foal, he was the last colt born by his sire, the great Secretariat. He was out of the The Minstrel mare Devon Diva, making him a half-brother to filly Western Approach (by Gone West) who notably defeated males by 8 lengths in the 1993 Morvich Handicap.
Tinners Way began his racing career across the pond in Europe, making his first seven starts in England and France. He found success in Europe, winning three races, including the City of York Stakes and Milcars Temple Fortune Stakes after having broken his maiden at first asking. He also finished third in the Prix de la Foret, a French Gr.I race. Tinners Way came to the United States as a four-year-old, joining the barn of trainer Bobby Frankel. At first, Tinners Way was met with little success, but won his first stateside race in the Budweiser Breeders’ Cup Handicap. He hit his best stride when he captured the 1994 Gr.I Pacific Classic, besting future Hall of Famer Best Pal and equaling the stakes record. He won the 2005 Pacific Classic the following year, defeating 2004 Breeders’ Cup Classic winner Concern, making him one of three horses to win the race multiple times. He earned another Gr.I win in 1996 when taking the Californian Stakes.
Tinners Way retired with a record of 27: 7-6-4 and earnings of $1,849,452. He is his sire’s third-leading earner, behind only Lady’s Secret and Risen Star.
Beginning stud duty in 1997, Tinners Way stood at Vinery Farms in Kentucky, Harris Farms in California, and lastly at Key Ranch in Texas, where he retired in 2010 as the richest racehorse in Texas. After one season at Key Ranch, owners donated Tinners Way to Old Friends Equine in Kentucky.
As a sire, Tinners Way produced 93 winners from 14 crops of racing age, with progeny earnings of $3,263,785. He sired two stakes winners- Tin Man Commin and Riverruns Thruit.
Tinners Way is survived by his full brother, Torbay, who is residing in Philadelphia.
"I can't thank Old Friends enough for the care and support he was given. Tinners Way certainly did wonders for us, he did wonders for Juddmonte on the track, and I hope he did wonders for his friends and fans in retirement.” - Phil Leckinger, Key Ranch Owner
"We are so saddened by the loss of Tinners Way. It's times like these that you really see how much we can do for these old horses. Tinner, like Wallenda, was a warrior to the end, and when he told us his battle was over, we listened. He had so many friends from all over the country that visited him often. He leaves behind a great legacy and a host of adoring fans."- Michael Blowen

The Schloss Fantaisie is a castle, situated 3.1 miles west of the city Bayreuth in the community Eckersdorf.
The roots of this castle are in the medieval, but there is not much left from this time. In the 16th century the Lords of Lüchau (Lüchauer Herren) built a plain Renaissance Castle. When Friedrich Ludwig von Lüchau died in 1757, the castle fell back to Frederick, Margrave of Brandenburg-Bayreuth.
In 1761 he started to build a new castle at the same location as an additional summer residence. The building was inspired from impressions of an Italian journey of the Margrave couple Wilhelmine and Frederick, Margrave of Brandenburg-Bayreuth.
In the year 1763 the Margraves only daughter Fredericka Sophie inherited the castle. She used the name Fantaisie for her castle and authorized the builder Johann Jakob Spindler to continue the building. Because of many modifications there is not much left from the original castle but you can see a replica of the "Spindler-Kabinett", a wooden room with intarsia work of the brothers Johann Friedrich and Heinrich Wilhelm Spindler.·

that Meade has subsequently undertaken, his initial investment will do significantly more than that when it is finished.
But the high-spec finish is all for the horse advantage, since Meade has turned a derelict farm into a horse palace and left its mark on the training center from where the last football pools Robert Sangster once hopped
It was in the colors of Sangster that a Manton horse won the 2000 Guineas – Peter Chapple-Hyam trained Rodrigo de Triano under Lester Piggott 1992 – while the last British The classic winner on the estate was the Lahan of John Gosden, who won the 1,000 Guineas in 2000.
Businessman Meade, previously based in Newmarket, says he can make Manton viable. Meade dreams of returning the glory days to the Manton estate in Wiltshire "

With its surrounding farmland and a wide range of gallops also used by Brian Meehan, Manton & other resident trainer, Meade wants the center to be self-sufficient – but he must also produce a stream of successful and salable horses.
Meade, whose winner of the 2017 Group One Prix de la Foret, now a stallion at the National Stud, said: & # 39; It is clear that you have to be successful in the training. We aim at the highest level so that the horses can make stallions and broodmares. Manton is an ideal place for that.
& # 39; can win one group match , and that's what it's all about. It would be nice if we could take it to the next stage and win a Derby or Guineas.
& # 39; This place is a viable operation as a farm with racing but the only way to keep the racelooks in balance is to have those big horses.
& # 39; You are not going to do it with training fees or prize money, but you can do it based on the fact that our group competitions are the best in the world.

Advertising is a good example of what Meade says she wants to achieve.
His next victories included the Group One Phoenix Stakes in Ireland while finishing second in the Dewhurst Stakes behind Too Darn Hot, the antepost favorite for the 2,000 Guineas until he was excluded last month due to an injury.
Those runs make arguably Advertising the best horse of the race, until this week after Frankie Dettori's booking for the ride, he was shunned in gambling.
But he is now 7-1 shot in a 19-runner line-up led by Aidan O & # 39; Brien-trained pair of Magna Grecia and Ten Sovereigns
Meade, whose Eminent sixth was in the 2,000 Guineas of 2017 before finishing fourth in the Derby, said: & If you look at his shape compared to other horses depicted, it just surprises me. He has grown up physically and mentally.
& # 39; Frankie knows the horse and is the man for the big occasion. I think it really worked for us. It is a huge plus. & # 39;
CLASSIC DAD AND SON CLASH
David Egan, 19, will try to become the youngest jockey to win the 1,000 Guineas of tomorrow at Newmarket when partners Roger Varian-trained favorite Qabala . The pair won the Nell Gwyn Stakes at the Craven Meeting last month. Egan & # 39; s father John rides Garrel Glen in the 1000, a rare specimen of a father and competes in the same Classic. Tom Cannon Jnr and Snr run into each other in the 1888 1,000 Guineas and St Leger.

History
The Paris Hockey Club is the second oldest ice hockey club in France and proudly celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2013. The club is comprised of only one team of oldtimers (aged 34 to 73 !), a bunch of friends who for some, have been skating together since their childhood. Most of the members played competitively in the second or third French league. The "PHC" travels regularly (Finland, Canada, Czech Republic etc..) to play in international tournaments. Visiting teams are welcomed to Paris for some hockey and some French "art de vivre".
Since the 50's,The Paris Hockey Club has made its home at the Boulogne-Billancourt arena, which today is a modern sports complex, with an Olympic-size ice surface. Only 15 mins away from the Eiffel tower.
Founding and Early Years
The first ice rink Paris with artificial ice, le Pôle Nord, opened in 1892. Not long afterwards, Prince Charles Sagan, a great-grand nephew of Talleyrand, founded the first hockey club in France, the Hockey Club de Paris (HCP.) The first official match took place at le Pôle Nord in 1896. The HCP, essentially comprised of wealthy aristocrats, disbanded in 1903, but some new clubs followed as other artificial ice rinks were opened in Paris and elsewhere in France.
The Paris Hockey Club (PHC) as we know it today, was founded in 1913. It owes its creation to a very different sporting event, the construction of the Vélodrome d’Hiver (le Vél’d’Hiv, a bicycle racing arena), in 1909. The Vél’d’Hiv doubled as a year-round roller skating rink, making skating possible to a large public at a reasonable price. Given the similarities of their names, were some of the founders of the PHC former members of the decade-earlier HCP? Perhaps, but one can only speculate today. Undoubtedly, early members of the PHC were also ice skaters.
Following the 1st World War, roller-skating became increasing popular. In 1926, the PHC created the la Fédération Française de Patinage à Roulettes (The French Roller Skating Federation). The historic roller-skating section of the PHC is still very active with nearly 200 members in various disciplines such a roller hockey, roller derby, speed skating, and leisure skating, for men and women of all ages. As will be detailed in a later paragraph, the historic ice skating section of the PHC, created their own association, Les Veterans du Paris Hockey Club, in 1999.
Not to overlook ice hockey, the Vél’d’Hiv also offered the PHC the possibility to develop this discipline. In 1931, an American renovated the Vél’d’Hiv, making it a multi-sport complex that included ice-skating and ice hockey. This kicked-off what has been termed “les années folles (the crazy years)” of ice hockey in Paris. Many clubs competed at the Vél’d’Hiv during this period, of which only two, the PHC and Les Francais Volants, still offer ice hockey today.
Following the 2nd World War, the PHC entered teams in both Parisian and national championships
The Meudon Years and a New Direction in the 1970s
In the years surrounding the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, there was a craze of interest in ice skating sports and new ice rinks where built throughout France, notably in the suburbs surrounding Paris. In 1973, a new rink was inaugurated in Meudon La Foret. Jean Nicoleau, the new PHC President and a resident of Meudon, seized on this opportunity to bring the PHC to this new ice rink.
Jean, born in Agen, came to Paris following his return from Germany at the end of the 2nd World War. He attended L’Ecole Boulle, developed a passion for ice hockey, and began a life-long friendship with Jacques Lacarrière, a legendary figure of French ice hockey. Jean played with the OC Billancourt team that finished 2nd in the 1950-51 national championships. He said that the upholstery shop at Renault factory in Billancourt made some of their equipment.
Under Jean’s leadership, the PHC turned definitively away from championship competition and became entirely devoted to veteran and leisure hockey, targeting experienced players aged 35 years and older. This was the first French club to take this exclusive approach. Jean was also an active member and officer of the Association France-Canada. In this this capacity, he developed a close relationship with the Canadian embassy, which began referring all enquiries from Canadians and other nationalities looking for a leisure ice hockey club to the PHC and the Meudon ice rink.
The Meudon Hockey Club eventually developed their own teams, including a leisure section, and the PHC had to move to Garges les Gonesse for a year because of conflicts over ice time and costs. Jean-Pierre Goguelin and Jim Burke smoothed over the conflict, and in 1981, the PHC returned to Meudon. Thereafter until 1988, the Meudon Hockey Club Veterans and the PHC scrimmaged together, 07h00 to 09h00 every Saturday morning.
Jean knew nearly everyone in French hockey and PHC had matches almost every weekend in the Paris region and surrounding cities. As the PHC had more experienced players than other leisure teams, they won nearly all of their matches, including some with teams engaged in national championship play. With the connection to the Canadian Embassy, approximately half of the players in PHC at that time were Canadian or American.
During this period, the PHC was invited to the inaugural opening match of the Limoges Ice Rink and a gala match in Nantes. We also traveled to Valenciennces for a match with a team of stationed at SHAPE Headquarters in Belgium, and to Zweibrücken, Germany for matches with a team of GIs as well as a 2nd Division German club.
The Move to the Patinoire de Boulogne - 1988
The PHC and Meudon Veterans were moved to a new ice time, and rift developed between the older and younger “veterans”. This ran against Jean Nicoleau’s philosophy, and he consequently relocated the PHC to Boulogne for the 1988-89 season. We are still at this ice rink today. This resulted in a major influx of new players. A demographic change was that the mix of players became increasingly French. All of the ice rinks built in France during the 60s and 70s were producing a new wave of experienced players who wanted to continue hockey beyond their years of championship play.
Jean Nicoleau was 70 years of age and needed to pass his vision on to a new generation. Gilles Poulot and then Authur Cloquet were secretaries, assisting Jean in the transition. Jean retired at the end of the 1993-1994 season; his old friend Jacques Lacarrière came to his retirement party. The following season Arthur Cloquet became President of the PHC.
After moving to Boulogne the PHC remained very active, organizing matches with other veteran/leisure teams, including some from other countries. We also entered tournaments such as those in Valenciennes, Louviers, Toulon, and Cholet.
Creation of the Association Les Veterans du Paris Hockey Club -1998
Michel Chatillon was elected President beginning in the 1998 -1999 season. Michel began hockey at Boulogne shortly after the Patinoire Federale was inaugurated in 1955. He played youth hockey with the Athlétic Club de Boulogne-Billancourt (ACBB ) there and moved on to their championship teams as an adult. He joined the PHC in 1988. Probably no person has accumulated more hockey ice-time at the Patinoire Federale than Michel.
One of the matters that required attention was that none in the club at that time had any contact with or knowledge of the roller skating section of the PHC. Accordingly, our officers (Michel Chatillon, Didier Reed, Michel Rigaud, and Jim Burke) met with the roller skating section at their annual party in the Halle Saint-Pierre, below Montmartre. They really didn’t know we existed either, and consequently, we created our new association.
