he looked over at dahlia with a raised brow, mid shoveling some of his salad in his mouth. 

“ oh yeah? “

rezeve responded, finishing the shovel and letting his eyes scan over her features admiringly. 

“ well, i could look at you forever even if you got sprayed by a skunk and your front two teeth were missing. what do ya’ think about that, sunshine? “

the boy retorted after he swallowed his foot, punctuating the response with a kiss on her cheek.

“ i think my face would hurt after awhile if i did that, goofy. “ he snorted, playfully nudging against dahlia. they decided to spend the day in the part- it was a cool and sunny day, and rez wanted to take pictures anyways. he had let dahlia take some pictures and while she did so, she said something that made the boy laugh- and she got a picture of him in the act.

“ keep making silly jokes about silly things and i might be in trouble. “

he let out a little, ‘hmph,’ at her statements, following up his nonverbal response with reaching his arms out and tugging dahlia closer by her shirt. rez stayed in his seat and tilted his head up a bit to nudge his nose against hers gently, trying his best to play it cool and ignore the soft blush that warmed his cheeks. he wrapped his arms around her waist, smiling at her a bit and swaying a little.

“ y’know that’d be kinda weird right? just listening to someone’s laugh all day? “

he knew dahlia would get huffy at him being too literal, which only caused him to smile a bit wider.
