Or more specifically, the interpretations of that one quiz everyone was talking about a few weeks ago...

Now it’s time to info dump about Rescue Bots and Rescue Bots Academy (only the 1st seasons though)

Heatwave: he runs Kade through the ringer and it’s absolutely fuckin justified. also hes a very grumpy man Chase: He and chief burns seem to be the only people in this show taking their jobs/mission on earth seriously. and honestly, every team needs the tired, overworked dad who needs a break Blades: he’s feels so queer coded im shocked they got away with it, and im glad Dani reached an mutual point of respect with him, cause man he never gets any slack Boulder: is this just another bulkhead? if so im 110% down lets fuckin gooooooo more giant metal himbos Cody: Everyone is on his case but he only means well, his family needs to cut him some slack with the amount of weight he’s pulling on this team Frankie: absolute icon. need i say more I will say i miss the presence of a medic bot... unless in season 1 it’s not really explained but Griffin rock not having an ambulance rescue bot strikes me as weird... though i know that Dani and Blades do air rescues... where is the actual like. health care in this town ------- Rescue Bots Academy Hot Shot: This man is just a fuckin shonen protagonist you can’t convince me otherwise Wedge: absolute bumblebee simp, and honestly who could blame him? Bee is great... but also like. man has some serious confidence issues Hoist: my beloved, my absolute darling someone please protect this anxious boy from consequences, he’s the most forward thinking member on the recruit team and everyone busts his servos for it. cut him some slack... please ;-; Medix: I honestly didnt think i’d relate to a character more than medix, and after reading his TFwiki page, and seeing that he was almost certainly, albeit not strictly intentionally, coded as being autistic/neurodivergent... it aboslutely makes sense. Whirl: i feel like she’s a mix between the prime version of optimus and chase, she’s all about protocol, and almost excessively knowledgable in it. i cant say i dislike her though, she’s adorable

Twisten was missing.

The racer boy kept to himself most of the time, his ink stained teddy bear, which Chase begrudgingly let him keep, was always half stuffed in his subspace, a ear or leg peeking out of whichever compartment was nearest when he was yelled at to focuse yet again.

When he suddenly seemed to be better after a good week, a ghost of a smile returning after Blades praised him in art class, a nod of encouragement from Boulder, and even an entire class without getting punished by Chase? Well, Starstrike didn't think much of it.

Good things didn't happen often to the children living in the basement level of the Rescue Bots Academy.

Starstrike didn't think that smile came from the young minibot finding a way out.

A way out to the Allspark, a way out of autobot clutches, a way that smelled of stolen circuit breakers and stolen weaponry.

Chase called the lock down, when Twisten was absent from bed inspection.

Blades soothed the frayed nerves of class 2 after a blaring klaxton drew a panic.

Boulder grabbed Starstrike once their initial sweep of the island failed.

They all heard the gunshot

But Starstrike found Twisten's precious blue-bear, dirty and propped against a tree. She shoved it into her subspace, foing everything she could to throw off Twisten's trail.

Heatwave found the body.

He ran right back out of the cave, pulling Ratchet aside, bits of plating and energon sticking to his feet.

"He's gone. Human made gun, shot to the spark from under the chest plates. Call Prime and get hazmat. His spark popped when he went."

"Call off the search, the kid's deceased." Ratchet yelled. "Medix, I need a hose down over here. Heatwave didn't watch where he was walking."

Starstrike heard everything, freezing like a deer in headlights."He- he's gone?" Her voice was almost inaudible.

"Shit, we didn't just bring Medix." Heatwave said, flinching as the freezing cold water cleaned the energon into a bucket under his feet. It would be disposed of as hazardous waste. "Students, back to the school! Boulder, I want a headcount and eyes on Starstrike and class 2."

Boulder sheparded the students back to the school, Medix staying behind to assist Ratchet. He had seen far worse, he would be fine helping cleanup efforts.

Starstrike was brought into the same room she woke up in all those months ago after the incident. She took the cradle out of her subspace. She might as well get comfortable.

Cool sword fighting scenes while Medix listens to his jams

They all find out Medix is good with swords when they catch him playing beat saber

There will ABSOLUTELY be a sword-fighting tournament that Ratchet says Medix can’t go to, but he ends up going, and this is how I’m picturing it:

As Medix made eye contact with his uncle, who Drift and Wheeljack were behind in the front row stands, he hesitated whilst standing in the entrance to the platform where he would be dueling his opponent.

“Medix! Get out of there right now! You’ll hurt yourself!” Ratchet hollered angrily, with a slight fear in his optics.

Medix slowly relaxes his stance, not breaking eye contact, with a neutral expression across his face.

He slowly reached behind his back, with both arms…

Ratchet flinched, “Medix! I’m not kidding, get over here!” furiously directing his digit to the ground beside him.

Slowly latching his digits, to the handles connected to his swords…

“I’m warning you! There’s no going back from this!” Wheeljack tried to place a servo on his shoulder, to calm him down, but he just shrugged it off.

Medix, is still, only for a second, as he strengthens his stance, his expression turns into a scowl-and with one quick motion, he whips out his dual wielding swords, breaking eye contact with Ratchet and strides towards the platform, with a look of determination.

Ratchet is speechless…he’s furious, Drift swears he sees steam rising from his helm. Not only did Medix lie about coming here, but so did the recruits as they were sitting in the stands, seeing Ratchet’s whole debacle. All the mean while Hot Shot wasn’t helping as he cheered “Go Medix! Stickin it to the man!”. He quickly piped down when Ratchet glared straight at him.

Oh I realized yesterday all those missing episodes of rescue bots academy FINALLY got added to Netflix and binged a bunch with the boyfriend! FINALLY got to see the laserbeak episode that reveals wedge is an ex-decepticon. Laserbeak is so cute :) shout the fuck out to my boy MEDIX for being aggressive and assertively like fuck you hot shot I took an oath to help the sick and injured no matter who they are you shut the fuck your mouth. That's my BOY!!!!

And omg. Secondus! Hello! What are these deep cut transformers lore references doing in my rescue bots!! It was so cute tho that episode really made me smile.

I really do like when they remember hot shot is like a famous and highly skilled athlete. Not just that he plays sports, like, he talks about it as nauseum but it's actually only occasionally that they really seem to remember he's not just a guy that likes sports he was like a famous and extremely skilled professional athlete LOL. Loved the Perceptor episode where hes like "how would you stop a meteor coming towards earth" and throws a thing at him and hot shot is just like THINK FAST and does like a double backflip and kicks it out of the way and lands like uhhhh I forgot I could do that, it's such a funny little moment like oh yeah! He saw Ball and went a little mad for a second. Love that for him.

Also I love the complete continuity disrespect. Including G1 laserbeak in what is supposedly an aligned series is so fucking funny. It's so assertively like "I don't give a fuck." Extremely powerful.
