i keep coming back to 'i was a functioning alcoholic til nobody noticed my new aesthetic' because i do distinctly remember conversations about how taylor seemed to be drinking a lot more and getting drunk at like every awards show she went to. and those conversations were coming from a place of concern and of hoping that she was alright and that this wasn't a problem.
so to then say 'ugh i can't believe no one noticed this problem i had' when i know that people definitely did, and on the same album say that fans who are genuinely concerned about a new relationship that you are in are just 'bitching and moaning'? what do you want from them? you're talking about so many people who do at least believe that they are coming from a place of care and concern, and you are totally dismissing them on both ends of a scale!
not to mention that her implying that since nobody (???) was noticing her ~aesthetic~ drinking problem she just stopped having it is a bit of a kick in the teeth to people who do have drinking problems and can't just stop having them, since that's not how it fucking works.
#today on things about this album that make me want to scrEAM#just the word aesthetic even being in that sentence. please stop.#i think my cynicism has just been brewing for like a whole year at this point and i finally have something to let it out on#maybe even over a year. i have been saying since the tour was announced that she should do tour and finish the rereleases during it#thats the end of eras. the tour the rerecords all finished.#and then take a break. a proper break with no anything going on.#and then take the time to make a solid new album to be released in say 2025/26#obviously this did not happen lol#okay imma use anti tags i don't want the swifties coming for me but. these opinions are important to me and i wanted to voice them.#cannot guarentee that i will not have more to say on this matter at a later time#anti taylor swift#anti ttpd#mae posts#tw drinking#tw alcohol#tw alcoholism

#put fallin down bc its the only one w an actual album cover for the og song not rerelease under the artists name#the anzu rambles

Fun fact! The time between BOOK and the unannounced 24th studio album (3 years, 13 days & counting) is the longest distance between two *studio* releases in the history of TMBG!
Before it, in second place, is The Escape Team/MMR to Book, at 2 years, 11 months, 2 days, and Factory Showroom to Long Tall Weekend, at 2 years, 9 months, and 11 days.
#im not saying they havent been SUPER busy with like touring and rereleases and stuff#or that im even suprised#i just think its kinda funny and interesting & felt like crunching some numbers lol#(also this is everthing AFTER their first studio album.#Technically their actual longest period is between when they first formed in '82 and when they released Pink in '86.)#they might be giants

Being a stan sounds so exhausting. Like being compelled to defend the honour of a billionaire who doesn't know you exist every time they say or do dumb shit sounds like the most miserable existence.
#Yes this is about people going to bat for Taylor Swift's Time interview#I've literally hyperfixated on this womans music for months at a time#but you will never catch me doing that shit#its so embarassing#like guys she called reputation a goth-punk album#and unironically espoused 2010 girlboss feminism#like once you see her talking about how the rereleases are like collecting horcruxes how do you defend the cringe#mine

this is assuming you manually edit song info in your music library. if you don't, the last option is for you.
#is this parsable idk.#i do 2 bc it's what usually ends up happening w rereleases/remasters anyway but sometimes i secondguess if it's the best method.#if you keep b-sides as part of their single do you delete the duplicate a-side track from the single (assuming it also appears on an album)#do you care if you have duplicates? i do.

do i believe that taylor and karlie kissed at the 1975 concert in 2014 … well that’s one secret i’ll never tell xoxo
#crazy to see so many ppl talking about taylor and matty allegedly hooking up in 2014 and NOT bring up kissgate .#like how do you either not know or not care#like girl miss kloss is at the centre of the matty taylor lore how do u not care#omg matty looked at taylor while singing fallingforyou and pointed at her girl and she was too busy cuddling karlie to even notice ..#i’m not a kaylor on GOD but i just don’t understand how you can talk about matty and taylor and not even bring her up#i do think they had a really intense friendship and a massive friendship failing out which is actually more interesting to me than them#secretly dating#but also i don’t know any of these people#all i know is that i don’t trust that british man and his bad teeth and i think karlie is a maniac for going to the eras tour just to sit#in the nosebleeds and see taylor rerelease 1989 from miles away knowing that a decade ago she was the first person to ever hear that album#😵💫😵💫😵💫#MENTAL ILLNESS#her doing that is way more insane than matty healy eating raw meat on stage and playing tiktoks#behind every deranged man there is a more deranged woman#that’s the thesis statement here#taylor swift#mari.txt

I think it's actually a shame that many of the Homestuck albums were taken down for purchase from Bandcamp. Some were bundled in with other ones, sure, but multiple Homestuck albums were just locked away without a possibility purchase. Albums like The Wanderers, Sburb, Prospit and Derse, Song of Skaia; all of these amazing works have been put behind a wall and cannot be purchased anymore, and these albums are some of the best works in the Homestuck discography. Hell, Sburb by Tyler Dever is one of my favorite albums, period. I was lucky in that I bought most of the lost albums before they were hidden in Bandcamp, but I imagine most people have never heard of these albums, let alone hear them.
Sure there's other apps you can listen to these on but it's not the same as purchasing and owning them yourself. It's not the same as being able to show support for these artists through buying these albums and putting money where your taste is. Some artists have put their Homestuck stuff on Spotify or soundcloud, but for the most part these albums have been relegated to the confines of either other albums (robbing them of how they were originally meant to be heard together without making a playlist of them) or are lost to hard drives and libraries of those who bought them when they were around, and I find that to be a shame.
#homestuck#homestuck music#i know James Roach has other issues on his plate but I'd really like these albums to return in some capacity#whether as a bundle of missing albums or as rereleases or something#they deserve to be heard and the artists deserve support

this is going to bother me. i haven’t seen a single other person suggest that this was taylor shade. fellas is it a “response” to somebody else to release a deluxe version of your album. i don’t think the timing is relevant, it was 2 or 3 days after the album dropped, i think she was planning to drop it then the whole time
#post tag#‘to rerelease brat but with 3 extra songs on it so it’s a different album’ i’m so confused#have you never encountered the concept of a deluxe album in your life.#the oververbose album title is something she’s been doing for remixes of songs on this album too#she released a remix months ago called ‘the von dutch remix with addison rae and a.g. cook’#that’s just her style for this album#there is zero evidence that her releasing the deluxe version is a response to anybody#if anything it was about the charts in general. trying to generate even more buzz post release day so she could shoot for a high debut#not a response to taylor doing a similar but more excessive & obnoxious thing#but you chose to say this as if it was true and now everybody is going to think it’s true. so thanks for that

Okay so in mash they often play Japanese covers of American songs right? This was a super common thing in Japan at the same, genres like enka and kayōkyoku were mixing traditional Japanese music with Jazz, Latin and Country music, often covering songs in a mix of Japanese and English or Spanish (occasionally there is a bit of German).
Except China was doing the same thing with shídàiqǔ music (Jyut Jyu Si Doi Kuk in Cantonese, apparently). Obviously China was considered the enemy but we know that half the unit doesn't care about Cold War politics and they often deal with the black market.
What I am suggesting is that they should have gotten some Chinese records to listen to. And because continuity is often ignored on the show anyway it should have been specifically this cover from the opera Carmen.
#mash#m*a*s*h#macks musings#music#shidaiqu#kayokyoku#the info I can find suggests the album this song is on is from 1960#but it is possible that this isn't the first version of the song#songs were often covered several times and rereleased as well#anyway this song would give Charles whiplash#Grace Chang is better known for her song Wo Yao Ni De Ai#which is also a chinese cover of an American song
