A/N: hey... hey.... how y'all doing... erm it's been a while but here we go with another mortal kombat post!! the last time i posted about it was nearly a YEAR ago y'all i suckkkk i'm sorry. but as an apology and a late christmas gift, i'm posting 5 different reqs this week woohoooo *everyone cheers* and i'm sorry it took so long for me to write, i just didn't feel like it. but here we are! also apologies for making tomas and kenshi's hcs short, i just don't have a lot of writing experience for kenshi and tomas only has like 2 minutes of screentime ijbol

with BI-HAN, he'd hate for you to be clingy while he is working. he has an entire clan to take care of, and his stress was worsened after kuai liang and tomas's betrayal. even though you may be his spouse, his main goal will always remain with the lin kuei and taking control of earthrealm. but in private, you could be physically affectionate or talk to your heart's desire.

he's not going to reciprocate your affections, though. he's not used to the concept of romance, especially from someone as vulnerable as you. his entire life he was trained to be cold and ruthless. sure, he grew up with kind brothers, but he saw their friendly nature as weakness. he'll often criticize you for being open with your feelings, but that's only because that was what he was taught. he may behave as if he resents your attachment, but he secretly enjoys the domesticity. it delights him that you are so devoted to him. his hatred for his former brothers grows every day due to their betrayal, so having you around him softens his temper, as he requires reassurance that you aren't going to turn on him. (he'll never admit that, though.) he also doesn't mind when you follow him around as long as you do not disrupt his duties or make a fool out of him. keep your affections private, and you'll stay his. you wouldn't want him to punish you for misbehaving in front of the entire clan, would you?

KUAI LIANG is far more accepting of your behavior than his colder brother. he understands that you're clingy because you care about him, so he tries to make an effort to reciprocate your affections whenever he can. but he often worries for your safety as his spouse. he worries that the lin kuei could target you if they find out about your love. you're free to be clingy, but you must keep it private.

he believes your love is one of the last good things he has left in his life. after bi-han's betrayal, his life has been one of little to no rest. having you by his side keeps his anxieties at bay for a short amount of time. you can talk to him as much as you want, and he won't interrupt you unless it's important. he would listen to your thoughts without judgement. he may question you, but he'll never judge. he may not be as talkative as you are, because he tries to show you how he feels with actions rather than words. but he still manages to keep up with you because he loves you. he's grateful to have some happiness in his dangerous life. that happiness is you.

TOMAS is similar to his brothers as he does not wish for your affections to be public, for safety reasons. however, he makes it very clear that he is appreciative of your clingy nature and never fails to turn beet red when you hug him. while he is busy building the shirai ryu, he has much more free time than his brothers. he enjoys going on walks with you and hearing you talk for hours. he stays engaged and asks questions and laughs along at your jokes, even if they aren't funny. he isn't as energetic as you are, but he attempts to reciprocate your energy the best he can. he grew up with bi-han's harsh criticisms and kuai liang's gentle guidance, but he's never had someone always excited to see him like you. you never fail to put a smile on his face and brighten a dark day.

KENSHI is now a government agent, so he often comes home to you at different times every night. he feels guilty for making you wait for him so late at night, but his concerns wash away the moment you run to hug him. he has a dangerous job, and he can handle himself despite losing his vision, but it doesn't stop him from worrying about you every time he leaves the house. just like the lin kuei trio, he wants to keep your relationship private, so you aren't hunted down like he is. he feels bad that you can't have a normal relationship with him, and it has gotten you in a few arguments, since he believes you deserve better. but ultimately, it's always worked out in the end when you reassure him that you're happy with him and nobody else. he doesn't care that you're a bit clingy, he appreciates that you care about him. it breaks his heart when he has to push you away for his job, but he just wishes to protect you, since your relationship is the best thing that's ever happened to him.

your shifts have been quite amusing as of late. 

every evening after school, you go to work at your family’s cafe. it wasn’t because it was doing badly; quite the opposite, actually. business had been booming as of late, and you couldn’t be more happy! it was pretty nice that you didn’t have to commute at all, and you were instantly hired, so it was easy money. 

in the last couple of months however, you’d noticed that you had quite the frequent regular. 

a boy from your class; manjiro sano. everybody calls him mikey, (you’re not exactly sure why) and you haven't spoken a single word to him in your life outside of taking his order every time he comes in. he would usually come in with friends, though the frequent one was a very tall boy with a dragon tattoo, (you couldn’t tell if he was your age or thirty years old). there were other times he would come in by himself, and neither of you every spoke outside of the typical ordering conversation. 

despite this fact, you always looked forward to seeing him come in. of course, you already knew all the rumors about him, but they never really crossed your mind. in your own mind, you just saw him as the cute boy who frequents your family’s cafe, which was enough for you to slowly develop a bit of a crush on him. 

it wasn’t like you were in love with him or anything; you were just interested in learning more about him. you could never quite find the chance to talk to him though, which left you to just look forward to taking his order, which was more or less the same kind of interaction every single day. you would’ve gone to talk to him in school, but it was a rare occasion for him to actually show up, which made it even harder. 

well, you guess he’s pretty cute, too. 

but that’s aside from the point!

the bell for the front door rung, the sound pulling you from your thoughts. you quickly finished cleaning up the counter and went to the register, smiling a bit too wide when you saw a familiar face. 

“hi, welcome! how can i help you?” you asked. your smile changed to a more polite, customer service type of smile when you realized that mikey was with a big group of his friends, the boys all snickering behind him as he tried, (and failed) to hush them. 

“hi! uh, can i get the kids meal combo, and…” mikey looked down to you from the menu posted on the wall above you, a bit of a questioning look on his face. “...what’s your favorite kind of cake here?” he asked, caching you a bit off guard. 

“my favorite? uhh…probably the strawberry chiffon cake!” 

“okay, and one of that!” you asked, a smile on his face, (you weren’t sure why he suddenly asked that, but his smile almost distracted you from doing your job). 

“alright! anything else?” mikey shook his head, but stepped aside so that the rest of his friends could order their food. you weren’t sure that you’d ever seen him with such a big group of people, and you weren’t sure if you were just imagining things, but…

…were they all staring at you in a strange way? 

of course, you didn’t say anything, but you could’ve sworn that they all were watching you strangely closely, the same knowing smile on all of their faces. 

it was probably just your imagination. 

when they were finished, they all left to sit down, which then left you to get to work preparing all of their food. you were hoping that they would be a bit patient, given the fact that your coworker for this shift had gone on a lunch break, leaving you to fulfill the order by yourself. 

you finished their food orders rather quickly, leaving you a bit shocked and proud of your accomplishment. when you called out the name for their order, the boys all came up to the counter and grabbed their respective meals, politely thanking you and going back to sit down, (why were they still looking at you like that?). 

the last person to grab his order was mikey, who seemed a bit nervous as he came to pick up his food. his fingers were fiddling with a piece of his hair and he seemed to be mumbling something to himself, and you noticed in the back that all of his friends were staring his way, (very obviously). 

“here is your order! please enjoy!” you said, holding his tray out to him. he grabbed it, freezing for a moment as he seemed to be thinking very intensely about something. suddenly, he took the slice of cake off of his tray, sliding it to you. 

“this…is for you. ‘cause you said it’s your favorite.” he mumbled, his cheeks a pink color as he avoided your gaze. “and! uh…would you want to…go out with me? after you finish working?” he asked, his eyes finally meeting yours. 

you stared at him in surprise for a moment, your eyes moving to look at the cake for a moment before looking back at him. 

“yes! i’ve actually…ahh, so embarrassing!! i’ve been wanting to talk to you, but i never found the right moment…” you admitted, playing with your fingers out of nervousness. 

mikey was about to say something, but he was cut off by the door opening behind you, your coworker coming back in from their lunch break. before either of them could say anything, you spoke, gesturing your coworker to come near you for a moment. 

“hey, do you think you could handle the rest? i don’t think there will be much people after this.” you started to lose hope when you saw their questioning expression. “please! just do me this favor once and i’ll do all the closings for the next month!” when your coworker agreed, you felt relief and excitement, turning back to mikey. 

“let’s go right now!! i know you didn’t eat your food, but my parents will probably tell me to get back to work if they notice i’m not working-oh!” you turned back to your coworker. “by the way, don’t tell my parents, okay? i’ll owe you one!!” 

you turned back to mikey, who was staring at you with wide eyes and his jaw hanging open. your heart pounded in anticipation, wondering if you were maybe going too fast. 

“i mean, uh, it doesn’t have to be-”

“let’s go!!” he interrupted, a sparkle in his eyes. “right now, before anyone notices!” he laughed, looking back to his friends with a thumbs-up. at the hand sign, his friends whooped with joy, all of them congratulating mikey from their table. 

“o-okay! let’s go!” you said, coming out from behind the counter. without a moment to spare, mikey grabbed your arm, looping it around his own as he rushed you to the exit of the store, escaping his friends' sudden questions as they tried to follow. 

“hey, are you good with motorbikes?” he suddenly asked.

“uh, i don’t know, i’ve never ridden on one?” mikey looked at you with a mischievous smile on his face, taking a helmet from one of the (many) motorbikes parked outside. he placed it on your head, sitting himself in the front seat of one of the motorbikes, patting the seat behind him. 

“you wanna try?” 

“uhh…” looking to the side, you noticed your parents behind the counter of the cafe, watching you in shock through the window. you panicked, immediately getting on the back of his motorbike, tightly gripping the edges of the seat. “okay! let’s get out of here!” 

the engine roared to life and mikey put his hands on the handles, revving the bike a bit before taking off, leaving the cafe in the dust. 

you were gonna be so dead when you got home.

— Summary: You and Yaku dress up as clowns for a birthday party.

This was definitely the worst idea he agreed to do with you, and he bitterly regrets every second of his own decision.

To give you a brief context, your family had planned to throw a birthday party for your cousin who will be turning seven years old soon. And a very important fact about this cousin is that he is completely obsessed with circuses, and it's no wonder that the theme of his birthday party was nothing less than that.

And a circus wouldn't be complete if there weren't clowns! So that's why now you and Yaku are in the bathroom near the birthday venue, making the final preparations on your clown costume that would definitely surprise the child and his friends.

But you have a problem now. You couldn't look at Yaku without giving him an outrageous laugh. The clown costume looked normal on you, of course it wasn't the best thing in the world, but it would work for this moment, but the same couldn't be said about Yaku.

Due to his short stature, the one-size-fits-all costume that was supposed to fit him is now being rolled up at the sleeves and pants, trying to do everything to disguise the fact that the costume was clearly not made for someone of his size.

And as if that wasn't enough, you two were using a poorly done makeup and a wig of minimally dubious quality, almost looking like you guys just came off a horror movie.

But you have to be honest, your clown costume was a thousand times better than Yaku's. You look at the boy that was putting the characteristic red ball on his nose, that is essential to the clown look, item that you are also using, matching exactly with his visual.

Unintentionally you let out a light laugh, which made him look at you with a deadly look.

"If you tell anyone of the team about this, don't expect to wake up the next day..." You give him a thumbs up in approval, too scared to try and say anything at the death threat you just received.

You suddenly felt nervous, almost as if it was a sign that some tragic event would occur soon, but you put that feeling aside, thinking it was just the threatening aura that overflowed from Yaku. There's no reason to be worried, everything would work out in the end, right?

Well, you were completely wrong.

Some minutes later, you two arrived to the party, surprising the birthday boy and his friends.

"Hello my dear frends!! I am Mr. Glitter, and this one next to me is my special companion, Mr... erm... Hobbit!!" "SAY THAT AGAIN YOUR PIECE OF S-" you quickly give Yaku a light kick in the shin, giving a forced smile to the audience of children who were now staring at him in doubt.

"Piece of s...hinning star! Hahah..."

After this little slip-up, everything seemed to be going well, you interacted with the children, who were easily entertained by anything you did, so it wasn't too difficult to get everything in order.

One of the activities you were doing to make the kids happy was blowing up several balloons, and we all know that colorful, flying things for sure caught their attention.

And it's no exaggeration to say that when you announced that you two were going to distribute the balloons, everything would become chaos.

The children were in a crying and screaming war to see who would catch the balloon first, several children surrounding you and your boyfriend, with even some clinging to both of your and his legs. It was such a mess that even some mothers had to give their unruly children a little scolding.

But it was already too late for that. Everything happened in a fraction of seconds, and you could only notice that the big pants that Yaku was wearing were on the floor of the party room when a little girl screamed.

"MOM LOOK, THE SHORT CLOWN IS WEARING A KITTEN UNDERPANTS!!"

A child accidentally pulled Yaku's pants too far, causing them to fall down and reveal his underpants that you gave him jokingly as a Valentine's Day gift (which you actually bought for both of you, since it was a couple's set).

The moment this happened, the entire hall remained silent, some with a look of shock on their faces at the embarrassing situation, and others holding back laughter.

In no volleyball match has Yaku reacted as quickly as he did now, immediately picking up his pants from the floor and running to the out of the ballroom in embarrassment. You, of course, felt sorry for him at the moment, but not even the makeup you were using could hide the redness on your face as you tried to hold back as much as possible not to laugh at his situation.

"Yakkun w-wait...! W-Wait for me!!" You say with your voice cracking amidst the laughter that escaped your mouth, and quickly follows the boy.

That night, while everyone was celebrating your cousin's party, you and Yaku were sitting on the lawn outside the hall, with you not being able to stop laughing, and Yaku already starting to prepare mentally knowing that you definitely plan to tell his teammates about this.
