Starting to see some Moo Deng backlash at last (by which I mean backlash to the conditions in the zoo she's being kept in and how much she's handled, etc.) which I am really relieved about because I thought I was going insane seeing Absolutely No One raise an eyebrow about all the videos and images that are out there of her. Like, I'm a layperson without any expertise in this area, but seeing image after image of a zoo animal in an all-concrete enclosure who always seemed like it was stressed out of its mind as it was grabbed and blasted with hoses seemed, like. Not something I was comfortable just not asking any questions about.
#didn't say anything until now because as I said I'm not an expert in animal welfare or behaviour#and I didn't have the energy to do the research to see how reputable the zoo was#and if I was being overzealous in being worried#but even just *how many* videos there were seemed concerning to me#because like do they ever leave this hippo alone??

not to be about opera again but to be about opera again. as an art form it has the reputation of being super stuffy and something for snobs who don't know how to have fun only but honestly this was one of, perhaps even THE main theatrical entertainment for centuries. i wish people knew how hard these things can go and how engaging they can be. like characters kill and die and fight wars and (almost) commit human sacrifice left and right. characters fall in love they mourn they're ecstatic they cry they're furious it's an extremely dramatic and emotional art form! and i understand that opera does not appear approachable bc of the general conventions of the art form but i promise old works can be fun and engaging if you go watch them with some preparation beforehand (reading the libretto helps) - not to mention not all operas are old bc there are so many modern operas which engage with topical events! also the music slaps.
#le triomphe de trajan (1807) out here calling for a man's execution with this banger:#point de grace pour ce perfide; que tout sons sang coule sur un autel#(no grace for this treacherous man; let all his blood flow on an altar)#this is also annoying to me when people write historical fic and the characters treat the opera as this elitist thing#that they don't know anything about.#you know when they go to the opera reluctantly and then they have no idea what's going on on stage or who the composer is.#which is. very unlikely for anyone with the money to attend an opera in certain opera houses in the 19th c. tbqh#like im more of an expert on paris and vienna idk what it was like in london#but if you were decently (upper) middle class or nobility (esp in paris) you went regularly. this was like a whole social space too#i recently read a fanfic and one of the characters was like 'oh it's in italian. i don't know that' and the other character went like#'it's by a man called donizetti what did you expect'#(this was situated in 19th century london)#like first of all. donizetti was NOT a librettist he was a composer he did not write the text#and second of all. he worked on french operas ?? so did rossini. and spontini.#opera was an incredibly international art form. also bc productions would be performed in different countries all the time#(sometimes changed and/or translated but not necessarily)#and again like i said. this was one of THE main forms of entertainment. people were familiar with its conventions! it was well-liked!#ofc bc of the seating prices it was not very accessible to lower classes most of the time#but lbr most characters that get written into an opera scene in fiction are at the very least decently bourgeois lol#i wish people knew how to properly historicise forms of entertainment whose reputation has changed in the modern era#from what it was a century or more ago#very adjacent to people 'cancelling' old lit bc of 'bad takes' like idk how to tell you this but people thought different back then#completely different world view from what we have today. that does not make lit from that era irredeemable it is just from a diff. time#acknowledging that and reading the text critically but also still enjoying it are things that go tgt here#ok rant over (it is never over)#curry rambles

What is online reputation management India | explain by Infyq Seo experts
This is the digital age, whereby the reputation of a business or a person is emulated by an online footing. You are either a small business owner, a multinational corporation, or even a public figure; you are partly defined by what a person is going to find out about you on the internet. This is where online reputation comes in. That's where we come in here at InfyQ SEO Experts—to provide highly specialized help to businesses and persons who realize their reputation either adds or takes away from their status in the gradually paperless digital universe.
Understanding reputation management
Basically, ORM is the process of monitoring, influencing, and managing a brand's or even individual's perception online. It is basically a mix of methods and strategies used to control what people see in perceptions regarding a person or business in the online space, especially in search, social media, and review websites.
ORM does not only aim at suppressing negative content but also looks at enhancing positive information that characterizes or defines the image that an entity wants to project.
Importance of Online Reputation.
With increased reliance of consumers on the Internet for research before they make any decision, online reputation becomes really important. Here's why:
Builds Trust and Credibility
One of the critical success factors in delivering any business relationship is building trust. Any search your prospective customer may conduct over the internet needs to result in something that builds confidence in your brand.
1.First Impressions Count
The majority of times, search engines are where a future customer will have their very first experience with your brand. It's extremely hard to recover from a bad first impression. We can help in forming that positive first impression through ORM, shining a light on the positives with your brand, and making sure any negative content is at a minimum or removed altogether.
2.Influence Buying Decisions
Modern-day consumers are much better informed and use online forums and review sites to a great extent. A poor online reputation can make a huge difference in purchase decisions. Online management gives you a better way to influence how consumers think about your brand, product, or service and will more likely drive them toward a positive purchase decision.
The Various Key Strategies of ORM
In order to manage and regulate your online reputation, it deploys quite a few strategies. Some of the key constituents of this comprehensive package include:
1. Monitoring and Analysis
The first step of ORM is being aware of what people say about you online. This involves search engine results, not to forget social media, review site platforms, and other channels for brand mentions.
2.Content Creation and Promotion
positive content is very important for strong online reputation. High-quality content represents the core values and expertise of your brand. we do provide blog posts, press releases, great articles and social media updates with good contents that let you show off your strengths. This content is also shared on multiple platforms so as to reach maximum individuals.
3.Social Media Optimization India
Social media is the greatest of all platforms that stands to influence your customer's perception. In the realm of our ORM services, we bring to the table SMO that aid you in the professional administration of your brand's social media avatars on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Our team makes content that is bound to engage, motivate, and connect to your target audience, which thrills your followers to more positive interactions. We ensure that more friends are initiated from the conversations and that all the comments and messages are replied to instantly in order to retain a positive image.
4.Link Building Services in India
Link-building is another critical step in ORM, as through high quality backlinks acquired through reputable sites, one can boost the authority of website and its ranking in search engines.
It is one such brand that deals with specialized link building services India. we have a strong belief in working on the creation of a robust and diversified backlink profile through guest posting, influencer outreach, and content marketing.
5.SEO Optimization
Search engine optimization is an integral part of ORM. We optimize the website and its content, leaning toward the relevant search engine keywords to increase placement on SERPs. It doesn't just give you the visibility, it controls what that visibility says about your brand.
It performs both on-page and off-page optimizations to ensure that the positive content comes up above the negative information. This will include website structure optimization, improving load times, and enhancing user experience.

anyway if you, like me, need the soothing balm of experts geeking out over valtteri's driving, eat up:
Over his three seasons in F1 [including 2012, when he was a Friday reserve driver], Valtteri has spent eight days with Rob Wilson, accompanied by his Williams race engineer Jonathan Eddolls, always chasing the tiniest edge of elite performance. Wilson, who has sat alongside some of the best in the sport, is impressed. “His true gift is the relationship he has between himself and the surface of the road. He has an innate ability to feel the grip,” says Rob. “When Valtteri brakes hard there is an under-rotation of the front wheels by about five percent (anything over five percent is a lock-up). What he is able to do is feel that under-rotation and he’ll start to adjust his brake pressure accordingly. He will also adjust the steering to take off more weight from the tyres and will attempt to get the wheels turning at virtually the same speed as the car. When that is achieved, the car bites and finds a lot more grip.” Wilson adds that on entry to a corner, Valtteri will incrementally move the steering wheel to set up the car for the turn-in phase. The small movement is barely visible on the telemetry but is the point at which he starts to transfer the weight of the car and set up the rotation. The technique used on a road car around an airfeld can be directly translated to the high-speed twists of Sepang (or elsewhere) on board the FW37. But it isn’t just turn-in and braking where Valtteri is impressive; fine technique at apex and exit contribute to his pace. “At the point of rotation, Valtteri will often put on another degree of steering in the middle of the corner so that when he is beyond the apex point he can take a degree or two of steering out, which means he can drive the car to the exit of the corner, rather than have it driving him. That means there is less lateral G-force in the acceleration zone and ultimately less tyre degradation. That gives him an advantage over others.” Jonathan Eddolls says Bottas also has the ability to adapt his style [for shortening corners] accordingly and will look at each corner independently to gauge whether he takes more of a U- or V-shaped racing line. “Often you are governed by the performance of your car,” says Eddolls, “but if you watch onboard footage closely, you’ll be able to spot one of the techniques of Valtteri’s driving that gives him a net advantage. Watch through the high-speed sweeps of Turns 12 and 13 at Sepang. Certain drivers will drive through the left-hander and instantly turn the wheel for the right-hander, so they are always turning and putting lateral force into the tyres. Bottas will look to create a ‘flat car’ between those two turns. After steering into the left-hander, he’ll straighten up the car for a few metres, before turning for the right section of the corner.” “Valtteri has a gift for his rates of input and will have far fewer energy spikes than Felipe Massa,” explains Rob Wilson. “In terms of natural talent, he’s up there with the best. He’s similar in talent to Kimi Räikkönen, but Valtteri is probably the more creative of the two.”

Reputation Management for E-commerce: Winning Customer Trust
In the fast-paced world of e-commerce, where competition is fierce and customer expectations are higher than ever, reputation management has become a critical aspect of success. E-commerce businesses operate in a digital landscape where consumer trust is paramount, and even a single negative review can significantly impact sales and brand perception. In this article, we'll delve into the importance of reputation management for e-commerce and explore strategies to win and maintain customer trust in today's competitive market.
Understanding the Significance of Reputation Management
In the realm of e-commerce, reputation management encompasses a range of activities aimed at shaping and maintaining the perception of a brand among consumers. It involves monitoring and responding to customer feedback, managing online reviews and ratings, and actively cultivating a positive online presence. The significance of reputation management for e-commerce cannot be overstated, as it directly influences consumer purchasing decisions and brand loyalty.
The Impact of Trust on E-commerce Success
Trust is the cornerstone of any successful e-commerce venture. In an environment where consumers cannot physically interact with products or sellers, they rely heavily on trust signals to inform their purchasing decisions. A strong reputation instills confidence in potential customers, reassuring them that they are making a wise and safe investment. Conversely, a tarnished reputation can erode trust, driving customers away and damaging long-term profitability.
Building a Positive Online Reputation
Building a positive online reputation requires a proactive and multifaceted approach. Here are some key strategies to consider:
1. Deliver Exceptional Customer Service
Providing exceptional customer service is fundamental to earning and maintaining a positive reputation. Promptly address customer inquiries and concerns, resolve issues with empathy and professionalism, and strive to exceed expectations at every opportunity.
2. Encourage and Respond to Customer Feedback
Actively solicit feedback from customers and encourage them to share their experiences through reviews and ratings. Monitor online platforms and promptly respond to both positive and negative feedback. Acknowledge customer concerns, offer solutions, and demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction.
3. Maintain Transparency and Authenticity
Transparency breeds trust in the e-commerce realm. Be honest and transparent in your business practices, including product descriptions, pricing, and shipping policies. Authenticity resonates with consumers and can differentiate your brand in a crowded marketplace.
4. Monitor and Manage Online Reviews
Regularly monitor online review platforms, social media channels, and other relevant websites for customer feedback. Address negative reviews promptly and constructively, seeking resolution and showcasing your commitment to customer service. Highlight positive reviews and testimonials to reinforce trust and credibility.
5. Invest in Secure Transactions and Data Privacy
Security is paramount in e-commerce, particularly concerning payment transactions and data privacy. Invest in robust security measures to protect customer information and ensure safe and secure transactions. Display trust badges and security certifications prominently to reassure customers of their safety.
6. Cultivate a Strong Social Media Presence
Social media plays a pivotal role in shaping brand perception and engaging with customers. Maintain an active presence on relevant social media platforms, share valuable content, and actively engage with your audience. Respond to inquiries and comments promptly, demonstrating attentiveness and accessibility.
The Role of SEO in Reputation Management
Search engine optimization (SEO) plays a crucial role in reputation management for e-commerce. Optimizing your website and content for relevant keywords can improve your visibility in search engine results and help shape the narrative surrounding your brand. By proactively managing your online presence through SEO, you can ensure that positive information about your brand ranks prominently, mitigating the impact of negative content.
In the fiercely competitive landscape of e-commerce, reputation management is a cornerstone of success. By prioritizing customer trust and implementing proactive strategies to manage your online reputation, you can differentiate your brand, foster loyalty, and drive long-term growth. Remember that building a positive reputation is an ongoing process that requires dedication, transparency, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. Embrace reputation management as a strategic imperative, and you'll position your e-commerce business for sustained success in today's digital marketplace.

People do react to my talking incessantly about Robespierre as if I’ve developed a true crime obsession with Ted Bundy.
Oh no. I am so sorry. But yeah, this is not surprising.
I suppose the only thing you can offer is to say that the idea of Robespierre as an evil overlord is an outdated belief that modern experts disagree with, even those who are not otherwise sympathetic to Robespierre. The key thing to say is that Robespierre was not the ruler of France - it is a simple historical fact that is not disputed.
The point is to demonstrate that it is a well-established opinion among today's experts, and not some rando's conspiracy theory born out of evilness/morbid fascination with horrible men.
(I am triggered by true crime so idk if there is anyone defending Ted Bundy in terms of "he didn't do it" or is the point more like "he did do it but he was misunderstood/abused/attractive so I don't care (?)" but none of that applies to Robespierre).
#ask#anonymous#frev#robespierre#and yeah i know different historians will have different opinions#thermidorian propaganda is still alive#and anglo hitorians tend to be hostile towards frev#but modern experts do agree that robespierre was not the ruler of france#and also that he was not the one who singlehandedly ushered the terror#so there are reputable sources on that at least

whenever a news story starts trending on here it becomes obvious how deep the lack of critical thinking and media literacy really goes. we all love to make fun of people's misinterpretations of fictional stories and constantly joke about the lack of reading comprehension skills on tumblr but the sheer number of people on my dash who are more than happy to reblog baseless claims and posts that are full of misinformation is truly astonishing. it's stuff that can be fact checked by clicking on the first google search result as well. you don't need to be an expert. and yet no one bothers to do their own research. or to simply shut up about something they don't know anything about. that's another great alternative!
#resist the siren call of social media clout#and if you cant#maybe read a single article by a reputable source before sharing your opinion#please#also#it's especially telling how many ''tumblr famous'' people feel compelled to have an expert opinion on EVERY TAG in the trending list#just because you recognize someone's url#and they speak with confidence#does not mean they're an authority on anything#anyway i just realized idc anymore#poast now#&

Can’t believe this coworker of mine (old, white, ex-US Navy SEAL, military history fan) just tried to argue with me about Thor Heyerdahl’s primary thesis being bogus. Like excuse me, sir, yes, you could probably kill me in under 30 seconds but that still won’t mean the Polynesian voyages in the Pacific started by anyone accidentally drifting haplessly away from South America.
#I mean my coworker is legitimately an interesting dude#he worked on both Apollo missions#but that doesn’t make him an expert on the history of the world and everyone in it#it’s better to cite Vikings of the Sunrise presumably#but not much better#which I haven’t read yet but know by reputation#personal shit ahoy

Linkin Park was an 90s and aughts rock band that achieved great popularity at the turn of the millennium. The above conversation makes many references to Linkin Park lyrics, which would be very well known by people in the early twenty-first century of a certain generation, but not necessarily by those who are older or younger.
The original speaker here is reacting in fury at the constant references, which are eliciting a "groaner" response often seen by puns. But using lyrics directly in a similar manner to their original purpose means that these references, while humorous, would not be considered puns.
“who is linkin park?” - one shot KO by my younger coworker
#period novel details#explaining the joke ruins the joke#not explaining the joke means people 300 years from now won't understand our culture#I was going to put Linkin Park as an 'emo' band since that is how I knew them way back in the day by reputation#but apparently they are NOT considered to be part of the emo rock genre?#I don't claim to be a music expert and I only learned about Linkin Park by osmosis#but it is weird to learn that the one and only band I would name when asked to list emo music isn't considered emo#I think musical subgenres are weird and more a matter of social distinction than actual music objectivity#maybe hipster emos might have found Linkin Park too mainstream#but are you saying a thirteen year old with black hair pink highlights and black nail polish wouldn't have been rocking it to “crawling?”
