I wish Crowley was real so I could ask him how to brutally murder all fungus gnats in houseplants forever and always permanently with no possibility of return ever in the history of the world if anyone has Crowley level plant knowledge please advise if there is a solution to be rid of them even more effective than re-potting, checking for root rot, and thoroughly washing the pots or killing each one directly with my bare hands bc these horrible bastards keep coming back somehow and I'm soooooo fucking mad about it!!! Leave my baby succulents ALONE. OR ELSE.

I’ve never had much of a green thumb, but I’m doing my best with this succulent. The she used to look more like a palm tree with how extended it was. I’m talking five inches tall. I learned that this means you gotta behead and replant it, as well as find a sunnier spot. I hope I didn’t just kill this baby who’s been with me since 2019, but so far It seems she’s doing really well! It used to be just a stump in the soil, and now I can’t (gently) pull it out due to all the roots it grew. I replanted in mid to late august so that’s pretty good progress! If I did it horribly wrong like I feared she would’ve withered by now.
The leaves are more of an experiment. I heard I could propagate them and in all honesty didn’t do much research on that. Judging by the control leaf (left side, in my fingers) I’m at least doing something right. If they get roots, I have a new pot ready and waiting for them.

He's flowering! For a while, I was concerned that he wasn't going to live because half of his little branches started shriveling up. I moved it to a warmer, brighter spot, and just hoped things would improve. And now we have a flower stalk.

Exciting times in the garden right now.

Got some new plants and reported my aloe vera. The top 3 plants that all are the same were sold as one plant, but I'm pretty sure they were actually 5 separate plants they just put in the same pot so they could put up the price of the plants. Lame. Also, got a cute dinosaur decoration 🦕❤️

i know it’s fucked up and leggy u dont have to tell me, she’s in an east-facing window rn but for most of her life up until a few months ago my mom kept moving it around to places where it really wasnt getting enough light and she didnt water it enough :(
she had sprouted a bunch of extra stems a little while ago and was getting really top-heavy, so i put her here recently so she can be supported by the sill and get more light, and idk if u can tell from these pics but the heads of the stems are getting more compact which im really happy about!! shes beautiful however she is but i want it to be healthy and not struggling lmao
im planning on rearranging her somehow, either by repotting so that long stem is buried, or cutting off some of the new heads to restart (or both). and im also FINALLY getting some leaves i pulled off to start rooting !! literally been trying to do that on and off for almost as long as ive had her 🥲
THE POINT IS ive managed to keep it alive for at least 5 years, and also now its pulling some wacky shit on me but im here to support her new ideas 😌💖

Good news! My housing coordinator gave me the go ahead and I'm getting a lil leopard gecko buddy!! Going to be busy refreshing myself on all of that research I did while begging my mum for one when I was a teenager
